Honesty was the first font published by the Studio in 2020. It was a typeface with flared stems. 2 years later, we are now publishing Honesty Sans. It is inspired by the original design but is revisited as a sans serif this time. Honesty Sans keeps the inspiration from the incise genre and font such as Albertus or the Trajan but with softness, thanks to its low contrast and smooth curves. Honesty Sans is highly lisible, which offers a variety for use, from titles, edition of texts, branding, magazines and so on. Its large variety of glyphs, including accents, old-style numbers and ligatures will give uniqueness to your designs. Honesty Sans is available in 16 styles, from thin to heavy in roman and italic.

Mestika is a resinous spice, in Arabic means gum, the name is Mestika cause the mestika has a mixture of sharp edges and cursive connections, that mixture gives the typeface an edge to stand out, a low contrast sharp design with 9 weights making it works well with text and headlines. The design is a collaboration with the Iranian designer Kamyab Jafari, The typeface is a modern design, and has a wide range of ligatures and features for better justifications. The typeface comes with 9 weights, and works in variable axes, the typeface now supports only Arabic-based languages, but in the near future, it would support Latin-based languages, the Typeface is based on Naskh calligraphy, something in between the Iranian and the Arabic styles.

Originally designed in 1985 and released by Letraset for dry transfer Lettering, Kestrel has, until now, never been digitized. The face now has been completely re-drawn and digitized for all formats. It is a heavy formal script similar in form to Commercial Script.

Satsuma. It used to be only a Japanese orange, but now it's a typeface as well. A rather unusual typeface. Satsuma is rough around the edges, squarish and playful. It is handmade and comes with over 400 interlocking ligatures. If that ain't fun, I don't know what is! Of course, Satsuma comes with extensive language support AND accented ligatures! Due to the complexity of this font, it only comes as TTF.

Willy small but fine is a typeface with a wink. This display font is based on existing piquant form from the immediate vicinity. It is sexy, if you have an eye for. But it also should not be taken too seriously, especially because it has a humorous slant. The font has its origins in an art project. The original characters, and now-rarely-seen alternate characters, for Memphis, designed by Emil Rudolf Weiss for American Type Founders in 1930, provided the pattern for this wispy, ultralight typeface. Although intended primarily for headlines, this typeface can also be used for brief blocks of text, if set 18 pt. or larger. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

Released in 2006 under the name Flatrock this new 2020 version takes back the original name of Big Cat. Also new for 2020 are two solid black weights and Big Cat now has additional accented glyphs for eastern European countries. Alardo is intended for branding that is synonymous with sports. The initial character was built in bold with a bold personality, but thin strokes and flowing italics provide a flexible and unique family series. Glyphs are made in low contrast strokes, short ascenders and descenders, and low caps.

I have long since been using my own Bullets in positive and negative and four styles, serif, sans, engravers and script, a fitting one for every occasion. Now I added six more designs and perfected the Bullets for all of you. The following is a »must read«! Here is how to use them: (Important! Set letterspacing to '0', otherwise the two digit numbers will have gaps!!!) The numbers 1-0 reside on the standard keys. Two digit numbers 01-99 can be composed out of left and right half circles by using (lowercase) 'abcdefghij' for the first digit (left half circle) and 'lmnopqrstu' for the second digit (right half circle). The critical pairs (all combinations with 1) can be found in various places. The minimal character of this typeface with its direct reference to Bauhaus, manages to keep the balance between strict geometric structure and elegance. Looking back on my production to date, neither so little nor so large, it does not come as a surprise to find myself now introducing Lady René. A brief review of my career would read as follows: graphic designer graduated from Buenos Aires University, a 10-year professorship in Typography in the same institution, an illustrator in the making. For almost 15 years now my work has focused on the design of editorial pieces, predominantly books and CD sleeves. Typography proper has always been central to my research projects. All my obsessions eventually embodied as much the search for a perfect, spotless text as for a daring and provoking one. In my view, "how-to-say-something" ranks highest amongst a graphic designer’s responsibilities. It was in this vein that I called in the written word to illustrate, to draw, to narrate. Why not reverse the saying and proclaim that “a word is worth a thousand images”? If so, one single word could trigger endless meanings, associations, ideas, and memories in every reader’s mind. Language, we know, has a strong power and is a living expression of a culture. In my illustrations, letters and drawings reunite in one synergy said and unsaid, the finiteness of the message and the freedom of the free reading. And this is how and when, Lady René, my first born type font sees the light of day conceived out of a love of illustration and a reverence for the written word, recalling the whimsicality of the handmade drawing and reflecting its sensitive, warmth and spontaneity. Enabled by the characteristics of Open Type and the hard, outstanding work of designer Ale Paul, Lady René succeeds in composing texts in a simple, organic way by means of its contextual and stylistic alternates, swash characters, ligatures and connecting words. A bundle of decorative miscellanea completes the set of signs, enabling the user considerable freedom to create new typographic landscapes. The main reason I wanted to design this font was because I really didn’t like how poorly some fonts tried to mimic an Oriental appearance. Trying to make western words appear Asian with a font composed of brush strokes is almost always doomed to failure. However, I find Croasian works extremely well with one syllable words that are Asian sounding. A good font to have if you want to express an Asian name or business phonetically in a western alphabet while still retaining an Asiatic feel. Here’s an intriguing mixture of 1930s deco and modern tech fashion. Travel Kit Medium is a sturdy semi-serif hybrid with one foot in the past and another in the present. It is slightly low-waisted with extended crossbars on the capital A, E, F, H, K, and P. But the capital B, M, R and X are distinctively contemporary with the E and M repeated as unicase letters in the lowercase. Optional retro characters (notably the unicase e and m) have been provided if you prefer a more traditional overall look - and your software allows access to these characters. Simply find and replace the more modern letters with the older ones. In addition, small caps with even more alternate characters have been included for greater flexibility and convenience. Travel Kit Medium with Alternates is now available in the OpenType format. In addition to small caps, lining figures, oldstyle figures, and petite figures, this expanded OpenType version contains additional stylistic alternates and historical forms. These advanced features work in current versions of Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress. Check for OpenType advanced feature support in other applications as it gradually becomes available with upgrades.

FF Angie Regular won the Brattinga prize at the 1990 Morisawa awards in Japan.

Franciszek Otto of Poland designed Linotype Notec in 1999. Linotype Notec is a low-tech" (or even "no tech!") typeface. By embracing handwriting's spontaneity, it has gotten as far away from technology as it can. Classified as an "inky"-style script face, for lack of a better term, Linotype Notec's informal design seems immediately artful and full of expression. Its irregularity and unexpectedness enlivens any composition, similar to how jazz or modern dance animate a room. Quite full of "ink," Linotype Notec's "strokes" are written in a sort of short-note-handwriting-style, which a slow-writing, thoughtful humanist might theoretically scribble to himself late at night. Yet Linotype Notec's character still maintains a jolt of energy; try Linotype Notec in small applications, in any size from 12-point on up."

Willard T. Sniffin designed this extra condensed art deco typeface for American Type Founders in 1932. Low-waisted capital letters curve in stunning geometric fashion next to large, oversized lowercase letters. The heart of this classic design is undeniably 1930s but it also looks just fine in contemporary situations. Many of the original alternate characters plus a few new ones have been included in this complete digital version. Newport Classic with Alternates is also available as an OpenType font. This version now contains small caps, lining and oldstyle figures, prebuilt fractions, stylistic alternates, word ornaments and a wide assortment of f-ligatures. These advanced features currently work in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign and Illustrator. Check for OpenType advanced feature support in other applications as it gradually becomes available with upgrades.

Originally released in 1995 as a three font family, Paradigm forcefully addressed the emaciating effect that digitization was then exerting upon traditional serifed typography. Investigating the new media of a much previous era, Nick Shinn deconstructed the first roman type, designed by Sweynheym and Pannartz in 1467, and gleaned, from its minuscules, the low contrast and discreet serif treatment (portrayed by a novel convex effect), which he subsequently applied to both capitals and lower case of a classically proportioned Venetian invention. Now in 2008, the glyphs, metrics and hinting of the 1995 fonts have been refined, Extra Bold and Light weights added, a full range of OpenType features instituted, and the number of characters per style increased almost threefold. It is a major upgrade to a unique typeface.

Bombay is serif type family by ManVsType. It is ideal to use at larger sizes as a display font. The family comes in 5 weights in 2 styles (normal stem height and low stem height). This font is variable in its weight and "connection" heights in the letters a, b, d, h, m, n, p, q, r and u. The typeface has a number of ligature including an R+s ligature that automatically turns into the ₹ (rupee symbol) to solve a major problem in the Indian subcontinent where people don't know how to type it. Bombay is inspired by the colonial version of the city. The city being a melting pot of all kinds of people. Poets, writers, filmmakers enjoyed the city and it quickly became the cultural hub of the entire country.

A crispbake is a kind of cracker or rusk you eat for breakfast. At least, in Holland we do. They are called 'beschuit', they are round and they come in a pack of 13 (which is a baker's dozen). It turns out that this odd number of crispbakes in a pack comes from the fact that the ovens they were baked in held 13 crispbakes in a row and it was easier to pack them like that. So, should this question pop up during a game of trivial pursuit, you now know the answer! Crispbake font is a crunchy brush font. Completely handmade using a brush and Chinese ink. This fresh all caps font comes with a set of alternate glyphs and extensive language support, including Vietnamese and Greek.
