Raclette grills are an ingenious Swiss invention. This tabletop grill is used to cook raclette cheese, a unique sort of cheese produced by the happy cows of Valais. Swiss designer Michael Parson created a typeface in 2002 that speaks endearingly to his hearty homeland tradition - endearingly enough, he named it Raclette. Raclette most likely started out as a bold, condensed sans serif. But then, just as one pulls little trays off of a raclette grill, Parsons quickly removed many rectilinear bits from the edges of each letter. Text set in Raclette looks like an old brick wall, or perhaps like a raclette party for several hundred people, that ended an hour ago! Raclette is one of ten of Michael Parson's experiments in type design featured in the Take Type 5 collection from Linotype GmbH."

Ned Std. is part of a series of typographic experiments from the young Swiss designer Michael Parson. Using a wide, horizontal hexagonal grid, Parson created the system of letters that make up this font. Text set in Ned Regular takes on a modular, honeycomb-like appearance. For an interesting effect, try overlapping individual letters, or use a few letters together as elements in a logo. A great companion face to Ned Std. is Linotype's Hexatype Bold. Graphique was originally created by Swiss designer Hermann Edenbenz in 1945, and issued as hot metal font by Haas'sche Schriftgie�erei, Switzerland.German type designer Ralph M. Unger digitally remastered and expanded the typeface for profonts, and the digital OTF Pro version comprises of more than 400 characters including the complete Latin and Cyrillic glyph sets.

BR Sonoma is a new geometric grotesque built for the 21st century with a finely tuned modern aesthetic. BR Sonoma builds on the foundations laid by the classic Swiss grotesques such as Helvetica and Univers but combines their features with a stronger geometric base usually found in other early classics such as Avant Garde, Futura and Avenir.

Unisketch is an homage to my favorite font Univers when I was at design college. Univers is a neo grotesk font by famous Swiss typeface designer Adrian Frutiger. Unisketch, with its worn, misaligned and slightly tilted characters, still retains some of the qualities that workhorse body copy requires: It is legible at small sizes and produces a compact ‘Schriftbild’.

Closer is a highly customizable Swiss Grotesque with overclosed aperture. Being a bit wider than the average grotesque and featuring some humanistic shapes, Closer feels less bland though still relatively neutral. Closer comes in 9 weights (18 styles altogether), features extensive language support including Cyrillic and is highly customizable with 7 stylistic sets to mix and match.

ITC Syndor is the work of Swiss designer Hans Eduard Meier, a font which is almost, but not quite, a sans serif. The beginnings and endings of strokes display a hint of the calligrapher's hand and these tiny serifs optimize legibility. This legibility and the typeface's simple forms make ITC Syndor an excellent choice for business and presentation graphics.

The result of a study into the Paris Metro system; Metro Sans is a Grotesk typeface with personality. It bridges the gap between the stern terminals of a Swiss Neo-Grotesk, and the smooth curves of a modern day Geo-Grotesk. The two combine to give a versatile typeface that works well in both body and display weights.

Neue Alte Grotesk is a minimalistic typeface with a distinct character. It is created to connect both new and old. It will look good in juxtaposition with retro-styled illustrations and ultra-modern graphics.

Although initially designed as a rational/geometric font, Triplex developed into one of Zuzana Licko's most intuitive typeface designs at the time. Its first extensive use was in Emigre magazine #14, a special issue devoted to Swiss designers published in 1990. Triplex was intended as a friendly substitute for Helvetica. The name Triplex refers to the three versions that make up the entire family; Triplex, Triplex Serif and Triplex Italic. Each version of the typeface comes in light, bold and extra bold. Bocksay Mira is a text font family inspired by the manuscript Mira Caligraphiae Monumenta created between 1561 and 1596 by Georg Bocskay and Joris Hoefnagel for the Holy Roman Emperor. All shapes were taken from the original records in both regular and italic style: lower case (p. 5, 72), uppercase (p. 47, 121), small caps (p. 122, 7). Duplay is a sans-serif designed and developed by darman kadir in this late 2023, influenced by famous Swiss-style typefaces like Helvetica and others. The inspiration for this typeface was discovered on a 1906 travel poster, promoting the Hotel Braunwald, located in the Swiss Alps.
