Costanera is a neohumanist typeface with both soft strokes and endings, which is inspired by 90s typefaces. Stapel is a contemporary closed sans serif with sci-fi looking forms and eloquent, thin stroke joints. The superfamily consists of three subfamilies of different width: Normal, Narrow and Condensed. Each subfamily contains seven weights with corresponding true italics. Additionally, there are several extra wide bold styles. All these styles work perfectly in headings and short display texts. Another important subfamily is Stapel Text which includes upright and italic styles of lower contrast and more generous spacing. Text styles are great for body text in small and medium point sizes. Salvatore is the neo-grotesque younger brother of Nutmeg type family. It comes with 36 weights that have been separated in two flavours. The first half is Salvatore normal, which has more neutral features; and the second one is Salvatore Roman, which has more versatility at the end of the characters. The name comes from the Mad Men character Salvatore Romano, who was a publisher in the mid 60s. In that period, grotesques typefaces ruled advertising, nevertheless, there wasn't a typeface that represented publishers as Salvatore Romano, that’s why we gave birth to this project. Homenko was the only Ukrainian typeface for metal type casting developed in the last century. It has already become a 'classic'. Vasyl Homenko worked on it from 1964 to 1967. The typeface successfully combines the qualities of lineal humanist typefaces with the Ukrainian tradition of asymmetrical slab serif. The works on its digitization and further development has been in progress since 2000. The present version contains Latin Extended characters, Cyrillic with stressed alternates and several ornaments based on Vasyl Homenko's works. Geometry circle is a heading/display type, built with the intent to illustrate and attract the viewer, not to be used for long text. The inspiration comes from the Futurist movement typefaces, especially from Marinetti’s own workshop on new age typography of that time (Italy 1920). The typeface is composed of only capital letters. The letters are of an unique geometric design taking the basic 64 grid system and subtracting the shape of a circle form each glyph in a unique way to form a letter. There is a full complement of typography symbols as well as a support for Central and Eastern European symbols and characters.

Havel is an updated interpretation of a Czech type design from the 1930s. It is powerful and very condensed. At a quick glance you might find kinship with other condensed typefaces of the same period, like Spire (Sol Hess, 1937), Onyx (Gerry Powell for ATF, 1937) or Quirinus Bold (Alessandro Butti, 1939). But Havel has its very own look, rooted in the rapidly disappearing "Eastern European Type", a typographical tradition where poster and packaging design were the highlights. Torbjörn Olsson has revived this classical Czech beauty, and the Open Type version, Havel Pro, can also be used for Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian.

This font takes its name and the overall shape from modern bentwood furniture, namely Scandinavian designs since the 1940s. The curved corners of the letterforms are practically hyperbolic, to convey the tension and strength of the bent plywood. These curves are meant to appear more dynamic than circular or elliptical segments of traditional sans serif fonts. The letterforms are simplified, without extra corners, stems, connections or hooks, yet remain legible at any size. Now at version 2, Bentwood contains Central/Eastern European, Baltic and Turkish character sets and more ligatures with Open Type functionality. Some minor corrections were made to letter shapes and positions, as well as to kerning and spacing.

Adams is a revival and major expansion of Dolf Overbeek's Studio typeface and Flambard, its bold counterpart, originally published by the Amsterdam Type Foundry in 1946 and 1954. This digital version adds small caps and a new light weight. Adams is a simple upright, flat brush script, with stroke angles carefully designed to give the same color in all sizes. It is reminiscent of the sign lettering commonly found in the 1930s and 1940s. The Adams fonts are available in all popular font formats, and the character sets cover a wide range of codepages, including Central and Eastern European languages, Esperanto, Turkish, Baltic, Celtic/Welsh.

Future Bugler Soft is a soft version of Future Bugler, a font based on the second logo created by Harry Warren in early 1975 for his sixth grade class newsletter, The Broadwater Bugler, at Broadwater Academy in Exmore, Virginia, on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. This font can convey several perspectives or moods. It can suggest a space-age vision of the future, or an art-deco perspective of the future as in the movie “Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow”. Superba Pro is a condensed Egyptian font family with short ascenders and descenders. The dots on the lowercase ‘i’ and the German umlaut-vowels are square. Haas Type Foundry created the original Superba in 1928-1930. Steve Jackaman (ITF) designed and produced a digital version of the bold weight in 1992. In 2017, Jackaman completely redrew the bold weight, added an accompanying wide weight, and expanded the glyph set to support Central and Eastern European languages. Like other slab serif faces, Superba excels at display sizes and is comfortable at subhead sizes. ­ It is robust, and has “superb” legibility, allowing it to dominate attention in any project it is utilized in.

CA Cape Rock, first released in 2007 and now reissued and expanded, is an impressive display typeface. Designed with a fat Clarendon and wood type in mind, the typeface’s bold and distinctive forms add spice and personality to any design that requires a strong display aesthetic. CA Cape Rock is particularly enjoyable for use in headlines and ideal for highlighted text. With already two dozen existing ligatures and many OpenType swashes, the new edition also received letters for use in the Central European and South Eastern European area. Cleaned and harmonized paths, a completely new kerning as well as a newly added Italic (Slanted) style are also among the new features.

Akkordeon is a display font family roughly inspired by grotesques from the XIX and XX centuries. Bouwsma Script, based on Philip Bouwsma's own handwriting, was originally released in 1994 and settled for nothing less than being an instant classic. One of Bouwsma's widely used works in the 1990s, Bouwsma Script finds its home now at Canada Type, where it was updated with the Euro symbol and complete support for Turkish, Baltic, and Central and Eastern European languages. It now also comes in all popular font formats, including OpenType. Real, casual, friendly, and loaded with the designer's artistic touch, Bouwsma Script can be seen around the globe on plenty of store signs, book covers, product packaging, promotional posters and a variety of other paraphernalia.

Ambiguity is a type family with five distinct personalities or ‘states’, created as a tool for coaxing designers and brands out of their comfort zone. It embraces both tradition and radicality, as well as generosity and thrift, encouraging us to question our beliefs about the intersection of style and meaning. The family is designed by Charles Nix, who describes Ambiguity as “as much thought experiment as typeface.” Its five states—Tradition, Radical, Thrift, Generous and Normate—each express or subvert different aspects of typographic tradition. Tradition is conservative, relying on historical letter shapes. Radical rejects inherited ideas of proportion, making typically slender letterforms wide, and wide letterforms slender. “It’s contrarian,” says Nix. Thrift cherry picks the condensed shapes from Tradition and Radical, while Generous does the same for wide forms. Normate sits at the center, a synthetic blend of all of the others. “Tradition is very comforting,” says Nix. “It’s the mask of conservatism. It’s calming because it delivers the proportions we expect. With Thrift more fits into a smaller space, so it’s great where words want to get large, like gigantic headlines, or text needs to cram in, like small screen type. You get a sense of carefree and luxury from the Generous cut. One would expect the Radical to be used in a sort of Dadaist way, but in a classic context it provides an enjoyable jolt.” Ambiguity is a litmus test. Designers could spend hours trying on typefaces that offer just one of these voices. Ambiguity provides five different personalities—ideas—beliefs—each of which also work seamlessly together. “It’s a palettea, like idea cards,” he says. “It’s a way of making yourself see differently. My hope is that traditionalists will try on radical clothes and vice versa. It’s a way of exploring outside your comfort zone, breaking out of the doldrums, by stepping through a variety of voices.”

A classic “American” sans serif with a kink Desphalia belongs to the kind of sans serif fonts that were created in the 19th century. You could also name it “American Gothic”, a sans serif in the style of fonts like Franklin Gothic, News Gothic and similar. Above all, the high x-height characterizes this typeface style, as do the identical heights of uppercase and ascenders. However, I allowed myself a few peculiarities ;-) On the one hand, there is the gently sloping horizontal middle line on letters such as H, E, F, A and e. The M also got gently slanted sides. Some of the lower-case letters have an up- or down-stroke: a d m n p u. This "kink" on the shaft also serves to better distinguish the small l from the capital I — as can be seen clearly with the term »Illinois«. In keeping with the tradition of American typefaces, Desphalia does not have a true italic. Rather, the letters of the “Italic” have the same character forms as the normal upright variant, but in oblique — and so it is not called “Italic” but “Oblique”. Style Set 01: Another American peculiarity is the capital I with dashes above and below. It is included in the Desphalia as an alternate character form. An alternative small l with the “kink” in the ascender is also included — as is a y with the “kink” in the descender. Style Set 02: The corresponding “straight” forms a d l m n p u without the break are included as alternatives in a separate style set. Small caps are uppercase letters that are optically the same size as lowercase letters. They offer a very classy way of emphasis. Desphalia is available in the widths Condensed, Normal and Expanded, the weights include Thin, Light, Book, Bold, Black. Using the variable font, all intermediate levels can be freely selected. The figures are optionally available as tabular figures, proportional lining figures or old style figures.
