American type designer Christian Schwartz created this display and sans FontFont in 2005. The family contains 3 weights: Light, Regular, and Bold and is ideally suited for advertising and packaging, music and nightlife, poster and billboards, software and gaming as well as sports. FF Oxide Solid provides advanced typographical support with features such as ligatures, titling alternates, case-sensitive forms, fractions, and super- and subscript characters. It comes with tabular lining and proportional lining figures. This FontFont is a member of the FF Oxide super family, which also includes FF Oxide Stencil.

In 1962, the late Robert Libauer of the Stenso Lettering Company (of Baltimore, MD) revised two of his popular stencil lettering guides to offers users two choices: “traditional” stencil letters and numbers and "solid" letters for tracing and coloring. Solid Stencil JNL was modeled from one of those lettering guides, and contains all of the character anomalies found within that vintage stencil.

ULGA Grid Solid is the sharp, blockier sibling of ULGA Grid and ULGA Grid Rounded. The typeface consists of three weights, regular, medium and bold, with corresponding oblique styles. Every character in the extended ULGA Grid family shares the same width. Forged from a box full of ninja throwing stars – props from the now-forgotten 1976 Japanese film, Gridzilla, Revenge of King Gridorah – the solid shapes and sharp, chamfered corners give the characters a hard, cut-from-metal feel. A versatile display typeface that can be used for a wide range of purposes including CD covers, posters, packaging, advertising, nameplates for tractors, brochures and film titles. Mix and match with ULGA Grid and ULGA Grid Rounded, use the alternatives, sneak in an oblique style to spice things up, but most of all this is a fun typeface family. Solid Deco JNL was modeled after a small sign with the word "restaurant" in an unusual Art Deco solid lettering style. It was spotted within the same image of the Lenox Lounge in New York which gave forth the neon letters that became Sign Sans JNL.

Architype Crouwel is a collection of typefaces created in collaboration with Wim Crouwel, following his agreement with The Foundry, to recreate his experimental alphabets as digital fonts. Crouwel's most recognized work was for the Van Abbe and Stedelijk museums (1954 –72) where he established his reputation for radical, grid-based design. Architype Catalogue’s soft ‘padded’ letterforms were originally created by Wim Crouwel for the Stedelijk museum’s 1970 exhibition of sculptor Claes Oldenburg.. Crouwel said, ‘When you look at Oldenburg’s work, with all those soft objects, it gets into your system, so you try to integrate that feeling in the design. Claes was very taken with the catalogue's typeface, and asked me if I would do the whole alphabet for him, so I did. I cut it all out in pink paper and pasted it together’.

Chianti was designed at Bitstream by senior designer Dennis Pasternak in 1991 and initially released in 1995. The intent behind the design was to provide a humanist sanserif of high readability at a wide range of sizes and weights. Humanist sanserifs (others that fall into this category are Linotype’s Frutiger and Optima, and Monotype’s Gill Sans) are an attempt to improve the readability of sanserifs by applying classical roman structure to the letterforms. To enhance its versatility, Mr. Pasternak designed a wide variety of alternate characters, rare ligatures, ornaments and swashes. Chianti is a friendly sanserif useful for a broad range of typographic needs.
