The other day I discovered that, regrettably, I no longer am a Spring Chicken. Time flies when you’re making fonts… So, after I recovered from that shock, I created this font and called it Spring Chicken! Spring Chicken is a handmade cartoon-ish, script-ish, dunno-how-to-label-it-ish font. Use it and be rad.

This typeface reproduces letters written with a broad-nib pen casually by hand. The pen direction is close to vertical. Designed to create captions for illustrations, especially children's books, as well as for inscriptions in balloons of comics.

Let me tell you a secret: This font has got absolutely nothing to do with nougat or France. I just love nougat, and I actually ate some while finishing this font! My wife is a good at making cakes, and lucky for me is that she too adores nougat - that way I often get delicious cakes with nougat :) Well, back to the font - a handmade rounded sans-serif, comic, organic, all-purpose with a playful attitude. Goes very well in both UPPERCASE and lowercase. I'd say you can use this for pretty much anything, but categories such as organic, packaging, kids product or sweets come in mind!

ITC Fontoon was designed by Steve Zafarana of the Galápagos Design Group in 1995. Eyeballs was designed at Bitstream by designer David Robbins. Its beginnings can be found in Bitstream’s Old Dreadful No. 7, where Mr. Robbins first conceived the capital I. Every time I bring my youngest son to his swimming lessons, I need to show my Covid Vaccination Pass; a QR code on my phone. I thought that I would be off the hook after I showed it the first time, but no, not at the swimming pool! It feels a bit like a bad comic book, so I decided to name this comic book style font Identity Check. Of course, I should have called it Covid Vaccination Check, but that is just too much and it probably won’t sell. Who wants a font called Covid?? ;-) Identity Check is a comic book style font. The glyphs are wider than I am used to (it seems I AM capable of learning new tricks), but the effect is rather nice. A 1940s British music collection of classical music piano pieces entitled "The Great Masters Series" had its title hand-lettered in a free form, casual sans serif with a cartoon style. This is now available as Just Great JNL.
