A text and display font with square proportions, inspired by the type styles of soviet-era Russia. Very shallow ascenders and descenders and a large relative x-height, exaggerate the compact and geometric look. Related to Kursk 105 , its squarer-edged cousin.

Astrospy JNL is a square-shaped, futuristic techno-style font from Jeff Levine. It is very well suited for short phrases, but caution should be used in setting too many words with it because of legibility issues. Best used in larger point sizes.

The condensed style and square character shapes of a vintage typeface originally known as Raleigh has been re-interpreted by Jeff Levine Fonts as Tall Order JNL. There is an alternate A, K, M, N and S on the respective lower case keys.

Presenting a condensed Art Deco sans serif font with rounded corners and squared inner lines, based on the hand lettered title on the cover of the sheet music for 1944’s “Just A Little Fond Affection”. Allerton JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions, and was named after a neighborhood in the Bronx, New York.

Olivetta—an ironic sans. Its name is inspired by Antique Olive typeface. These two fonts share a few common design features but Olivetta is more in tune with the spontaneous, ironic style of today's typefaces. Olivetta illustrates the power of words as images. The high contrast between thick and thin strokes of the lowercase letterforms gives visual strength to the font. The stroke contrast increases as the weights get heavier. Olivetta comes in 10 weights with matching italics and each style contains more than 400 glyphs which include alternates. The lightest weights work well in subtle headlines while the heaviest ones are perfect for posters, short texts, branding and editorial design. The intermediate weights are ideal for continuous reading.

Based on a rounded square, ER9 is a very versatile futuristic feeling typeface. Its monoline design allows for easy customization for headlines and logos.

Komusubi is a new font family from Hajime Kawakami. It features Latin as well as Katakana and Hiragana. This lively display font comes in regular and bold for all three alphabets. In Japanese, Komusubi means to tie up a string or ribbon lightly. The Nipponian lyrical atmosphere of the word "Komusubi" reflects the casual tone of the font itself. There is also a "Komusubi" rank of the Japanese SUMO.

Hand drawn serif typeface designed for one of our books. It has upper and lowercase characters with up to three alternate glyphs. Build in OpenType Contextual Alternates feature will automatically set alternate glyphs depending on frequency of appearance of the same character (even in web font but only in HTML5 browsers). The script doesn’t throw random glyphs. For example in the word “HIPPOPOTAMUS” you will automatically get three different “P” glyphs and two “O” glyphs. This is my new, completely worked over and fine-tuned Bodoni Classic for Europe (no Greek and Cyrillic). I have added a set of elegant Swashes (B) and 2 alternating uppercase swirly Initials (C) as well as two lowercase end-letters (D). The fonts A and B have extensive kerning, which the initials (C) don't need, they are aligned to replace the standard capital letter. The lowercase end-letters (D) are aligned to replace the standard lowercase letters, so you might need to add a blank after the swirl. Alacant is a family of slab serif fonts composed of seven weights and their versions in italics. One of the most characteristic advantages of this font is its particularly square shape, very short descenders, open counter-forms and precise kerning that provides a very good visual impact and clear legibility.

Amber is a minimal font which is built on a grid of 3x3 squares. It was an experiment to see if I could build legible glyphs out of such a small grid. The 3 weights can be layered over each other to create interesting designs.
