Headline Modified, also called "Modified Gothic" by some type manufacturers, has a large stroke contrast and very small, pointed serifs. Curved characters feature a brushstroke appearance. Our version is based on a typeface designed by the Hamilton Manufacturing Company around 1897.

No. 510 is a friendly, slim gothic face. Strokes have a gentle inward curve at the median with the tops and bottoms of the letters slightly wider and thicker. The design was first introduced by William H. Page & Company around 1887.

Roman Condensed is a condensed, classic roman typeface. It has a medium contrast in stroke weight, slightly rounded serifs, and is easy to read. This version is based on a typeface from Showcard Machine Company, which was made specifically to be used with their proof presses.

Norwich Aldine Reverse is a font of "streamer type" (reversed out type used for banners or streamers) originally designed around 1872. Norwich Aldine is slightly lighter and more open than Aldine. It features medium stroke contrast, heavy serifs, and large rounded bracketing (where the stems meet the serifs). Our version is based on wood type of unknown origin. We created dozens of special ligatures to reduce problematic kerning encountered with a monospaced reversed type.

Based on wood type designed by William H. Page & Company in 1872, Aldine Extended is one of many variations within the Aldine family. The characters are extremely wide relative to their height, and have heavy, thick serifs. Aldine was extremely popular in broadside printing during the late 19th century and conveys America’s enthusiastic westward expansion.

French Clarendon was an extremely popular wood type font. Characters are heavy and condensed with bracketed serifs, which measure approximately 1/4 to 1/3 the height of the letter. Dozens of decorative wood type designs have been created based on French Clarendon. It was marketed as a wood letter by William H. Page & Company in 1865.

No. 507 is an elegant headline font with added angled flourishes. Its unique features are angled terminals, small, pointed serifs, and no contrast in stroke weight. It is similar to No. 506, designed by William H. Page & Company around 1890.

Circle Sans is one of the most unique wood type font designs we"™ve found. It was made in Europe and our cut measures just 3 picas. Letters are a basic, rounded gothic with a medium amount of stroke contrast. This font is easy to read and packs a special punch dropped out from the negative space of a circle.

Egyptian Ornamented is a decorative font based on the shapes found in a French Clarendon. Serifs are chunky and bifurcated, and “spurs” have been added to the strokes. This font emits the feeling of Old West wanted posters, rodeo broadsides, etc. It was first introduced by William H. Page & Company in 1870.

French Antique was first shown in the specimen books of William H. Page & Company in 1869. The font is extremely tall and thin, with serifs taller than many character's widths. Lines are straight and clean with no fuss. French Antique can fit a lot of headline into a small space.

Film P3 - Ultra Condensed sans-serif typeface. It refers to characteristic typefaces such as Film Poster or Film P2 (which were inspired by futuristic movie posters). Film P3 is deliberately more versatile and designed to be used successfully in a huge variety of projects. In addition, the letters retain their unique and distinctive style, which allows them to stand out from the crowd. The Film P3 family has 9 members that are complementary and allow the expression of the projects to be very varied and adapted for appropriate use. They look good in many sizes, single words, slogans, titles, sentences as well as longer texts. Fonts include multilingual support, numerals, and a large range of special characters. Tuscan X Condensed (whose actual name is Gothic Concave Tuscan Extra Condensed) was first produced in wood type by William H. Page & Company around 1872. The design is derived from a Gothic Condensed typeface, but with vertical stokes bowing inwards at the center. We modified the weight of the uppercase characters (since the original wood type has a lowercase much thinner than the caps) to harmonize with the lowercase when used digitally.

I used to live in the English Lake District, where I worked in an outdoor gear store. I bought a bright red mountain bike and each day, after work, I cycled up the mountain and hurtled down - heavy metal blasting from my MP3 player. Of course, the bike was a regular MTB, so it got some serious damage after a while, but the adrenaline rush was great! Downhill Dive is a great brush font (made with actual brushes and ink on paper - no tablets involved here!). It is an ode to that wonderful time spent in England. Downhill Dive comes with some really nice ligatures.
