BlancoNeg was inspired by the lettering of Saul Bass with some thoughts of Op-Art. Each character relies on the positive and negative spaces of its neighboring letters to help define its own shape. This font is casual with the look of cut out paper forms.

Rough Notes is a cute handwritten font with 550+ characters, including a set of small caps and tons of ligatures, for a smoother and more authentic handwritten feel. Use it in any design that needs a handwritten feel, such as signatures, notes and quotes, logos and branding.

The origin of this font was a frieze in the RAF Chapel in Westminster Abbey which Michael Harvey was commissioned to design and create. It was comprised of the names of the top brass in wartime Bomber Command, namely Dowding, Harris, Newall, Tedder, Portal and Douglas. The Brief was to cut the letters in bronze and gild them. Instead, they were cut in perspex and gilded. To sit comfortably within the long and narrow vertical space available beneath the chapel’s stained glass window, extended letterforms were used with many vertical serifs omitted and with lengthened horizontal serifs. Some twenty years later, the missing upper-case letters were drawn together with the lowercase letters and Frieze, the font, was born. Subsequently, additional weights and styles were added to create a font family of six styles.

Ioana is an inoffensive, slightly quirky, slightly fattened sans serif font. It has a full character set as well as ligatures, small caps, superiors, inferiors, numerators, denominators and auto-fractions. Ioana came about as a direct result of 3 previous, private commissions that were all based on an artists hand-writing. For Ioana, I wanted a more regimented (but not boring) sans serif that could be used for headlines, posters and flyers with larger body text. Ioana Lighter is an inoffensive, slightly quirky, slightly lighter sans serif font. It is the lighter weight of Ioana and has a full character set as well as ligatures, small caps, superiors, inferiors, numerators, denominators, old style figures and auto-fractions. These OpenType fonts have support for CE languages and I hope you like it.

Occidental Tourist JNL is based on a set of die-cut cardboard letters used by teachers. They were primarily found on classroom bulletin boards or felt boards. The font's name is a pun on the movie The Accidental Tourist.

The name says it all—another offering from the William H. Page Woodtype Company, spruced up (ouch!) and ready to dress up your next project. Both flavors of this font feature the 1252 Latin, 1250 Central European, 1254 Turkish and 1257 Baltic character sets.

The font HEXA is inspired by the Hexagon. The HEXA fonts are dynamically and uniquely designed typefaces based on the grid systems of the hexagon that extends infinitely. From this image, we have created the HEXA font. Hexa is Latin-based and a completely crafted font that consists of 3 typefaces. Each typeface contains 190 sets of characters. This font family is in all-caps fonts, and we provide different styles of uppercase and lowercase glyphs with the exception of letters c, ç, and comma/ single low-9 quotation mark. In lowercase glyphs, we emphasize the image, character, and identities of Hexa. The font family includes regular, black, and thin. We created the witty expression with Hexa’s regular identity; thin emphasizes the lines; black fills in the blanks. Hexa is a monospaced fonts. So kerning is not applied. Jean Evans' interest in type design dates back to her third-grade fascination with fancy script writing. Years later, work at a sign-painting school she found in the Yellow Pages® cemented her relationship with letterforms. Evans went on to study with master calligraphers and type designers, including the likes of Donald Jackson, Hermann Zapf and Matthew Carter. Evans' designs have been exhibited and collected around the globe, and her distinctive calligraphic style has been lauded by leading trade organizations, annuals and publications. Hatmaker, one of Evans' more popular typefaces, was originally developed for the Boston-based broadcast design firm of the same name. Inspiration for the design came from Ben Shahn's famous hand-constructed alphabet. Shahn's alphabet, however, was limited to capital letters. Daunted by the idea of designing a lowercase that would measure up to Shahn's capitals, I developed a second set of caps-simple, quirky, yet almost classic-to work as 'lowercase' with the Shahn-like caps," explains Evans. Mixing the two in Hatmaker, creates a lively interplay of light and dark."

The skeleton of the family is a Garalde (like my earlier Epic) but with a desire to produce something much more transitional and contemporary, I sought to simplify, simplify, simplify. Cap and ascenders share the same height, the x-height is slightly larger than expected which should make a functional typeface for editorial, headlines or where more visually complex systems are needed. The modulation is much more intentional than historical and creates some interesting interactions between the various weights. There are both Normal and Condensed widths available with 6 different weights and matching italics, small caps, oldstyle figures, swashes, stylistic and discretionary ligatures (that includes some fun majuscule ligatures in the roman styles), there is no lack of typographic goodness for the designer. To add some spice, a set of Decorative Ornaments have been created that include geometric, floral, curvilinear patterns and much more.

Handmade Dropshadow JNL was modeled from lettering found on a vintage silk screened metal sign used for point-of-sale marketing. Before the advent of computers and modern techniques, silk screens were hand cut using material called frisket and knife tools, and the lettering reflected the human inconsistencies of cutting these lettering into the template surface for transfer.

Based on the all caps decorative face Fournier le Jeune of 1768 by Pierre Simon Fournier for the Peignot Foundry. This version uses more elaborate "Vouge Initials" caps which were offered by ATF in 1920s. Because of the decorative nature of this design, a full character set is not included, but accented characters and basic punctuation are included.

The idea was to create a fully equipped handwriting script. Thus equipped with all kinds of typographic features like for example true small caps, lots of special characters, different sets of figures, real underlining, all characters as sub- and subscripts, the cap variations, OpenType-features for controlled character string modulations ... In a nutshell: a fully equipped handwriting script.

Dragons, pirates, magic, and all that is gothic was the inspiration for this design. Blackstone was one of ten winners in The 1988 Chartpak Typeface Design Competition and is now available in two styles with additional characters, alternates and dingbats. Several alternate caps can be found using alt keystrokes, so try using different combinations of all caps.

I accidentally fell in love with type design, and more specifically, the inscription on the historic Bemis building in Seattle. A high waist and great contrast are characteristics of this classic caps lettering that inspired my debut typeface, with additions of 3/4 caps and ornaments to boot.
