The part of the large project on revival and further development (by drawing many additional glyphs) of the 20th century’s typewriters’ fonts. This new sub-project started in July 2018 for the restoration of the most beautiful classical typefaces, used during the 20th century on the extremely rare now IBM Selectric Composer typewriters / desktop publishing systems. So people could type then using both the real book faces, and the famous classical ones.
  17. SL Borges by Sudtipos, $29.00
A man purposes himself the task of drawing the world. Among the years, he populates a space with images of provinces, reigns, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, instruments, heavenly bodies, horses and people. A while before he died, he discovers that patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face. J. L. Borges. SL Borges is a homage to the genial Jorge Luis Borges, illustrious Argentinean writer who lived between 1899 and 1986. Sharply depicted by Augusto Costhanzo, SL Borges synthesizes to icons the big themes that obsessed him: the infinite, labyrinths, libraries, identity. But it although traces lines over the more human side of the writer, who loved cats, fervent politics and the taste of Tango. SL Borges abridges a sum of original iconographic illustrations in True Type format, which masterly synthesizes the most important themes of the grand genius of the literature. SL Borges takes part of the "Icons of Icons" Gallery, developed by SinergiaLab for Sudtipos
  18. Bodoni Classic Cyrillic by Wiescher Design, $55.00
One day shortly after Christmas 2004, the art-director of Vogue Moscow called me. Would I maybe make a Cyrillic version of my Bodoni Classic Text typeface? Well, since I had been thinking about doing it since a long time, this was the perfect reason to finally do it. It was not an easy venture, since I do not have the faintest idea of Russian but, together with those nice people in Russia and a fellow helpful type designer in Kiev, I managed. I did an enormous amount of kerning, thanks to the help of the Moscow Vogue office. Here the fonts are now for all of you: five text cuts, plus one standard roman cut that has no Cyrillic letters but an extra set of medieval numbers. At Vogue they are happy with the fonts, even though I did not quite adhere to Bodoni's originals in this case. Nastarowje (or whatever you say in Russia), Gert Wiescher

  24. Lust Hedonist by Positype, $50.00
Check out the new Lust Pro & Lust Pro Didone to see how the series has grown and evolved. Confident, voluminous and versatile, Lust is an exercise in indulgence—an attempt to create something over the top and vastly useful. Lust Hedonist pushes contrast almost to the limit. The letterforms, especially the Script style are very self-indulgent for me, dare I say Hedonistic, and how I like to see letter masses taken to extreme contrast. The series unapologetically channels Herb Lubalin, but produced with a deliberate, contemporary twist. There is an intentional slyness infused in the letterforms—the extreme thick and thin lines flow effortlessly without becoming gratuitous. It’s always just enough, not too much. What makes the type series so appealing? The curves. When asked to describe the letterforms, most people unwittingly allude to the human form, using adjectives usually reserved for describing physical traits… creating all-too-familiar comparisons. Summerour has grown to accept this as unavoidable and reasonable given his acknowledgement of its influences and has provided nuances within the letterforms to accentuate that.

  36. Things by PizzaDude.dk, $20.00
OMG! I never thought I'd finish this font! Actually, the idea came to me in the late 1990-ies, but the sketches lied at the bottom of the "fonts I will complete one day In the future" pile ... also called "fonts I most likely won't complete...EVER" pile! :) Anyway, I started up with letters for both upper and lowercase, no numbers or punctuation. I figured if people ever purchased this font, all they would need were upper- or lowercase letters. But the rest of the glyphs seemed to miss out, so I made the numbers and some punctuation. But I still found the font incomplete...therefore I redid all the punctuation (from "standard" punctuation to "picturish" punctuation) and added two additional sets of letters. Meaning that there is 4 different versions of letters to choose from: 2 different lowercase, and 2 different lowercase. I had a lot of fun drawing this font, and some fun doing the detective work finding out how the MANY lettershapes should look! I hop you too have fun using this font! :)

  39. Neutraface Text by House Industries, $33.00
Although better known for his residential buildings, Richard Neutra’s commercial projects nevertheless resonate the same holistic ecology—unity with the surrounding landscape and uncompromising functionalism. His attention to detail even extended to the selection of signage for his buildings. It is no wonder that Neutra specified lettering that was open and unobtrusive, the same characteristics which typified his progressive architecture. House Industries brings the same linear geometry to Neutraface without sacrificing an unmistakably warm and human feel. FEATURES AUTOMATIC SMALL CAPS: If you specify “Small Caps”, InDesign and Photoshop will automatically substitute the true small caps charac- ters as well as the corresponding figures and punctuation for any lowercase characters. NEUTRAFACE TEXT ALTERNATES: Neutraface Text contains several stylistic alternate characters. LIGATURES: This feature is on by default. It will substitute a long list of “f” and “t” ligatures. For example, open InDesign or Photoshop and type “ff” or “tt”. Like all good subversives, House Industries hides in plain sight while amplifying the look, feel and style of the world’s most interesting brands, products and people. Based in Delaware, visually influencing the world.
