PF Libera was designed at a time of leisure with no particular intention for commercial use. In fact it was offered in the beginning as a freeware. In 2001, designer Charis Tsevis was convinced that it may have some commercial value, so Parachute obtained the rights to sell this typeface. At that time, we did not even imagine what would follow. Since then, PF Libera is one of our most successful typefaces. We have seen it being used in very diverse applications. From publishing to advertising to banking, to transportation, to retail applications. Food, beverages, fashion, automobiles, tourism, the list goes on and on. The hand lettered, condensed stencil title on a movie poster for the 1950 film “Customs Agent” inspired both the digital typeface and the font’s name. Customs Agent JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The 1912 publication "Essentials of Lettering" has an example of a hand lettered, condensed spurred serif design called "Compressed Roman". This is now available digitally as New Thin Roman JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

The hand lettered title for the 1954 film “Power of the Press” was done in a condensed sans serif type style that is now available digitally in both regular and oblique versions as Local News JNL.

Alina is a laid-back condensed script font. Alina includes OpenType ligatures to all lowercase double letters to make them subtly differ from each other. So Alina feels a little bit more hand lettered and lively.

A late-19th Century song book entitled "Gems of Scotland - A Beautiful Collection of Scottish Songs" had the words "Gems of Scotland" hand lettered in an ornate, condensed type style now reproduced digitally as Gemstone JNL.

I really wanted to make my own condensed typeface for memes and such. I think i have succeeded. This typeface is so average looking that no one would suspect that it is in fact very radical.

Summerville JNL is a condensed Art Nouveau slab serif design inspired by a typeface called “Superior” [found in the Barnhart Brothers & Spindler type specimen book circa 1897], and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

A 1930s print ad for Miller Tires featured lettering in a condensed slab serif design. This provided a design model for the digital typeface Automotive Service JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The typeface Yusyad is designed mainly for a very sentimental and emotional reason. Those names represent the name of the designer's wife (Yusra) and the name of the designer (Eyad). Yusyad is like an epithet that ties the two partners' honest and eternal relationship until the last day of their lives. Technically, Yusyad is a sans-serif condensed and display typeface. It comprises seven fonts with dual styles and multiple weights. Specifically, it has two main styles, namely, the normal and the inline design. The normal style comes in five weights (i.e., thin, light, regular, bold, and black) whereas the inline style has two weights (i.e., regular and bold). Calps is a condensed sans serif font. An unfussy design, the font is designed to be consistent across such letters as a, b, d, q, p, g and C, G, O, Q, creating a uniformity for the set. Phosphate Pro is an all-caps sans serif font family with an inline weight, and was created by Steve Jackaman (ITF) and Ashley Muir in 2010. The original Phosphate was published by International TypeFounders, and the family was based on the ‘Phosphor’ typeface created by Jakob Erbar for Ludwig and Mayer, circa 1922-30. Jackaman created a condensed variant, 'Phosphate Condensed Pro,' in 2017. Phosphate Pro has incredible presence, and its power shines in display format. Apple, who is notoriously selective about their software choices, included Phosphate Pro in the system fonts for Apple’s OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

Roadway is based on U.S. highway lettering observed on New York street signs. Two weights of capitals would often be used on the same sign, condensed for the main name, and a half-size regular superscript for ‘road’ or ’street’. Roadway is a Small Caps font. The upper case consists of condensed capitals, the lower case consists of regular width small caps, sized at 50% and superscript. A small superscript comma and period, aligned with the lowercase, are at keystrokes < and > respectively. A small hyphen lining with the superscript lowercase is at the en dash position (Mac: option hyphen, Windows: alt-0150).
