Bodoni Campanile Pro is a font that bridges the gap between a “fat” and a compressed traditional serif typeface. It was originally designed in 1936 by Robert H. Middleton for Ludlow. International TypeFounders exclusively licensed the family from the Ludlow Collection, and Steve Jackaman (ITF) produced a digital version in 1998. Jackaman completely redrew the font for its 2017 release. Bodoni Campanile Pro, much like its transitional status as a font, is successful in both formal and casual roles. The free-flowing aspects of the family, seen especially in the lowercase ‘g’ and the leg of the uppercase ‘R,’ give the family an air of elegance.

Linotype Schachtelhalm is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from the entries of the Linotype-sponsored International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. The inspiration of German designer Ilka Kwiatkowski is not hard to figure out and the font carries the German name of the plant which was its model. The alphabet consists exclusively of capital letters with clear geometric basic forms. The font is meant for headlines in point sizes of 18 and larger. Public Safety JNL was inspired by a 1940s-era health poster issued through the WPA (Works Progress Administration). The font’s bold, blockish sans lettering commands attention and has been made available in both regular and oblique versions.

Michaelangelo. da Vinci. Bellini. Rafael. Masters of Italian art whose names have dwarfed those of many other great Italian artists. Yet relics from these other artists remain, though often unnoticed because of their practical nature. These unknowns are the Italian Masters of vernacular sign painting, and insigne now gives a nod to their work with its new sans serif, Gineso. Based on its inspiration, Gineso was created for posters, headlines and logotypes. (It does well in apps, too, though the sign painters probably weren’t thinking about that at the time.) Aesthetically remedied, yet still with an uncut charm, Gineso’s condensed qualities make it especially nice for signs and titling where horizontal space is at a premium. The tight, narrow forms of its geometric design leave you with a robust flavor that will remind you of mamma’s spaghetti. Actually there is nothing furious about this font. There are no sharp edges and absolutely nothing harmful at all. The name plays tricks on you, because it's a cool laid back font with ounces of possibilities. I'd say you can use the Fake Fury font for posters, flyers, comics, invitations, commercials, toys, candy, clothing, packaging ... ahhh, the list goes on and on! Each letter was carefully handdrawn and soften a bit with rounded edges. And each letter has a total of 6 different versions: upper- and lowercase, and then 4 alternate versions. And the magic happens AS you type, because the font is programmed to automatically cycle through all the different letter variations!

Superstar artist Mike Wieringo has worked with the most well-known characters in comic books, and just a few short years ago Comicraft teamed up with Mike and writer Todd DeZago in the pages of their creator-owned comic book fantasy adventure series, TELLOS!
