It existed from 1293 to circa 1527 and reached its peak of glory during the era of Hayam Wuruk, whose reign from 1350 to 1389 was marked by conquests that extended throughout Southeast Asia. I was inspired to make fonts with our history, by creating font names from our history

Zahar type family is based on the lettering developed by the famous Ukrainian graphic artist Georgi Yakutovich and designed for Ivan Franko's book Zakhar Berkut. It is good for the design of children's books, folk tales, songs, etc. Zahar is easy to read in short texts. It supports Extended Latin and Cyrillic (including Old Church Slavonic). A special OT-feature is added to support the Old Church Slavonic alphabetic numeral system.

A universal text type was designed by Natalia Vasilyeva for ParaType in 2007. The type family is consist of 8 styles. Linotype Bengali, a revival This project by Neelakash Kshetriymayum and Fiona Ross commissioned by Monotype is at heart a revival of the now ubiquitous original Linotype Bengali typeface designed by Tim Holloway and Fiona Ross (1978-1982) based on Ross’s research for her doctoral studies in Indian Palaeography. The new Linotype Bengali is informed by more recent research by Ross and Kshetrimayum resulting in additional glyphs that serve contemporary needs in a variety of genres – the original had been specifically designed for newspaper composition and in now outdated digital formats. The new design makes use of OpenType features with the employment of contextual vowel signs for Bengali – a feature that Ross and Holloway had first introduced in Indian scripts for the Adobe Devanagari typeface – and has sophisticated contextual mark positioning. Furthermore, whereas the original design had existed in only two typestyles, extensive work has been undertaken to produce this new design in 5 weights: Light, Regular, Medium, Bold and Black. It has been an important aspect of this project to remain true to the original design concepts, and so to achieve optimal readability for sustained reading at small type-sizes, but the additional weights enable differentiation in document design, and afford users scope to produce textural variety in their outputs. This revival design is intended to widen the hitherto very limited palette of typographic choices in the field of textual communication in Bengali, Assamese and other languages that make use of the Bengali script.

I’d been thinking for a while about making a serif font with ball terminals: big fun round ends to the letters anywhere I can squeeze them in. So I made Breakfast Pastry! I started with a hand-drawn set of basic letters, then went hog-wild making alternates and ligatures galore with fun swirls, curls, and even more balls! I’ve cleaned the letters up significantly to make them smooth and easy for any cutting or printing you may want to do, but I’ve also left in some of the hand-drawn character so that the letters are warmer and not too formal. Then I took the first font, and made a second solid version without the cutouts. After that I thought: I tend to make plumper fonts ... why not make an even thinner version? So I did! All three versions have the same character set (over 700 glyphs total), which means they all have the same extras and alternates. All three fonts have over 300 extended Latin characters for language support, as well as over 200 bonus items: alternate letters, letters with swashes, two-letter ligatures, small caps, catchwords, and even some bonus ornaments and elements to make the fonts even more flexible. (After all, if one swash on a letter is good, two or three might be great!)

Another variation on the Renaissance-Baroque Roman face, it extends the selection of text type faces. In comparison with Jannon, the contrast within the letters has been enhanced. The dynamic elements of the Renaissance Roman face have been strengthened in a way which is illustrated best in the letters "a", "b" and "s". These letters contain, in condensed form, the principle of this type face - in round shapes the dark stroke invariably has a round finial at one end and a sharp one at the other. Another typical feature is the lower-case "g"; the upper part of this letter consists of two geometrically exact circles, the inner of which, a negative one, is immersed down on the right, upright to the direction of the lower loop and the upright knob. The vertical strokes slightly splay out upwards. Some details of the upper-case letters may seem to be too daring, but they are less apparent in the text sizes. It has to be admitted that typographers tend to draw letters in exaggerated sizes, as a result of which they stick to details. Serapion Italic are italics inspired partly by the Renaissance Cancelleresca. This is obvious from the drop-shaped finials of its lower-case descenders. The type face is suitable for illustrated books, art posters and short texts. It has a rather ugly name - after St. Serapion.

Framer Sans is sans-serif condensed type-family, created by June 23 Foundry. It is a geometric, lightly robust, simple and clean font, with a low contrast width. Framer Sans perfectly conforms to the ever-increasing demand for a diverse set of weights and additional support for non-Latin languages. The type system consists of 7 weights that for the clarity and users convenience is labelled with numbers from 100 to 700 (100 for “Thin”, 200 - “Ultra-Light”, and so on till 700 for “Bold”). It supports full Latin (European) character set, as well as Turkish, Vietnamese, Greek (basic) and Cyrillic languages. Framer Sans includes alternate characters, ligatures, symbols and 253 country codes that perfectly expand the design’s capabilities. Numerals contain six figure sets and Roman numbers. A Historical Revival for Modern Typesetting Flair Pennyroyal began as a Barnhart Brothers & Spindler typeface called Plymouth Bold, first cut in 1900. What began as a straightforward rustic typestyle has been revived to include a more extensive character set. But this font wasn’t just revived, it has come alive with character and personality. Taking things further, Pennyroyal Pro adds in Unicase (stylistic alternates), Swashes (swash alternates), and a collection of grunge alternates from the original source and additional alternates included (PUA encoded). You’ll find that Pennyroyal Pro contains 1476 characters. Lightbox 21 is a radical update of my previous version of a geometric sans serif. The design of the original Lightbox was fundamentally based on the idea of incorporating the proportions of the ‘Golden Ratio’ into each letterform; Lightbox 21 greatly improves on this concept by entirely abandoning it. The result is a much more readable, ‘natural’ typeface that retains elements of the original without being bound to it. Overall, Lightbox 21 has been designed to convey that classic feel of a geometric sans that makes the genre so tremendously enduring and versatile, as well as providing an effortless sense of class to whatever they are applied. Primarily intended for editorial work (i.e. short to medium length texts) or display settings, Lightbox 21 has a reasonably extensive character set, including support for Vietnamese, many currency symbols, arrows, and small caps. It also has OpenType support for nut fractions (via a stylistic set) and a barred alternate uppercase i and an alternate curled j.

The typeface was completed shortly afterwards at the behest of an old friend for their identity. As usual, I expanded it, but considered retiring it since there were so many things similar out there. Years later, I had a chance to rediscover it and came to the conclusion that it could be improved, expanded in a logical and useful way, and introduced. I would be lying if I didn't admit that the rise of webfonts and embedded type in applications influenced many of the decisions I made about reworking Clear Sans™. Completely new Text and Screen fonts were developed that utitlize larger x-heights, space-saving widths, logical (and simplified) weight offerings… to name a few alterations. A Rough Face Updated in 2022 to include an expanded range of typefaces

Geometric/Technical style logotypes have been developed for car chrome labels since the early 1980’s, but automobile companies don't monopolize the style by any means. During the 80’s and 90’s, a lot of these logos leaned towards the geometric sans styles and the swiss styling of fonts like Handel Gothic, while playing with varying degrees of squared rounds and varying expanded widths per logotype. Mercurial has this flavor, but it wasn’t derived from logotypes. Instead, it began as a digitization of a film typeface from LetterGraphics in the early 70's known as "Sam". It visual ties to this genre of automotive logotypes and fonts like Handel Gothic lend a familiarity to it, yet it has an identity all its own. As with so many automotive logotypes, this singular style film typeface, lacked an expansive family which shows off all potential the logotypes have and what they "could" be and do.
