This elegant titling face is based on an American Type Founders release from the 1920s named Sterling. P22 Sparow is based on handwritten lettering executed with a fine-pointed steel "crow-quill" pen. Designed for use in small sizes of continuous text setting such as poetry. This style was originally designed for a series of hand-crafted calligraphic booklets in 1963.

Bestan is inspired by the typography of the ship's steel containers and industrial-based business branding. Added a slight touch of futuristic vibes to make Bestan appears as a fresh game-changer, either for corporation purpose and also modern urban vibes to your visual graphic design stuff.

Atonement is a splattery, scratchy font. I made it with a steel nibbed pen, a brush and some Chinese ink. I based it on my fonts Ravenheart, Qilin and American Grunge - mostly because I really like them. Of course, all of these fonts are influenced by the work of the great Ralph Steadman - someone I greatly admire. Atonement comes with ligatures for double letter combinations and a stash of diacritics.

Straits is an oddball fun ALL-CAPS font, a modern take / re-imagining of some old Art Deco signage and a sister to my other font Penang. The font is available in 2 weights for now, a light and a medium. In general I think ALL-CAPS steal 26 characters from you, so each letter in each case is a little different, however subtly. This being an ALL-CAPS font I imagine it will work best in Headlines and other bold statements, but buy it and find out. The font is loaded with plenty of extras and glyphs. This was designed to be fun, so I hope you can have some with it.

A Qilin is a mythical hooved creature, looking a bit like a cow with a lion's head, reptilian scales and deer antlers. The Qilin features in Chinese lore, where it is often associated with good luck and prosperity. Qilin font is a rather messy typeface, created with a steel pen and Chinese ink. It might not be a classy font, but it will bring the buyer good luck! ;-)

Café Brasil is a font designed to represent coffee, especially for use in packaging, brand titles, logos and menus. Based on the shape of a coffee bean, Café Brasil has delicate details and ligatures that represent the liquid, foam and steam of a good cup of coffee. In March 2014, Café Brasil was chosen to be part of the main exhibition at the “Tipos Latinos 2014”.

JY&A’s most distinctive calligraphic font, Yan Series 333 is usable at all resolutions and remains legible. Even though it has a strong calligraphic influence, the Yan Series is ideal for text settings that have to appear special. Designed by Jack Yan, the family was developed between 1987 and 1993. Yan studied the effect of a nylon-tip, rather than steel-nib, pen on paper.

This typeface was created during the process of logo making. Simple and stylish design which can be used in pretty much any projects, especially in action themed projects. The sharp terminals in this typeface resemble the tip of "Katana", a Japanese weapon. Hagane means "steel" in Japanese, which is used to make Katana.

One of the type samples showcased in the 1907 Barnhart Brothers & Spindler specimen book was named “Sterling”; a spurred serif Art Nouveau design. This is now available digitally as Millinery JNL in both regular and oblique versions. An old fashioned term for a once plentiful business, ‘millinery’ is a women’s hat shop.

Handlettering on a 1934 WPA poster promoting skating in Central Park provided the pattern for the uppercase letters of this typeface, while the lowercase letters take their inspiration from Paul Renner’s Steile Futura. The result is a warm, friendly face that is both quaint and modern. Available in Roman and Italic versions. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

Duquesne Dark Woodcut is a new typeface in the spirit of 19th century American wood cut typefaces. There is an almost rustic simplicity to its heavily serifed letter forms, ideal for capturing the spirit of the mid-west, or early Victorian Britain. I have been making some clean, connected fonts lately and when I was working on another one of these, I felt the need for something chaotic. So, Scapegoat was born. I used a round nibbed steel pen and Chinese ink and the result is quite a messy font. It may look chaotic, but as Nietzsche once said: ‘from chaos comes order’. Amen to that! Comes with double letter ligatures for the lower case and a whole lot of diacritics.

Empire State Gothic is, from basement to spire, an exultant, soaring skyscraper of a font, distinguished by its high arches, steel-framed construction and the glory and pride of Comicraft's fine woodwork and stonework! You might find it surprising, then, that this tall, lanky font was something of a loner during its teenage years, mingling with others of its kind in the shadowy corners of coffeehouses, nurturing feelings of belittlement while craving attention it may not have rightly deserved.

A vintage lettering stencil manufactured by the E-Z Letter Stencil Company of Baltimore, Maryland was the model for Schoolyard Stencil JNL, available in both regular and oblique versions. Re-drawn digitally and following the actual bend of the steel rule dies used to cut the stencils, this typeface has not been cleaned up from its original design. Upon close examination, you will find straight angles and slight curves in the most unusual places. This was representative of the difficult work involved in bending steel cutting rule material and fitting it into small areas. For many years, E-Z Letter was the main competitor to the Stenso Lettering Company; the originator of the oil board stencil lettering guide complete with automatic spacing holes. Anyone over 40 will well-remember lettering their science fair posters, report covers and ring binders with these stencils.

While searching online for vintage type inspirations, an image was spotted of an old letterhead for a steel manufacturing company. The hand lettering of the word 'Ludlum' only offered D,L,M and E as visual examples, but from this Jeff Levine has designed Eckhardt Dualine JNL - a Deco-flavored dual-line type font. As with a number of other releases that emulate hand-lettering or sign painting, Jeff has named this font in honor of his good friend, the late Albert Eckhardt, Jr.; who ran Allied Signs in Miami from 1959 until his passing.

An image spotted in an online auction online of a 1940 Milton Bradley child's activity set consisting of wooden letters formed the basis for School Activities JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. Monolith Pro is a futuristic heavy display that steals the show. This typeface is inspired by the popular Kubrick’s movie 2001: a space odyssey, from which the iconic monolith scene. The glyphs, in fact, have been designed to fill the rectangular shape, with the addition of minimal inlays to differentiate them consistently. Heinz is inspired by the poster design of Heinz Schulz-Neudamm for Fritz Lang’s famous silent movie Metropolis. Heinz Schulz-Neudamm did quite a lot of work for the German branches of big American movie companies like 20th Century Fox or MGM. His most famous work is probably the title lettering for the Metropolis movie. The original drawing for that poster sold in 2005 in London for 398.000 Pound Sterling (approx. US $ 600.000). This project, «Dodo» was started in 2008 year as the first then modern revival for the Old Imperial Russian book scotch antiqua, used 120–170 years ago in almost every printed book. Still keeping the spirit of the Steam æra.

P—49 is a geometric, unicase sans-serif typeface inspired by the angular patterns found in modern suspension bridges. Each letter is constructed on a grid made up of 90° and 45° angles, drawn from the steel trusses supporting the imposing vertical towers of suspension bridges. Every letter, number and punctuation mark strictly follows the grid creating a uniform, contemporary industrial feel to the typeface making it ideal for display use in large point sizes.
