When I was starting as a stonemason, these were the first characters I had to draw, by hand, back then on grave monuments and memorial plaques. The idea was born to digitize all the material, to be saved for eternity. By digitizing all and fine tuning, plus the addition of some main characters, Stonetype has now grown into a user-friendly typeface that can, now still, be used by stonemasons, to improve their creation process times. But Stonetype can also easily be used in modern and contemporary designs. Stonetype is the perfect fit for graphic design, editorial design, magazines, posters, logotypes, brands and corporate design. Pelegotic makes you think of Scandinavian pioneer design, with its functional letterforms and architectural look. It is also a very versatile typeface, and fits easily as headline type for a magazine, or as part of a graphic profile for a company. It looks simple, but that impression is deceptive; the letters are drawn with a flair and individuality that shows the hand of a master typographer. Pelegotic Regular is rather thin, and is useful for big type like signs. Veteran designer Bo Berndal has created Pelegotic: "Pelegotic is a sansserif inspired by the Art Deco of the 20's and the Swedish functional style of the 30's. The slightly condensed design is an attempt to find a somewhat more elegant lettershape than the usually rather technical expression of monoline typefaces", says Bo Berndal. Pelegotic comes in three weights, with roman and italic in each weight. It is an OpenType creation, for both PC and Mac.

“Röijer” was born from a branding exercise done with “high care”, graphically developed thanks to the valuable help of designers Marcela Aguilera & Pedro Gonzalez, each letterform and every type design process was worked as a typographic jewel, as a strong bond between classical and fresh concepts (with a Lombardic and Art Nouveau touch). Röijer puts a dual capital model in your hands; a classic Roman and a fresh contemporary alternative, on each letter: the first located in a lowercase box looks formal and sober, while the uppercase box shows a glamorous and more daring look, ideal to being use at specific moments only. Röijer combine elegance and audacity in a very magistral way. It has 2 variants with 541 glyphs each one; a normal and a volumetric one, all with an ornaments set and a decorative objects set. Modern typefaces refer to designs that bear similarities to Bodoni and other Didone faces, which were first created during the late 1700s. Ed Benguiat developed ITC Modern No. 216 in 1982 for the International Typeface Corporation (ITC). Showing a high degree of contrast between thick and thin strokes, as well as a large x-height, this revival is more suited to advertising display purposes than the setting of long running text, or books. Many traits in Benguiat's design are worth further notice. The thick stems of the roman weights have a very stately, solid presence. Their thin serifs have been finely grafted on, a masterful solution to the challenge of bracketing presented by Modernist designs. The italic weights have a very flowing, script-like feel to them, and the letters take the form of true italics, not obliques. The ITC Modern No. 216 family contains the following font styles: Light, Light Italic, Medium, Medium Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, Heavy, and Heavy Italic.

One of the type examples found within the pages of “Lettering” by Harry B. Wright (1950) is a bold hand lettered serif typeface with a unique twist – the slab serifs had rounded corners, looking very much like show card lettering of the early 1900s. Heartsome is a ‘forgotten’ word. It was mostly used in Scotland and it means: ‘giving cheer, spirit or courage’. I had never heard of it, but I thought it deserved a second chance, so I named this font Heartsome! Heartsome is a handmade Didone; I used a brand new bottle of Chinese ink and a brand new synthetic pencil to paint the glyphs. Brand new, because all of my drawing materials seem to have evaporated when we moved into our new house… A synthetic brush, because I don’t want animals to suffer because I feel the need to create fonts.

When Jim Lee sent us pages of his latest project, DIVINE RIGHT, we knew we had to do something special for him. Something Unique. We knew we had to create a whole new look for his book. We spent weeks holed up in our Colorado mountain retreat, meditating on the true nature of leading and kerning, sketching out ideas and rejecting all but the best of the best. As the dreaded deadline doom rapidly approached, we suddenly knew we had the answer: A line of 'Celebrity' fonts -- digitally remastered lettering based on handwriting samples of the many Artists and Creators we all know and love. Of course, our first font would have to be...the SAMMY DAVIS Jr font! But Jim didn't like that idea and made us create a font based on his handwriting instead. You're no fun, Jim.

Gutter Pigeon is not your every-day Ransom-kind-of-font! The prices of making it was really simple: I only used my phone and computer. I took pictures of letter from newspapers, magazines, bookcovers, candybars, movieposters, roadsigns, etc. In the beginning, It was easy to find new letters. But as I had the initial letters, it became quite a search for the missing letters. Not a hard job, you may think - but this font has 8 different versions of each letter! That's 26 lowercase glyphs and 26 uppercase glyphs...8 times! That's more than 400 glyphs! And on top of that comes numbers and punctuation! Go crazy with Gutter Pigeon! Actually, that is not very hard, because the font automatically cycles through the 8 different versions of each letter while you type! Upper- and lowercase in a wild mix!

Dear Dolores has had its name from the latin word dolorem, meaning sorrow or grief. When I started working on this display font I found myself trying it out using the latin requiem texts. The capitals somehow sat well with the monumental and solemn words of mourning. The broken hairlines suggested stone cuttings where the fine details had been worn down and obliterated over time and it felt at home in a churchyard or in a monument park. Adding lowercase gave the font a more personal and friendly appearance and opened up new possibilities for use. The name itself is a fictional message to someone long missed or perhaps lost too soon. Dear Dolores comes in a cut and an uncut version where the fine details are left intact. Both are excellent for headlines or memorable quotes.

When drawing a new font, there is a time when the final form is found – almost – but the curves are not slick and clean yet, that's what I call the "raw" form. Raw – no sweeteners added! In this family I tried to redefine this moment in type development for the eternally beautiful "Franklin Gothic". I call the design "Franklin Gothic Raw", not to be confounded with "rough". The family can be used like any good normal typeface, you hardly see any difference to a conventionally cut "Franklin Gothic" in small sizes. The charm of the design becomes obvious the bigger it becomes, then it enhances your design with its imperfections in the outline. "Franklin Gothic Raw" is therefore an extremely versatile family. I created the cuts, that I considered necessary for the seasoned designer who knows what he's doing. Enjoy!
