  10. Corsa Grotesk by Typedepot, $39.00
Corsa Grotesk is our very own tribute to two typographic giants: the Futura and Avenir typefaces. It is Designed with geometric simplicity in mind with well balanced strokes and modern touch. Generous proportions and x-height with more contemporary details - the single story ‘a’ and the horizontally barred ‘k’ being just two of many examples makes it shine in every jobs it takes. Corsa Grotesk blends the classic geometric aesthetics into a well-balanced font with generous proportions and minimal contrast. It features 10 weights ranging from Hairline to Black plus matching italics, as well as Cyrillic support for Bulgarian and Russian localizations. Filled with all the essential OpenType features like tabular figures, fractions, ligatures etc, it is a great choice for branding, advertising, user interfaces or any text that needs a bit of polish and a slick, present-day look that still feels familiar. With its 2.0 version we managed to polish the font even more. We revisited every path and fixed all the inaccuracies throughout. Corsa Grotesk now comes with way better and consistent spacing and kerning, just the right amount of contrast and balance. Live Tester | Download Demo Fonts | Subscribe
  11. Cooper Screamers by Wordshape, $-
In 1925, at the request of Barnhart Brothers & Spindler, the foundry he worked for, Oswald Bruce Cooper designed a wide selection of "screamers", oversized exclamation points used to grab attention in display advertising. The foundry rushed the screamers into production, much to Cooper's dismay. Cooper was disappointed with the final form of the screamers– they were designed in assorted weights to match the assorted Cooper series of typefaces, as well as in a variety of other formal solutions- squaredoff, incised, wavy, Tuscan, and rounded. Cooper's working design methodology was to re-draw his projects a number of times in order to refine the formal results. However the screamer project was hastily cut by the head of BB&S's matrix engraving room in fourteen sizes from the initial sketches, causing Cooper to fire off a fiery missive stating, "Everything I draw is bum the first half-dozen times I draw it; the trouble with these is that I drew them only once!" This typeface is the result of researching Cooper's original drawings and series of engraved proofs for the screamers, as well as the original Screamer type specimen. Cooper Screamers have never been available before in digital format.
  12. Neue Plak Variable by Monotype, $344.99
A little-known design by Futura designer Paul Renner gets a long overdue update by Linda Hintz and Toshi Omagari, in this reliable and impactful industrial sans serif. Neue Plak offers more weights and widths than the original 1928 design, extending its use for branding, editorial, logos and UIs. The pair based their updated and extended version on the original Plak wood type, uncovering lost details and incorporating them as alternates – including the choice between open or strikethrough counters. Neue Plak's outwardly stubborn personality is counteracted by unexpected details, which make for an unusual juxtaposition of severe and playful. “It felt like we should pay Paul Renner more tribute,” says Hintz, who spent time researching the typeface in Hamburg's Museum der Arbeit. “The forms themselves are partly quirky, partly really fun, but with a German stiffness that makes for a strange mix.” Neue Plak offers 60 weights, including a new text version that pairs well with the display weights, and allows the design to function in print and digital environments, and for a wide range of uses. Neue Plak Text Variables are font files which are featuring one axis and have a preset instance from Thin to Black.
  13. Niemeyer by Latinotype, $36.00
Oscar Niemeyer is one of the greatest architects of our time—his unique way of mixing straight lines and abstract curves gives rise to an unmistakable and characteristic style. This typeface is my own tribute to Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. The design process started when my wife and I visited Brazil while she was running a series of workshops on calligraphy. In my spare time, I would walk through the streets of beautiful cities like Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo, enjoying the local architecture and urban life. I had also the opportunity to attend to some of the workshops during which I was able to observe the organic of calligraphy and people. Then, I started to draw some shapes that reflected everything about this beautiful place: Niemeyer’s architecture and work and, in his own words ‘the curves on the body of the beloved woman’. This versatile typeface comes in 8 weights with matching italics, alternative characters, oldstyle figures and much more! Niemeyer is well-suited for logotypes, advertising, publishing, branding and corporate use. Special thanks to everyone in the Latinotype Team (especially to César Araya) for their support, help with corrections and digital editing.
  14. Dobro by Sudtipos, $39.00
Strings vibrating against wood. Counterpoints. Strong beated rhythms and smooth flexible melodies. Repetitive sequences and syncopations. Sweeps and slides. Folk and tradition. That's how Dobro sounds. Inspired by the spirit of bluegrass music and the aesthetic of its wood type gig posters, this typeface explores certain concepts of rhythm and seeks to translate a piece of this universe into writing. Meant to be used in large sizes, Dobro is a 6-font set designed to work nicely together. It comes in 4 different weights, one color font with miscellaneous and connectors, plus frames and borders that pay tribute to vintage wood type catalogues. As an old company motto used to say: "Dobro means good in any language!" ––––––––––––––––––– IMPORTANT INFO ––––––––––––––––––– When you license Dobro you will download a pack with OpenType fonts but also a Color Font version of Dobro Drunk. 18. Goondocks PB by Pink Broccoli, $14.00
HEY YOU GUYS! Goondocks PB is a faithful recreation of the titling font from 1985 film, "The Goonies". This was a lot of fun to recreate and flesh out, and it has that purposefully awkward appeal that a lot of Pink Broccoli fonts are imbued with. With a pseudo unicase styling, wonky blockish style lettering, and that visceral tieback to the 80's, Goondocks brings back fond memories, perfect for those unorthodox creative designs.
  19. Spindletop NF by Nick's Fonts, $10.00
One in the series of fonts called Whiz-Bang Wood Type, intended to be set large and tight. Spindletop’s ultra-condensed letterforms allow a lot of information to be packed into little horizontal space. Named for a famous East Texas oil field that made a lot of people rich in the early part of the twentieth century. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets.
  20. Delicia Pro by Wiescher Design, $69.50
Delicia Pro Script is a versatile fat script designed with delicatessen shops in mind, it has lots of variations. There are for example seven different versions for the uppercase letters that can be accessed with opentype savy software. different ampersands, @-signs, Th combinations, lots of different lowercase letters and so on. The font can be used in all of Europe, Turkey and the Baltic countries (sorry no Greek and Cyrillic). Yours very versatile Gert Wiescher
  21. Grotbox by Aah Yes, $4.95
Grotbox is an interesting, if not startling, distressed punk font. There are two varieties: one with upright characters; the other with the characters rotated out of whack for extra informality. Legibility is maintained, despite the wild industrial feel of the typeface, and it's designed to grab the attention. The zip package contains both OTF and TTF versions - install either OTF or TTF, not both versions of a font on the same machine.
  22. Gigantic by Eclectotype, $40.00
Gigantic, as the name suggests, should be set large. The type is spaced "tight-not-touching" so you really don't want to go under 72 points. The font is intended to be used to create an impact - a chunk of text will have a graphic aesthetic while maintaining legibility. Because it's so bold, it's a great face to use with images showing through. Ideal for magazine headlines and posters, not so ideal for setting novels.
  23. Defect Scam by PizzaDude.dk, $12.00
Defect Scam could easily have been a name for a punk band. But it's not - it's the name of my stencil wannabe font. But, it was inspired by a combination of some punkband's LP cover and the vibes of that genre of music - but not overdoing it by making an obvious punk font! Well, you get 4 different versions of each letter in the Regular, Black and Fill versions, as well as multilingual support!
  24. Junkwerk by PizzaDude.dk, $20.00
Junkwerk is my heavy metal grunge font! It has got that feel like something that was stamped on, jumped on, shaken and headbanged for hours...just like how you would feel after hours of heavy metal! Comes with different upper- and lowercase letters, alternate letters and ligatures for both double letters and double numbers - and ofcourse it has got unique accented letters! You will need to use OpenType supporting applications to use the ligatures.
  25. Hollywood 69 by Fonts of Chaos, $10.00
This is not Hollywood. You may be surprised but I am not inspired by the famous Hollywood sign for this type but a grid on a roof of Barcelona. I walked down the street observing the architecture of buildings in the area of the Marina when I saw a grid on a roof. One of the workers put a board on them and the magic happen. Hollywood 69 is now free with 99 !
  26. Parula by Atlantic Fonts, $26.00
Parula is cool and lively like its sweet warbler namesake. Hand-drawn with lots of unique personality and line variation, Parula lends itself to any creative project requiring youthful energy. With double-letter ligatures and more, Parula has lots of charming options, easily turned on or off. Whether creating a look for a fun family game or the cover of a new children's book, Parula will be noticed. Parula pairs beautifully with Turmeric!
  27. Revolancer by Popskraft, $18.00
Are you ready? Ready to touch a completely unique font? The true postmodern typeface in history. Ready for a design revolution? This is the Revolancer font. This font will give you freedom. The freedom to be unique, not like everyone else. These are not just ordinary rotated letters. Each character in Revolancer font knows its place, and it is impossible to achieve such a smooth and organic flow of words using a regular font.
  28. XAirebesk by Ingrimayne Type, $14.95
I am not sure exactly how to classify these geometrical ornaments. They resemble the arabesque ornamentation of medieval Islamic art, but also have similarities to Celtic knots and to some Chinese and Korean ornamentation. The bolder of the two only works well at very large point sizes, while the thinner is designed for use at smaller point sizes. There are usually similar ornaments on the same characters of the two, but not always.
  29. Astoria Classic by Alan Meeks, $45.00
The latest addition to the Astoria Range, Astoria Classic has the same basic characteristics as Astoria but with vertical stress. The characteristic subtle top left serif which makes it not quite a Roman and not quite a sans has been retained. Unlike Astoria, the Italics in form are old style yet have a modern look. This is designed specifically as a text face, however it still works very well as a headline font.
  30. Blaq by Resistenza, $39.00
Inspired by Henry W. Troy, BLAQ is a new version of Trojan Text not available as font. Is an ornamental blackletter alphabet. Works great in headlines and other ‘masculine’ like design settings. The Victorian Gothic or Neo-Gothic is an architectural movement that began in the 1740s in England. Its popularity grew rapidly in the early nineteenth century. The revived Gothic style was not limited to architecture. We recommend to combine Blaq with: Turquoise Nautica
  31. Bark Type by Putracetol, $22.00
Introducing “Bark Type - Quirky Dog Font,” a playful and bold typeface inspired by man’s best friend. Ideal for children’s themes, crafting, invitation cards, packaging, posters, business branding, greeting cards, stickers, children’s books and magazines. Every letter is infused with elements that echo the playful and loving nature of puppies – a delightful addition to your creative projects.
  32. Humana by Linotype, $29.99
The story of Humana begins with an exclusive volume about some manuscripts in Biblioteca Palatina in Parma, Italy. The title page uses the characters upon which I designed Humana. I suppose they were drawn for that volume. Examining the reproductions in the book I found that the characters on the title page immitate the lettering in a manuscript from the 15th century with Petrarca's Rime volgari". Not bad as origin! But I cannot free myself from the thought that there may be a typeface with that looks, not just a few characters drawn for that volume. My reference books could not give me any answer about that. The name Humana refers to the humanistic era from which the characters originate. Humana was released in 1994.
