A dotted script typeface Puntino is (maybe the first) dotted script typeface and not made up of grid-based dots. They are optical corrected and there is always the same distance between the dots, with the aim to create more harmonic letterforms. The dots also vary gradually in size to reflect the thickening and thinning of strokes, giving the letterforms a sophisticated overall look. Puntino comes up with 4 styles and is perfectly suited for logos, brands, congratulation cards … The language support includes Western, Central and Eastern European character sets, as well as Baltic and Turkish languages. Rasteroids Old is a typographic flashback to computing of the early 1980s, when 7-pin dot-matrix printers were the state of the art, and most home computer displays were TVs hooked up to RF modulators. Rasteroids Old not only captures the dot-matrix printer look, but recreates the rasterized appearance of text on those lower-resolution monitors. Rasteroids Old is a fixed width font lacking any descenders. Furthermore, the character set is limited to the subset of US-ASCII that would be available on a typical machine of 1980. As such, it is not intended for large areas of copy.

I've had a lot of lovely cakes through the years (My wife is a great cook!) But I've also tried some really...ehem...not so good cakes. Actually, the worst cake I ever had, was at work - if you didn't know, I work as a kindergarten teacher - and the cake was made by one of the kids! Anyway, this font was made as a sort of tribute to that cake - the font may not represent something that is smooth and lovely, but it was made with lots of personality and love - just like that cake from that kindergarten kid!

Every single character in Nipey is unique! Meaning that no characters is a copy of another. All accented characters therefore are hand-drawn and unique. For example, the letter "ñ" is not a copy of 'n' with a diacritical tilde - and this goes for all accented characters, as well as the ordinary ones! Besides that, Nipey has got autoligatures for doublelettered lower- and uppercase, as well as numbers. But that's not all! Nipey also has got a full set of alternate lower- and uppercase letters! The term “Surf Bum” was a slang phrase used to casually describe anyone who spent as much of their time as possible at the beach catching waves in the 1960s. The Revell Company was a well-established maker of plastic model kits such as military airplanes, monsters from Universal horror films and other such items when it hooked up with custom car designer Ed “Big Daddy” Roth to develop a model kit line capitalizing on the surfing fad that was sweeping the West Coast at the time. A number of crazy-looking hot rods, dune buggies and what-have-you were turned out, and one such kit (“Surfite”, with Figure) featured a futuristic one-person dune buggy. It was on the box for the model that the words “with Figure” appear in a casual, brush design type face. Those few letters were the inspiration for creating a new retro type face entitled Surf Bum JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The Adinkra alphabet is a way to write some of the languages spoken in Ghana and Ivory Coast, such as Akan, Dagbani, Ewe and Ga. It is a simplified version of the Adinkra symbols, and was introduced in 2015 by Charles M. Korankye, who has written a number of books about it. According to tradition, the Adinkra symbols were created by Nana Kwadwo Agyemang Adinkra, the King Gyaman people in the Ashanti region of Ghana from 1810 to 1820. Or they were created by Gyaman people, and the king liked them so much that he wore them on his clothes and named that after himself. The Adinkra symbols are used as decoration, logos, arts, sculpture, pottery and so on. The symbols represent sayings, proverbs or concepts, such as wisdom, authority, strength, unity, love adaptability, wealth, peace, war or agreement. Ravenstonedale is a village in Cumbria, England. There’s not much to see in this quaint village, but the landscape surrounding it is beautiful. This font was sort of based on a number of handwritten letters by English author D.H. Lawrence. It is not a true reflection of the man’s handwriting, though, as I had to design a lot of missing glyphs myself; it was merely an inspiration. Ravenstonedale comes in a slightly slanted ‘regular’ version and a more slanted ‘Italic’ version. In order to stay true to the handwritten nature of this script, I have added a lot of ligatures, plus all the diacritics you could hope for.

When you think of Zealand, you’ll probably think of NEW Zealand. But did you know that New Zealand was named after the Dutch province of Zeeland (meaning Sea-land)? And did you know that there are many sealands in the world? Denmark has Sjælland and there is even a micronation called Sealand off the coast of England. Zealand font is a handmade, all caps display font. I used a Japanese brush pen for the outlines and the fill. It has a nice textured look, making it ideal for book covers and product packaging.

My kids asked me what killed the dinosaurs. I told them it probably was a meteor strike off the coast of Yucatán in Mexico. So, when I made this font, that little talk about the meteor hitting earth came to mind and a font name was born! Meteor strike is a slightly slanted brush font. It was made with my Chinese ink and a cheap brush (like most of my brush fonts). Meteor Strike comes with an attitude and a cheeky grin. It will sure leave a lasting impact on your designs!

Sometimes you get an idea stuck in your head and the only way to get rid of that demon is to put something down on paper. A year later the doodles became a skeleton, and then the skeleton had a body, then the body had a name, then the name got a personality. What was left was a clean set of ten fonts that encompass a very simple skeleton with a lot of visual appeal. During the process, I saw ways to expand the typeface's display capabilities by producing inline styles as well as a down-and-dirty rough set.
