My name is Teruyoshi Matsui. I am a Brush Art Designer. My foundry ‘Brush Art Design Office’ is situated at the foot of an active volcano ‘ Mt. Aso ’ in the Kumamoto Prefecture, the southern part of Japan. I design the letters of the alphabet with a Japanese brush. I have created the brush font named ‘ Lethal Fake ’ in my unique brush style. At the beginning of making the font I was going to name it ‘BrushType Lethal’ and tell you, “ Be careful using it. That’s because it ’s Lethal ”. But actually I was very disappointed when it was finished. I tried to make it lethal, but it was not. So I changed the font name into ‘ Lethal Fake ’. This time I have to say to you, “ Be careful using it. That’s because it’s not Lethal ”. Thank you.

I was thinking of calling it Ozymanidias, after Shelley’s poem, because it evokes memories of ancient runic inscriptions, but then I thought that was maybe a bit pretentious, and I decided I'd keep it simple and descriptive. Besides, I wasn't sure how to spell Ozymandias! Skeleton Slab has small caps in place of lower case.

Luba is a multi-script text family designed by Hendrik Moeller. The family includes four weights: Light, Regular, Medium, and Bold. Each of these fonts may be purchased with both Latin and Cyrillic script coverage, or with support for just the Latin script. One good pun is worth a simple description… Nondescript JNL… 'Non' - not. 'de' - of, in Spanish. script - a cursive (handwritten) letter form. So… while nondescript generally means lacking any defining description, in this case it also means "not of a script"… which is precisely what a typeface such as this one is!

Though Zigarre can easily be categorized a brush script, Jim Rimmer actually drew it using a big marker. Jim’s original face, inspired by inter-war German poster lettering, was a rough one, with the marker’s juicy ink roughing it out all over the place. The smooth version, Zigarre Script, was produced as part of a major update and remastering the design underwent in 2012.
