My family and I recently moved to a ‘fixer upper’ farm from the 1930’s. It came with a slightly run down barn, 4000 square metres of land and a LOT of redcurrant bushes. I can’t really say that I am overly fond of them. I find them a bit too tart. As a kid, I used to smother them in sugar, but I can’t do that any longer, since I am a responsible dad… ;-) Redcurrant is a slightly wonky, slightly crazy handmade font. It can be used for book covers or post cards, but feel free to use it for whatever. Comes with cute little swashes as well.

Autumn Melody is a modern calligraphy font that adds a classy and deluxe touch to your designs. The main pursuit of this font is to give you that authentic hand-calligraphy feel. English Grotesque is based on the proportions of an early 20th century signwriter’s sans, emphasising the characteristic idiosyncrasies of type of the period. Sharing a similar Roman circle-and-square construction as Gill Sans or Johnston Railway, it has a wide T and W, a narrow S, and a long-tailed R. The Roman alphabet did not include a lower-case, and therefore early sans-serifs tended to base theirs on handwritten or cursive models, resulting in more even character widths. English Grotesque, by contrast, carries the more characterful proportions of the capitals through to the lower case. Available in six weights, with optional alternative versions for the Q, &, £ and J.

The inspiration source for Almond Monogram is a highly unusual warped letterset from a vintage embroidery publication combining to create an almond form monogram. Originally intended to adorn handkerchiefs, it has many other possibilities. Numbers and letters can be combined to create one side of the monogram, while the other side is completed by ornament glyphs under the comma, period, braceleft, braceright, bracketleft and bracketright characters. This is one of many monogram designs from the early 1900’s which fall into a two letter format that is either adorned or interwoven with ornamentation. Csemege is a fully cursive even script inspired by Hungary's 60' 70's shop signages of mostly food and grocery stores and restaurants, and their neon light scripts. Csemege means Delicatessen in Hungarian. I have developed this set of characters with Contextual alternates and a few Stylistic alternates to make the letter connections smooth and perfect. It has a friendly look yet decorative and elegant script. For best result please make sure you are using this font with softwares that supports open type features and you have these features turned on: Contextual alternates, Stylistic alternates and Standard ligatures. Eurostile Candy is a fun spinoff from Akira Kobayashi's Eurostile Next family. As the name implies, it is based on Eurostile but with many striking new features. Most obviously, the corners and joints have been rounded off to give it a more friendly and softer feel. On top of those changes, the main skeleton of many characters have been modified. Any extra strokes have been removed - such as in the a, s, or t - and joints have been simplified to create even more square shapes - like in the n and r. With these contemporary and futuristic-styled alterations, Eurostile Candy is a cool new design great for many display projects.

This highly stylish, engraved blackletter font was cut by Rudolf Koch between 1919 and 1921 for Klingspor in Offenbach on Main. It was then sold under the name Deutsche Zierschrift. I completely redraw and extended this font and called it Zierfraktur. To take full advantage of this fine headline blackletter font, please use it from, at least, 18 points upward. This font contains a bunch of useful ligatures, and it is recommended to activate both Standard and Discretionary Ligatures. The round s can be reached by typing the # key, and you get the numero sign by typing the combination N-o-period and activating the OT feature Ordinals.

Morocco is a round, curvaceous font from Swiss designer Michael Parson. Many of the letterforms in Morocco are inspired by the Modern Greek alphabet. Five of the lowercase letters have additional ascenders/descenders that are not typical in the Roman alphabet (h, n, s, u, x). This experimentation continues into the uppercase as well; many capital letters in this font have been bequeathed with ascender or descender-like elements, and some capital letters, like the Q", only come up to the x-height of the lowercase letters. This experiment in type design is one of ten from Parson that has been included in the Take Type 5 collection from Linotype GmbH."

I started to work at the Bernhard Studio in 1952 to 1959 in New York. I helped with some type designs and many other projects, this two tiered signature was added on all of Bernhard’s art that was produced in the past and in his later years. In the 50’s I thought Bernhard’s Gothic face was quite a bit outdated but as you may know it has become one of todays most used faces. His signature is based on his Bernhard Gothic Font. With todays computer technology I have digitized the caps and added lower case glyphs with lower ascenders and other slight changes.

HGB Galaxo is a tribute to Othmar Motter (1927–2010), the Vorarlberg graphic artist and typeface designer, who designed very individual and perfectly crafted typefaces in the 1970's and later. (Motter Ombra, Motter Tectura ...)From a Motter sketch of 5 letters for a logogram, I derived a simplified letterform and developed all the necessary characters. Working on these glyphs and delving deeper into Motter's letterforms, the respect for the accuracy with which he drew his letters (in ink) grew more and more. The spiral resembles the shape of a galaxy, hence the name Galaxo. The font is suitable for retro, poster and logo design.

Arturo is a brand new font family drawn from the original inspiration of an old alphabet in one of Dan Solo 's Dover Clip Art books. It has moved far away from those raw roots, however. Every character has been redrawn. For example, I had a light version that I never could get working. Arturo is based on that light style and called Arturo Book. The name comes from a good friend of mine in El Paso. He was the guinea pig upon whom I foisted off the beginnings of this style so many years ago. I did several marketing pieces for him using the raw drawings. I figured that he deserved to have the family named after him, at the very least. This is a normal font family for me in that it has caps, lowercase, small caps with the appropriate figures for each case. This font has all the OpenType features in the set for 2009. There are several ligatures for your fun and enjoyment: bb gg ff fi fl ffi ffl ffy fj ft tt ty Wh Th and more. Like all of my fonts, there are: caps, lowercase, small caps, proportional lining figures, proportional oldstyle figures, & small cap figures, plus numerators, denominators, superiors, inferiors, and a complete set of ordinals 1st through infinity. The purpose of the original DIN 1451 standard was to lay down a style of lettering which is timeless and easily legible. Unfortunately, these early letters lacked elegance and were not properly designed for typographic applications. Ever since its first publication in the 1930’s, several type foundries adopted the original designs for digital photocomposition. By early 2000, it became apparent that the existing DIN-based fonts did not fulfil the ever-increasing demand for a diverse set of weights and additional support for non-Latin languages. Parachute® was set out to fill this gap by introducing the PF DIN series which has become ever since the most comprehensive and sophisticated set of DIN typefaces.
