I just visited my good friend Jakob Fischer from Pizzadude.dk in Denmark. As always we talked fonts, drank coffee and walked endlessly through Copenhagen, the city where he lives. We thought it would be a fun idea to each create a font from a handmade sign we saw in the city. We only had like 7 glyphs to work with, so the rest was up to our imagination. We also thought it would be nice to give the fonts a similar name. Mundbind means mask in Danish. When you Google translate it, it will give you the wrong translation (it will say 'mouth piece'), so trust me on this one! My font is called Mundbind NL - where the NL stands for Netherlands. Jakob will hopefully call his finished font Mundbind DK - where the DK stands for Denmark. Mundbind NL comes with a monster load of diacritics (including Vietnamese) and two alternate glyphs for the lower case letters that will cycle as you type.

Babysitter is a nice, feminine font. It can be used for a variety of purposes. Very unobtrusive in nature, yet with a big impact! Comes with all the accents, bells and whistles.

This is Lady Slippers, a delicate and beautiful typeface resembling one of Eliza Gwendalyn’s popular modern calligraphic styles! She is the full blown version with many OpenType bells and whistles such as, swashes, ligatures, discretionary ligatures and stylistic alternates. Enabling them makes it possible to create beautiful and seemingly hand-written calligraphy designs. Then there’s Lady Slippers Basic, Lady Slippers Loops, and Lady Slippers Align. These fonts are toned down versions of Lady Slippers. Still beautiful and delicate handwritten script typefaces, they are meant for users who don't require all of OpenType goodies. More Or Less was made with a permanent marker pen on thin Japanese paper. It is a handwritten note-style font with an uneven baseline and zippy glyphs. Comes with bells & whistles and a whole bunch of diacritics.

We have created this family inspired by the old-fashioned stencil letters like those the French army used during the WWI to write on soldiers' clothes, blankets, signals, ammunition, supplies and so on. This is a Didone-style font. We offer two variants for the same font: monospaced or proportionally spaced. Our Open Type specification allows automatic substitution of letters to avoid repeating the same glyph when a letter is repeated (for example “ee” or “bb”)(Not available with accented characters and a few others like “Q” that are never repeated in common use).

The Font has an aggressive and bloody appearance, evoking the wild west and supernatural horror. The design is dense and strong, with each letter occupying a significant space in the line. Allez Hop is a very useful font: it comes with all accents, bells and whistles and has been created using scans of handwritten text. It has a certain 'quickness' to it, not unlike someone jotted down a couple of lines on a notepad.

Friedrichsfeld is a small town near there where I live. Friedrichsfeld, Voerde and Wesel was Part of the Preussen Kingdom till 1912. Friedrichsfeld was a Parade ground of the preussen troops and get the name of the King Friedrich II (the old Fritz). Today there is a Preussen Museum near Friedrichsfeld in Wesel. The Font comes in two ground Version, one in the history Letters and old Ligatures and a modern Version.

Copperhead is an 'all caps font' with thin rounded serifs. This font is specially designed for customers or companies fancying the Goudy's Copperplate font, though slightly different and restyled. Copperhead is a fine and easy readable font for advertising, logo design and can be used for headliners, all kinds of graphic & typographic work and corporate design also.

As part of the day job I had to trace an old hand drawn logo of a Masonic Lodge from a very poor scan. When I finally got to the end of it I had almost a whole alphabet and I really liked the hand drawn uneven quality, so I made up the rest of the letters and set about making it into a font. I roughened up all the edges for an even older look, added a host of OpenType features and hey presto, Masonic Lodge was born. There are two versions of each letter and number which automatically alternate when contextual alternates are set, more alternates for O and o characters, a good amount of interlock style L and T ligatures (uppercase) and a square & compass ornament. Use it for pub signs, secret society meetings, monster movie titles and pub menus.

CA Capoli is a fine script typeface with a vintage touch. Perfect for illustrative titles or logotypes. It comes in two styles, Regular and Stroke. The inspiration came during our trip to Italy, where we took a short rest in a bar during a hot day. We discovered a simple ceramic ashtray on the table. The word “Nido” was inscribed in a typeface that looked like it dated back to the 1950s. We made some investigations about the word, its meaning and origin but it still remains a big mystery. Was it the name of a hotel or a restaurant or some vintage Italian cigarettes? We don’t know. We were so amazed about the design of the logo that we decided to create a typeface out of it. A sophisticated endeavor because we just had four letters. How could the rest of the letters – if it ever existed – have looked like? Our hypothesis is CA Capoli. A typeface with a full Central European character set and some nice alternative letters to chose from. When we thought about “Nido” and its possible derivation of hotel business, we felt like creating a small side project for this typeface, a brand for a fictional hotel called Hotel Capoli with business cards, letterheads, a reception book, key fobs and embroidered patches for the service dress of the hotel service stuff. The Hotel Capoli is located at the wonderful beach of Cape Arcona on the fictional country of Arcona Islands where our type foundry is located.
