In order to give new imput to the art of typeface design in Italy, Nebiolo Company held, in March 1910, an artistic competition for a new alphabet conception, so the best-ranked design would be transformed into a real new typeface. 42 competitors participated and, although the first prize was not technically awarded, "Ancora" resulted as the best typeface, created by the designer-typographer Natale Varetti of Turin. Nonetheless, the new alphabet was transformed into a full-fledged metal typeface in 1924, renamed "Tanagra" in honor of the Greek city in the center of Boeotia. The new font, although not significantly detached from the classical Roman form, introduced decorative elements that allowed its use in both rational and artistic compositions. This font appears very clear and easy to read, with very high ascenders and some decorations that make it distinctly retrò. Finally, after almost 100 years, this peculiar character has been digitized taking it as a model the shapes of the 16 points size (other dimensions have significantly different contrasts and proportions). To adapt it to modern use, some glyphs have been modified, but all the originals are available as Stylistic Alternate OTF, as well as all the swashed variants while the missing ones were added.

A 1766 specimen by Isaac Moore, former manager of Joseph Fry’s foundry in Bristol, England, shows many types inspired by John Baskerville’s. But a century later, standardization had foisted inept lining figures and shortened descenders upon these designs. Matthew Carter remedies the tragedy with Big Moore, restoring oldstyle figures, full-length descenders, and historic swashes to this regal serif in two styles.

This elegant monocase design is based on a nineteenth-century offering from Britain’s Stephenson Blake Foundry named "Fry’s Ornamented No. 2". Wroxeter is Greater Albion Typefounders' customary Black Letter release for Christmas 2013. It's a typeface family for all times of year though, a good clear traditional black letter re-creation offered in a family of four typeface:- regular, wrought (a hand-tooled look a la Mr F Goudy), oblique and narrow forms. The tradition of typefounders' black letter revivals which don't over-burden themselves with historical precedent continues in this highly refined and polished family.

Bunyan Pro is the synthesis of Bunyan, the last face Eric Gill designed for hand setting in 1934 and Pilgrim, the machine face based on it, issued by British Linotype in the early 1950s — the most popular Gill text face in Britain from its release until well into the 1980s. Gill’s last face doesn't date itself anywhere near as obviously as Gill’s other serif faces, which were all really products of their time, heavily influenced by the richly ornamental and constantly changing aesthetic trends of the interwar period. When compared to Gill’s previous work, Bunyan seems like a revolution in the way he thought and drew. It’s as if he was shrugging off all heavy burden of what was popular, and going back to the basics of older standards. Bunyan had no bells and whistles, doesn't risk functionality with contrasts that are too high or too low, and didn't venture far outside the comfortable oldstyle rhythm Gill grew up with. By interbellum standards, this was utter austerity, a veritable denial of deco excess. Surprisingly, even without all the cloying trivialities, Bunyan still stood indisputably as an aesthetically pleasing, space saving design that could have been made only by Eric Gill. Bunyan Pro comes in three weights and their italics. The main font is intended for use between 8 and 14 points. The medium and the bold are great for emphasis but also have good merit in larger sizes, so can make effective display types as well. All six fonts include small caps, ligatures, alternates, six sets of figures, and three original Gill manicules. We tried to keep the best features of the handset (Bunyan) and machine (Pilgrim) versions while building a text face that can function in today’s immersive reading media. Deciding on which useful letterpress features to preserve for aesthetic importance was hell on our eyeballs — which lead to complex and painstaking ways of ironing out irregularities and inconsistencies related to metal technologies, in order to provide something with authenticity. The result is a unique typeface based on a Gill design that, to a much greater extent than any of his other faces, works well as a text face that can be used for entire books and magazines. Bimbo is a monoline script font family created in 2018 by Francesco Canovaro for Zetafonts as an extension & redesign of the original Arsenale White typeface created with italian illustrator Jonathan Calugi. Religious symbols are endless much like that amazing variety of types of religion. This font contains nearly 500 glyphs. Neubaufra is a geometric modernist type family. Originally released in 2012 as Baufra, Neubaufra is a considerate restoration of the original work. Inspired by the early 20th century designs, Neubaufra gives special kudos to the Bauhaus influence. Complete with 8 weights + Italics, new design retained its prime modernist characteristics with the improvement to the legibility for text and web use. Extended language support includes Latin and Cyrillic.

In 1966 and 1967 a series of weird events spooked Point Pleasant, a small town in West Virginia. Townspeople described a creature that looked like a man, with red eyes and moth-like wings, which appeared at several locations around town. The Mothman myth was born. Mothman font is spooky as well. It is a very scratched and distorted typeface, completely hand drawn, using ink and various sharp utensils. Mothman font will surely leave a lasting impression!

Great Bromwich takes the ideas in Greater Albion's Bromwich family that little bit further. It can be used on its own, or as a compliment to Bromwich. Great Bromwich uses specially re-designed large and small capitals, to enable that bold headline statement to be made with impressive Edwardian flair. In the spirit of railway travel posters and illustrated news journals, its a wonderful font for poster design, or for book covers and other work with a period theme.

CTM Sans is a typeface of the grotesk category, it is designed based on a previous Herokid typeface, but with greater freedom to creative tastes and at the same time with more rebellion and errors (quite a few, but well-intentioned) than its predecessor. This makes Bellavista a somewhat messy clone, for the grotesk style. This font does not seek to be a correct typography, but rather fun and useful for the designer. I hope you like it

Flagstaff JNL takes the lettering from Roma Initial Caps JNL and gives them the movement of an unfurled banner. For added effect, there are flagpoles facing in either direction on the lesser and greater keys. Left and right flag ends are placed on the parenthesis keys; a wide blank flag panel is on the left brace key and a narrow blank flag panel is on the right brace key. Letters only; no punctuation or extended characters.

Sánchez, designed by Daniel Hernández, is a serif typeface belonging to the classification slab serif, or Egyptian, that bears a strong resemblance to the iconic Rockwell.
