This fine lined display type face was named Allioideae because of the ascenders of the lower cases. They are rising upright with a single stroke and are ending - depending on the font style - into a spherical blossom. The name was chosen concerned to the plant allium, that forms an umbel at the top of a leafless stalk, when it is blooming. Allioideae is the name of a subfamily of monocot flowering plants in the family Amaryllidaceae. The name is derived from the generic name of the type genus, Allium. The wide and round capital letters are showing a nice contrast to the lower cases and giving the font a kind of female feeling. That provides a functional and lovely use in headlines for all beauty and cosmetics issues.The typeface appears in 4 different styles. a plain style – Allioideae, a stencil style - Allioideae Stencil, a (dotted) style for both - Allioideae Dot and Allioideae Stencil Dot. It supports multi language as it covers all the latin diacritics and a cyrillic character set. Lots of numbers as monospaced, lining figuers, old styles, sub- and superscript and many fractions in two different styles are giving a nice finish to that font. Also some matching ornaments are included.

We named this font Scholz Secession. Fin-de-siecle Vienna, Austria is the source of this Jugendstil design from Schriftgiesserei Eduard Scholz. The original release was under the name Reklameschrift Secession. Most of the curve strokes look like commas to me. The letters are as soft and plump as the comforter on the bed I slept on in a Salzburg B&B many years ago. I was traveling with a college buddy and our next stop was Vienna. There a kind, young student named Hanna and her boyfriend took us under their wing. One of the places Hanna proudly showed us was Otto Wagner’s Majolika Haus, built in 1898, and only about 8 blocks from Secession Hall. Hanna explained to us that the style was called Jugendstil and represented Art Nouveau as interpreted within the framework of their culture. I even took a picture. After all, memories are part of who we are. Figures are old-style for text use. This font would not be my first choice for a spread sheet. Included are German ligatures ch (alt-0123) & ck (125), two period ornaments (135, 175) and lower case o and u with Hungarian long umlaut (215, 247)). A very likeable and easy-to-use font.

Linotype Zapf Essentials is the modernized version of Zapf Dingbats and was also designed by Hermann Zapf himself. Over 372 characters and symbols are included within six fonts and make life a little more communicative, a little more informative, and a lot more interesting. The fonts contain symbols for both professional and everyday uses. With their markers, ornaments and arrows they are informative as well as versatile, timeless and lively. An interesting note to the story of Zapf Essentials: in 1977, Hermann Zapf created about 1000 sketches of signs and symbols. ITC chose those which became known around the world as Zapf Dingbats. For a typesetter, dingbats are the characters in the corner of the type box which can be used for just about anything. The last decade has seen the appearance of new symbols for e-mail, fax, mobile phones and other developments. These are now part of Linotype Zapf Essentials, just as they are now a part of everyday life. A helpful hint from Hermann Zapf: Linotype Zapf Essentials should be used sparingly so that the characters retain their emphasis.

In 2007-8, Carolyn Puzzovio developed this OpenType typeface: Lagoon which is based on an Armenian model from the Mechitarist monastery, Venice, 1810. This project was supported by a grant from the AHRC (Arts & Humanities Research Council, UK) and won a first prize in the Granshan 08 type design competition. Oſten, Armenian digital types are designed to match the forms of Latin type characters and ‘Latinized’, by uprighting the forms; truncating ascenders and descenders and raising the x-height – but in this case the Latin characters in the OpenType font have been designed to blend in with the traditional Armenian proportions which are based on cursive forms – also incorporating some of the quirky shapes from the original model. Faithfully following the original created difficulties of ‘clashing’ characters, particularly those with long descenders, so the font contains over 100 alternative characters in the Armenian part, which will normally substitute automatically where necessary. The sloping lower case characters and upright capitals are traditional in Armenian – capitals are used less in the Armenian language. Three new characters for the Armenian unicode range are included: the Armenian dram (currency) symbol; the eternity symbol; and the index number symbol. This font which will be one of the first OpenType fonts to incorporate these newly unicoded characters.

Lopsickles is a family in which the letters are based on lopsided, distorted ellipses. The family has four sets of letters that are combined in six different ways, yielding six fonts. Four of these fonts (styles AB, Ad, Bc, and cd) use the OpenType feature Contextual Alternatives (calt) to alternate letter sets so that top-heavy characters alternate with bottom-heavy characters. The spacing in these fonts is designed for alternating characters and will result in overlap if the characters do not alternate. The other two styles (Ac and Bd) are spaced normally. Style Ac contains the two character sets that are top heavy and style Bd has the two character sets that are bottom heavy. The Ac and Bd fonts have italics and backslanted styles that may be useful to suggest speed. Each of these ten fonts has an inset style designed to be used in a layer above the base font. This layering can be used to give the effect of hollow letters or to add a colored interior. Lopsickles joins several other alternating-characters families in the IngrimayneType library including Snuggels, CloseTogether, and Caltic, but is visually very different from them. It is a strange, unusual family that will get noticed.

So far the Creator Campotype standard version known in the form of free font (published on several websites by license: free for personal use). The font takes the basic form of modern typography, but some user feedback consider it in the medieval look. Whatever it is, the inspiration of the font was originally set off from the logotype of internal student magazine where the designer had studied in the late 80s. Creator Campotype is a pure display font. This fonts do not have faces lowercase, but all caps. Nevertheless forms of different characters can be accessed by pressing the uppercase and lowercase on the keyboard. Maximum usage can be made by combining them as necessary. Some forms of characters were made more stylistic such as slash and backslash which “out of” the conventional form. In addition, the circle effects on several glyphs were created by default (as found on the free version) so that the glyph was enough to generated with the keyboard access as usual. This is Kimberly Gesweins own handwriting, named for a sweet California friend of hers. Kimberly has spotted the original free version of this font in use in the far outskirts of China, and now - with the expanded language support - this Pro version can also be used in more remote parts of the western world. Googie Architecture, also known as "Midcentury Coffee Shop Modern," was born in California during the Atomic Age. If you take the South Shore Line from Chicago to South Bend, your train will pass though the small community of Beverly Shores, Indiana. The beautifully restored and highly colorful “Beverly Shores” train station sign not far from the Lake Michigan beach is the source of inspiration for this connecting script typeface. The sign’s existing ten letters have now been extended to include the entire alphabet. This old-fashioned depot letterstyle is much in the spirit of such faces as Fulton Sign and Inserat Cursive. Ascenders and descenders have been lengthened and capitals are now much larger. Alternate lowercase swashes, capitals, and small figures have been included for your convenience. And custom uphill words such as “The,” “for,” and “to” have been added for more novelty and spark in headline settings. Beverly Shores Script with Alternates is also available in the OpenType Std format. Some new characters including old style figures have been added to this OpenType version. Advanced features currently work in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress 7. Delfino Script is a cool, connecting script that can appear both retro and contemporary. Curved on the outsides of strokes, and jagged inside, the forms look like an abstraction of strips of tape, folding and flowing, or even marker pen style lettering. This script is not created by any pen though - its forms are constructed, not painted. Typographic features like ink traps add sparkle to the text. OpenType features include ligatures, contextual alternates (for more realistic connections) and stylistic sets. Stylistic Set 1 changes certain upper case letters into forms more suited for all caps setting, although they can also be used freely with the lower case. Set 2 changes the r into a less scripty form and set 3 adds a connecting tail to the q. Delfino Script would find itself at home in cookery books, fashion blogs, vintage car magazines and set large and proud on expanses of concrete, or, most likely, whatever you might have in mind for it! Delfina Script is practically identical to Delfino save for round tittles, periods and any other dot shaped glyph components. Strangely for such a little change, it does seem to give the face a different character.

The birth of the monospaced types dates back to the past. There was a need for the creation of typesets for typewriters. The difficulty was to align the different glyphs in the same width. This led to particular problems with letters like “M” and “l”; the former seemed to be squeezed into the same width of all letters and the second one appeared way too streched. Despite – or perhaps because of – the impression of the typewriter is still popular with Graphic Designers. Nowadays there are even monospaced versions of primarily proportional types; for example the the Sans Mono designed by Lucas de Groot or the DIN Mono. Then again, why not the other way round?! In the first half of the Nineties, Erik Spiekermann developed a proportional type named ITC Officina based on the Letter Gothic. According to a survey on the 100 best fonts of all time conducted by FontShop, ITC Officina is in an eighth place, far ahead of its forerunner. This was the reason for me to create a wider design with a Serif and a Sans Serif based on the queen of all monospaced types – the Courier.

Milk Drops is a semi-casual-feeling cross between a didone and slab serif display font. Elegant, flourishy, whimsical and bold, as much as one font can be any or all of those things! It has highly contrasting weights, but not so much to take itself too seriously or risk legibility. Playfully, it entertains the teardrop motif wherever it can – in expected areas like the descender of a "y" and the ascender of an "f", but also in some whimsical flourishes. Many of the uses of the teardrop motif are implemented on the terminals and ears where many old prints may have suffered from bleed of ink – answering a "what if" question like "what if those accidental bleeds were designed on purpose?" or "what if a font were designed as though it was already seen through blurry eyes?" Milk Drops also features stencil-like open counters and lots of ligatures (32). Note also, it has some super-nerdy additions like symbols for Bitcoin, Pilcrow, Interrobang and Irony Mark. Language Support Milk Drops is highly versatile – with an impressive count of 470 glyphs, it can accommodate up to 78 latin-based languages.

M Razor is so called ""neo Sung-style"" typefaces. Crossbars (橫) and stems (豎) are orthogonal and upright. Their entry and finial points are squarish, parallel without flare. Contrast of strokes is extremely high. This creates sharpness, stiffness in the midst of elegance of Sungti. Even distribution of space, careful positioning, size and proportion of radicals create a slightly expanded, opened and balanced construction. Zhonggong are slightly expanded, its relatively less inter-character spacing makes the line of text better coupled and aligned. Its features and construction create a feel of wholesome, elegance with contrasting sharpness and stiffness. It is best suited for casual, creative display eye-catching text, set upright (non-slanted), non-condensed.

Monthly Calendar JNL is a companion font to Calendar Blocks JNL, and features classic wood type lettering and numerals from the 1800s. A set of large numbers are on their own keys, while the numbers 1-31 reside on the A-Z and a-e keys respectively. The days of the week are on the lower case “f” through “l” keys, while the names of the months are found on the “m” through “x” positions. An open rectangle is on the lower case “y” key, and a solid black rectangle is on the “z”. For those who wish to use the 23/30 and 24/31 configurations, they can be found on the left and right parenthesis.

Applbitz is a set of three pixel style fonts which include a matching set of food related pix fonts. The regular style is a text font, which is optimal at 14 points when used in flash. Keeping with the original theme from 1859 Fill fonts are available for the Ornamented and Open faced versions of this font. Falstaff first appeared with Monotype in 1931, an alphabet in the style of a wide, bold antiqua that was especially popular in the first third of the 19th century. Such typefaces distinguished themselves through their consistent basis in the transitional antiqua style. They are characterized by their extremely fine unflexed serifs with no curve connecting them to the thick strokes. The numerals with their generous curves and ball-like stroke endings and beginnings are particularly decorative. The vertical strokes are dominant and give lines of this typeface a column-like and therefore static look. Falstaff is today often used for book titling, especially for mystery novels. It is best used sparingly in middle and larger point sizes.

Core Circus Rough is a textured version of Core Circus which is a layered type family consisting of seven 3D effect layers, eight 2D effect layers and one shadow effect layer. Uppercase and lowercase letters are separated by such features that counters are opened or closed. Core Circus provides other closed counter styles such as numbers with opentype feature (Stylistic Alternatives). Jochen Schuss, the Biedenkopf, Germany, designer who was most recently responsible for ITC Vino Bianco, has created in ITC Whiskey a condensed display face that's both angular and soft at the same time. While the letterforms of Whiskey are clearly roman, there's a slight reminiscence of blackletter in the face's narrow proportions, its dark weight, and its persistent internal angle - not quite the 45 degrees common in a classic German textura, but a gentler angle of 25 or 30 degrees. And the counters are all rounded, as are the ends of all the strokes, giving Whiskey a comfortable friendliness despite its severe structure. The character set includes an alternate z" and an "ft" ligature."

Country Western is a revival of the classic William Page font known as Clarendon Ornamented originally designed in 1859 and again in 1877 by Vanderburgh & Wells. This version combines the best of both versions and adds something new. New to this font are the lowercase, italic, swash and script versions plus Greek and Cyrillic character sets. Keeping with the original theme from 1859 Fill fonts are available for the Ornamented and Open faced versions of this font. Greek, Cyrillic, Central and Eastern European characters sets are supported in the Windows TrueType and OpenType formats. The Windows and Mac PostScript Type1 versions of this font, however, do not support Greek, Cyrillic, Central and Eastern European characters sets.
