With its slightly rough edges, Thumbnail Text works well where lettering is required. Letterforms wiggle a bit here and there but are generally quite uniform. Characters are a bit imprecise - but not showy or bouncy. They appear more adult-looking than childish and are very legible. Put Thumbnail Text to work as drafting notation or on blueprint projects that need to be easily read. It¹s also useful when concept or sketch stage lettering needs to look serious but not highly stylized. You might experiment with it inside cartoon thought balloons or in callouts. This design is based on an old showcard style from the 1940s. It's been dusted off and reissued for modern use. A lowercase has been added for greater functionality. Btoxina is a free interpretation of the theme pixel font. With its technological feeling, it reflects the spirit of our age. By designing the font Filippo Salmina, the author, has been inspired by the signage used in starships. Btoxina is grid-based but it differs from classical screen fonts by the use of diagonal lines. It is characterized by the renouncement of the use of capital letters in favor of using negative letters and by the automatic generation of ligatures. The typeface is available in two different styles: Atoxina (regular) and Btoxina (italic). Btoxina is especially suited for headlines in cool or experimental typography; be careful though, this font is toxic, we deny any responsibility for its use!

Straits is an oddball fun ALL-CAPS font, a modern take / re-imagining of some old Art Deco signage and a sister to my other font Penang. The font is available in 2 weights for now, a light and a medium. In general I think ALL-CAPS steal 26 characters from you, so each letter in each case is a little different, however subtly. This being an ALL-CAPS font I imagine it will work best in Headlines and other bold statements, but buy it and find out. The font is loaded with plenty of extras and glyphs. This was designed to be fun, so I hope you can have some with it.

Bold, rounded and super cool. Those are the attributes of my latest font “Vinyle”, french for vinyl. In this epoque where all fields of Design are giving a lot of importance and attention to Typography and Lettering, I felt it was my duty to contribute with something that could really stand alone and ‘say something else’ that just words to be read. I've found that lately in the world, regarding a finished piece of design, the role of Typography (and of letters in general) went from being secondary, (like a minor player or a supporting actor) to the most important one. People are starting to understand the beauty of a well-done letter: they want their storefronts with unique scripts, they want to drink coffee surrounded by lettered blackboards, they want to buy books with astonishing covers with swashes ‘por doquier’. I'm more than happy to be alive in a present where even the most unimaginable friends of mine, (who couldn't spot differences between comic sans and helvetica before) are now conscious of the importance of a letter, or let’s say: Of the ‘voice’ of Typography. With Vinyle I tried to make a font with power. Following the nowadays trend of, let me say, “the vintage sans renaissance”. This time I put my brushes and nibs aside and experimented with something new. It wasn't easy, if you will pardon, for me to see swashes all over the place withouth the classic calligraphic ‘thick and thins’, but with after some weeks of work I started to love them. Like I already showed you in other creations (1) let me finish with the phrase: GEOMETRY IS SEXY! TIPS Vinyle has a lot of attitude, it shouts “here I am!” it really can ‘design an entire piece’ for you with just a word or two: It was designed with a 10 degree slant on purpose so the user may rotate it (like on the posters) that amount of degrees in order to see better results. Grandis ("chainlink") was initially intended for a first person shooter’s UI, so this guided the design. The font had to be readable while maintaining sci-fi feel and also to not rely on kerning (most video games don’t support it). This meant a large x-height, steep diagonals and squared bowls to reduce the amount of white space between letters. Tabular numbers as default facilitate UI design where timers or tables are involved. What makes the font stand out from similar grotesks is the letters’ classical proportions with wide bowls and narrow rectangles. The result is a readable, versatile workhorse with an interesting dynamic rhythm and where extreme weights/widths can also be used for display purposes. ITC Peter's Miro is the work of New York designer John Peter. It was inspired by the letters used by Joan Miro in his paintings. No one used letterforms more frequently in his work than Joan Miro," says Peter. For his typeface, however, "considerable liberty has been taken with his [Miro's] original letters and missing characters have been added."
