Ames’ Shaded is one of three display typefaces designed to complement the Ames’ Roman and Ames’ Text typeface families. Ames’ Shaded has that semi-industrial feel that somehow is evoked by diagonal cross-hatching. Delightful for use on its own of with the families mentioned. Morris Fuller Benton's 1917 typeface named Invitation provided the pattern for this elegant and endearing face. Classic Engravers Roman style caps are exquisitely balanced with a sinewy lowercase, adding warmth and charm. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

This typeface takes its inspiration from Will Bradley's Ultra Modern Initials, released by American Type Founders in 1934. Unlike the caps-only original version, both versions of this font contain complete Unicode 1252 (Latin) and Unicode 1250 (Central European) character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan, and the Macintosh Roman character set, as well.

Based on a Roman character set, Gideon is a traditional typeface with classic forms. Perfect for uses from invitations, greeting cards and menus, to display advertising. The upper case letters have a tradition calligraphic feel that adds warmth and sophistication to text while the legibility allows for larger blocks of copy to be easily read.

Versals is based on Lombardic style letters which are sufficiently broad to allow for decorated piercing and flourishes. They may also form the basis of illuminated capitals. The face is presented as capitals with reduced copies in the lower case locations. It is a full latin set with, uniquely, a set of roman numerals.

Arsis is a condesed modern headline face that was originally produced and cast in hot metal by the Dutch type foundry Lettergieterij Amsterdam. The Arsis font family was designed by Gerry Powell in 1937. Arsis is a Serif (Antiqua) Modern Style font. Arsis font family attributes include roman serif, Didone, elegant, formal, modern style, feminine.

The Irish monk Columbanus founded early monasteries across Western Europe starting in the Sixth Century, bringing literacy in his wake. As the Patron Saint of Motorcyclists, the adventurous Columbanus is both gallant and respected. Arya is a display typeface, based on Roman proportions. It has three versions, differentiated by the amount of the drawn lines. Single is solid. Double is sturdy but light. Sinkwitz Gotisch is a new release of the font of the same name originally designed by Paul Sinkwitz in 1942. The Sinkwitz Gotisch was 1942 by Schriftguss AG Dresden font cast first cast and later supplied by the East German firm VEB Typoart. Paul Sinkwitz (1899-1981) has created them. This font displays not the characteristics of a chunky Gothic, which have influenced the image of national socialism. Paul Sinkwitz was a painter, graphic artist, wood engraver, was interested in religious topics, which he had presented in numerous graphics. But also his interpretation of his Gothic font is modern, without having the font this is ugly. In addition to the GOTISCH he created Roman Uppercase letters, which perfectly harmonize with the lowercase letters. This extra font is called BASTARD. The digital version of Sinkwitz is a beneficial addition to a Gothic with calligraphic character and should be in any historically interested graphic design.

I dedicate this font family to Nima Yooshij (1896-1960), the great poet and innovator of Persian poetry. Nima is a new creation of Naghi Naghashian. Nima design fulfills the following needs: A. Explicitly crafted for use in electronic media fulfills the demands of electronic communication. B. Suitability for multiple applications. Gives the widest potential acceptability. C. Extreme legibility not only in small sizes, but also when the type is filtered or skewed, e.g., in Photoshop or Illustrator. Nima's simplified forms may be artificial obliqued in InDesign or Illustrator, without any loss in quality for the effected text. D. An attractive typographic image. Nima was developed for multiple languages and writing conventions. Nima supports Arabic, Persian and Urdu. It also includes proportional and tabular numerals for the supported languages. E. The highest degree of calligraphic grace and the clarity of geometric typography. This typeface offers a fine balance between calligraphic tradition and the Roman aesthetic common in Latin typography.

When traveling in Paris, American designer Frederic W. Goudy did a rubbing of a second century marble inscription he found in the Louvre. After ruminating on these letterforms for several years, he drew a titling typeface in 1918, all around the letters P, R, and E. He called the new face Hadriano" as that name was in the original inscription. Robert Wiebking cut the matrices, and the Continental Typefounders Association released the font. Goudy designed a lowercase at the request of Monotype in 1930, though he didn't really like the idea of adding lowercase to an inscriptional letterform. The lowercase looks much like some of Goudy's other Roman faces. Compugraphic added more weights in the late 1970s, and made the shapes more cohesive. Hadriano has nicely cupped serifs and sturdy, generous body shapes. Distinctive individual letters include the cap A and Q, and the lowercase e, g, and z. Hadriano™ is an excellent choice for impressive headings and vigorous display lines."

Mynaruse Flare is a new version of the Mynaruse superfamily. This version eliminates the elongated serifs of the original, and instead stems end with a flare. You will find that the thinner weights are delicate and beautiful, while the heavier weights provide impact and strength. Mynaruse is inspired by the elegant and regal Roman inscriptional types. Reviving a handwriting style from centuries past is similar to playing antique musical instruments; the pleasure of communing with live music arranged centuries ago by brilliant composers is heightened by the use of authentic or reconstructed artifacts. A new revived" script from the Baroque epoch is the Waza typeface, developed by Polish designer Franciszek Otto. Waza is inspired by a Wilhelm Hondius (Hondt) etching. Hondius was a Dutch court engraver for the Polish king, Ladislaus IV of the Vasa dynasty. The decorative character of the script engraved in the etching is a display of Hondius's calligraphic skill. The tangle of the flourishes in the capital letters, as well as the decorative lengthening of ascenders and descenders in the lowercase, contrast ideally with the rhythmic 30-degree slant of the design. Waza includes a set of alternative capital letters that have been deprived of ornaments; these allow the setting of proper Roman numerals, e.g., Ladislaus IV."

That experience left a mark on me that over the years mixed up with my practice as a type designer. “Caligrafía Inglesa” is, basically, the spanish translation for the copperplate calligraphic style. This was the initial idea that led the spirit of the project, but from the beginning it started to develop a typographic personality of its own. The new Inglesa font comes in 6 weights –from a skinny monolinear to an elegant black– with a companion set of roman caps. The harmony in both styles transmits as a result, a strong english spirit but with a fresh latin spice, assuring the perfect combination for any elegant design.
