Beat Fool is my latest layered font. I love making layered fonts, because the possibilities are almost endless! Play around with transparency and your favourite colorschemes and patterns to create awesome effects! Beat Fool comes in two layers that plays well together. One layer is solid and can be used for shadow, fill, texture or other creative parts of your design. The second layer is the "Regular" one - the outline that made the basis for the font. I wanted the handmade and handwritten brushstrokes visible, to keep the flaws which makes the look more authentic. Every letter has 4 different versions, again to make things more natural and kind of random! Both layers can be used alone or as described, together - and since it has multilingual support, you can be creative in all kinds of languages! :)

Sylfaen was designed for Microsoft in 1998 by John Hudson and W. Ross Mills of Tiro Typeworks, and Geraldine Wade of Monotype Typography. Sylfaen is a Welsh word meaning foundation"; an apt name since the font stemmed from research into the typographic requirements of many different scripts and languages. This version of Sylfaen supports the WGL4.0 character set, for Pan-European language coverage. Village Green JNL is based upon a font called “Giraffe Extended” from the 1892 edition of the MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan type specimen book, and is available in both regular and oblique versions. Its Art Nouveau styling can also fit well with 1960s counter-culture revival projects. According to Wikipedia “A village green is a common open area within a village or other settlement. Historically, a village green was common grassland with a pond for watering cattle and other stock, often at the edge of a rural settlement, used for gathering cattle to bring them later on to a common land for grazing. Later, planned greens were built into the centres of villages.”

Cordel Interior family draws inspiration from covers of 'cordel literature’, - small booklets of popular story-poems that played an essential role on the folk-popular cultural life of Brazil. Printed in coarse paper, usually with an woodcut illustration and lettering in the front, these booklets were sold on the streets, in marketplaces and town squares, hung in a cord - therefore the name ‘cordel’.
