We've always liked Art Gothic (you've seen it on the titles and credits for TV's Murder She Wrote) but felt it was far too animated for most uses. Here is our super-simplified version, a calmer font that will fit many display uses.

Vafthrudnir is an original font design which draws on the tradition of Germanic uncial and early gothic calligraphy. It is designed to be extra bold and somewhat rough-hewn, for use in title design, and features variant versions of many of the characters.

16th and 17th century formal handwriting forms the basis for Tinderbox, an antique script. GrottoGoth is a sans serif created to expand the availability of fonts used in creating Gothic, Halloween, and overall spooky designs. This is the first font designed by Grey Fortress Enterprises. Additional variations are planned and other original fonts are in the works.

Heft is a heavy slab serif that packs a powerful punch. Available in square-cornered and rounded versions, each with italics, plus two distressed variants — an inky version that evokes the urgency of cheap hot-metal printing, and a worn, distressed version that suggests vintage woodtype or photocopied text.

ALS Tongyin is a bit rough and square-built with a pronounced oriental touch (Chinese word "tongyin" means "bronze molding"). Tongyin declares its ties to Russian constructivism and has 4 font styles. It matches well the rustic accident type frequently used for ads and announcements in Russian newspapers.

The Tecn@ Narrow family was designed so that its characters are legible and easy to interpret in any writing and where space saving is necessary; among them, the descriptive memory of plans or instructions, for example. The cover of the 1934 sheet music for "Your Guess Is Just as Good as Mine" offers up another hand lettered Art Deco sans with a classic period look. The square-ish lettering with rounded corners of Second Guess JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The unusual hybrid of square letter forms mixed with Art Deco-influenced ones in the digital typeface Common Area JNL is brought to you by the hand lettering found on a vintage piece of sheet music for "William Tell". The typeface is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Blob, designed by Superfried, is available in two formats Round and Square. It is an experimental, sans-serif display typeface based on simple geometric shapes. Stripated is an informal funky font mainly for distinctive headlines and posters, or similar display work. There's still all the features you'd expect like Class Kerning and accented characters, ligatures for ffi, ffl and so on, and a few other extras. The four versions are set up as follows: Plain has all the letters and black stripes in the normal vertical alignment; Jumbled One has the lower case letters all jiggled about but the boxes still square and vertical; Jumbled Two has ALL letters, numbers, and virtually all punctuation jumbled up; and Wild has all that and the black boxes going slightly off square as well. There's 3 different Space characters and a few other character variations in Stylistic Alternates (fuller details in the zip).
