  14. Twitty Bird NF by Nick's Fonts, $10.00
Dan X. Solo's book of Showcard Alphabets featured the pattern for this devil-may-care face under the name "Conway". Not too pretty, not too proud, but a whole lotta fun. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).
  15. Dolce Caffe by Resistenza, $39.00
Dolce Caffe is a pretty hand-written font, designed in 2011, that is very legible and high in style and carefully constructed all-uppercase letters. It was totally inspired by hand-written chalkboards in Berlin, a city that I love. Take also a look at Merendina
  16. Love Bug by PizzaDude.dk, $20.00
Yet another one of those romantic looking fonts. The lowercase looks pretty ordinary, while the uppercase swings around with a mixture of tagging / grunge / comicscript and casual handwriting. It works out extremely well with letters and stuff!. For fun, try writing in uppercase only...looks swell!!

Aelia is a creative, decorative font inspired by the simple and overlapping twirls of Victorian ironwork. It is particularly suited for use with floral, organic, natural imagery. While it is undeniably pretty, it is also carefully constructed and robust with several features including kerning and oldstyle figures.
  19. Good Robot by Haiku Monkey, $10.00
If a guitar-playing, hipster robot created a font, it might look like this. Perhaps you're charged with designing a poster for a guitar-playing, hipster robot. We recommend using this font. And alerting the media. Because a guitar-playing, hipster robot is pretty big news.
  20. Chunder by Chank, $49.00
Created in Minneapolis in 1996, Chunder is inspired by the hand-painted cursive signage of urban boutiques where a shopkeeper can't afford to hire a very good sign painter. Kinda clunky, kinda flowery. Like beer spilled on a daffodil. "It's not pretty, but it's mine," says Chank.
  21. Moulin Rouge by Solotype, $19.95
This came from a shop near Munich, Germany, and was a very poor proof with no font name on it. Never did identify it. When we cleaned it up, we liked it pretty well. We think it is typical of some early twentieth century art nouveau fonts.

  23. Eckhardt Poster Text JNL by Jeff Levine, $29.00
Eckhardt Poster Text JNL continues Jeff Levine's series of sign painter-oriented fonts, named in honor of his good friend Albert Eckhardt, Jr. (who ran Allied signs in Miami, Florida from 1959 until his passing). Sign painters are the true heroes of lettering, for they make the alphabet and style fit the job. Printers and layout artists were constricted by metal and wood type; that is until photo lettering, then digital type opened up unexplored territories in design possibilities. There is a unique charm (and nowadays pretty much a lost art) to hand-lettering word copy in a way that draws the eye like an arrow to a target. Even a simple sanserif such as Eckhardt Poster Text JNL can have the effect of that hand lettering when applied to posters and pages with plenty of white space and matching type designs of the period.
  24. Colin by Tickbite Type, $18.99
Colin is a fresh, somewhat futuristic geometric sans serif type with a large x-height that, to me, communicates both seriousness and cheerfulness. It supports 70 languages incl. monotonic Greek and comes in 7 weights with a small number of alternate glyphs (ss01) for more flexibility. It features fractions, old style and tabular figures. Colin works great in titles, displays and short paragraphs. And where does it come from? To be honest, the reason for this font is a selfish one. I wanted a typeface where my initials (n and c) look identical, just rotated by 90 degrees. That didn’t completely work but, hey, it’s pretty close.
  25. Weisya by IbraCreative, $13.70
Weisya is a charming and pretty handwritten font that effortlessly captures a sense of delicate beauty. With its graceful and flowing letterforms, each character in Weisya exudes a whimsical and feminine elegance. Weisya adds a soft and inviting charm to wedding invitations, beauty products, and stylish stationery. Its versatility shines through as it effortlessly blends vintage charm with modern sensibilities, making Weisya an enchanting option for those looking to infuse their designs with a touch of lovely handwritten appeal.
  26. Biographer by Sudtipos, $79.00
Biographer is a mild upright script drawn by Angel Koziupa, with Alejandro Paul art directing and producing. Elegant but quite reminiscent of roman forms and proportions, Biographer keeps the calligraphy mostly toned down, but its ascenders and descenders occasionally flare out in final swashy confidence. As usual with Sudtipos fonts, alternates are plenty and the personal touch is never amiss. Biographer is great for women's lit and poetry book covers, as well as tame packaging of products where conveying comfort and peace of mind is of importance. An extensive range of languages are covered (Western and Eastern European, Baltic, Turkish, Maltese and Celtic).

  29. Approach by Emtype Foundry, $69.00
Approach is a modern approximation to the early grotesques. An utilitarian low contrast font, a bit mechanic but plenty of character. One of its characteristic elements is a kind of ‘elbow pipe’ shape that is present in many letters like the tail of the a, f, j, t, R, Q or 1 among others. Besides, the synthetic punctuation and quotes give it a more contemporary appearance. Approach tries to feel fresh against all odds, being familiar but different. For more details see the PDF.

Banjax is a humanist sans serif typeface, designed to be highly versatile and efficient in both print and digital environments. Distinguishing features include a large x-height, short descenders, distinctive asymmetrical contrast, angled terminals, squared dots and punctuation, and maybe a little flair here and there to enhance this typeface’s personality. Overall, Banjax makes for a pleasant reading experience with enough nuances to make it an ideal choice for branding purposes. Key features: 9 weights in Roman and Italic Small Caps, Petite Caps and 3 Alternates Latin Extended and Basic Greek glyphs 1100 glyphs per font.
  31. Zampichi by Okaycat, $24.50
Zampichi simulates an old school video game or halftone print. Nine futuristic styles are delivered in gritty pixelated format. Zampichi is extended, containing West European diacritics and ligatures, making it suitable for multilingual environments and publications.

  36. Bungler by Bogstav, $17.00
This font is a strange mixture of sweet strawberry cake and horrifying terror! :) Meaning that the font can be used for something pretty scary (such as a horror poster) or something quite innocent (like products for children) It resembles fat brushstrokes, but clearly it was drawn with a pen.
