This in-yer-face kinda face is based on a broad brush font from "The New ABC of Showcard & Ticketwriting" by C. Milne, published in Australia in the late 1930s. Brought to my attention by Ms. Kat Black, and named in honor of Ms. Kat's grannie, to whom the book originally belonged. The Postscript and Truetype versions contain a complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252); in addition, the Opentype version supports Unicode 1250 (Central European) languages as well.

Hanah Hebrew without cantillation marks, very much used in everyday modern Hebrew. I have added Alternate Stylistics with just some additional cantillation marks which in some cases may be necessary. Terrance Weinzierl's Terry Junior typeface is a perfectly imperfect design – one that retains the marks of the brush used to create it and harks back to the craft required to hand make letterforms. Originally drawn during a Monotype Font Marathon, Weinzierl later refined the typeface digitally – adding an Inline version and designing alternates that replicate the irregularity of real-life brush scripts. “It has a natural, cheery and bold appearance,” says designer Terrance Weinzierl. “It's young, but not wild. Painted, but not sloppy. A sign painter's apprentice, perhaps.” Terry Junior is an obvious choice for designers and brands communicating with younger audiences, but would also work well on book covers, packaging, and in digital environments that need a little bit of extra playfulness. Agatized Informal is a rough-edged stencil typeface with chunky letterforms and tight spacing. Designed primarily for display use, it’s ideal for posters, logos, advertising, book cover designs or small chunks of text such as pull-out quotes. The design is something of an enigma, a curious mish-mash of genres – imagine splicing Uncle Buck and Deadpool into a horror movie – it’s big, bold and funny although has a dark side. But what really makes this typeface a joy to drive is its boot full of alternative characters and ligatures. There is a saying: Use sparingly. Not on this street! Make your Glyphs palette burn rubber. Set your OpenType to full throttle: crank up your style and get those liga-tyres screeching. Agatized is a souped-up old campervan spinning doughnuts on the beach. The design started life as a piece of lettering for a book design that didn’t progress past the sketch stage. I liked the rough, dense character shapes, so during some down time I started drawing more characters and the lure of a new typeface pulled me in from there. Although this is a single-weight typeface it has a younger sibling, Agatized Formal, a neater, more dapper brother, smoother round the chops and smartly dressed – certainly no less fun though.

In March 2011, the Society of Typographic Aficionados began organizing a collaborative project that would unite the typographic and design communities. The goal of Font Aid V: Made for Japan was to raise funds to expedite relief efforts after the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Nearly 300 contributors from 45 countries sent in over 500 glyphs in a single week. Behind the scenes, volunteers Neil Summerour, Silas Dilworth, Delve Withrington, and Grant Hutchinson were up to their elbows in Adobe Illustrator and Fontlab assembling the typeface. The sheer number of submissions coupled with the complexity of some of the designs caused unforeseen delays in completing the typeface. The team not only managed the immense influx of submissions, it also had several technical hurdles and multiple content reviews to mitigate before the final font could be produced. Several months after the project was initiated, Font Aid V: Made for Japan was finally ready for distribution. With the help of Sogo Japan, all proceeds from sales of this typeface will be delivered directly to organizations in Japan, such as Second Hand and AMDA International (Association of Medical Doctors of Asia). Sogo Japan strives to help circumvent regular international charity channels and the inefficiencies associated with them. Weeneez JNL is an out-and-out novelty font made entirely of hot dogs. The font contains only the alphabet and numerals and a few other symbols including basic punctuation marks.

Lagoena Font was designed by Zainul Faozi from San Studio. This was inspired by road markings. This font fits on any project You make, on posters, logos, ads, banners, and more.

I started to work at the Bernhard Studio in 1952 to 1959 in New York. I helped with some type designs and many other projects, this two tiered signature was added on all of Bernhard’s art that was produced in the past and in his later years. In the 50’s I thought Bernhard’s Gothic face was quite a bit outdated but as you may know it has become one of todays most used faces. His signature is based on his Bernhard Gothic Font. With todays computer technology I have digitized the caps and added lower case glyphs with lower ascenders and other slight changes.

For well over a century, stencil machines allowed manufacturers, shippers and even the military to quickly mark and identify objects. Mechanical Stencil JNL was created from examples from one of these machines.
