La Parisienne is a collection of fonts inspired by Paris avenues and boulevards full of inimitable french charm. The family is a mix of handlettering and classic forms. All fonts in collection work well together and while they share some of the features each of the fonts has its own character. The main fonts in the collection are full of open type features such as stylistic and contextual alternates and swashes. Fully unicode mapped, the font collection has an extended character set to support Western, Central and Eastern European languages. It is best used in OpenType-aware software. The focus on developing Macha was just to get to the point with each letterform and discard the rest. Macha takes a little but gives a lot. Saugatuck is a cap-height only display typeface inspired by nature. With it’s roots based on a few hand-drawn characters from nearly a century ago by the pen artist W.E. Dennis, Saugatuck now exists as a two-variant typeface. It contains all of the usual characters and accents, most of the math, plus some of the more esoteric characters. Each letter A-Z has a alternate in it’s associated lowercase character to allow you to have even more varied, natural-looking text. In September, 2003 I was contacted by MTV for the restyling of mtv.it I started from the beginning to work on a radical simplification of its visual elements, to achieve a better usability. It didn't take me so much to realize the basic design I attempted would have called for a notable reduction of the rich imagery distinguishing MTV's visual identity. As a visual aid to help me in this process I designed Virna, a headline "op-art" inspired face with the ability to create both vertical and horizontal ligatures between single words among two text lines, with the same ease of linking letters in handwriting or a linked script typeface.

InduXtrial was developed for a poster project which needed a modern, degenerated look. We actually designed a custom variant of our Savoyard font with some unique characters and a somewhat different look for a number of the characters. We then degenerated the character outlines in Photoshop, ultimately running them through several permutations to produce two different versions of each character for the main font, plus an additional font with stylized initial capitals and customized small caps. Then, just to cap things off we produced a set of drop-cap initials and unique outline characters. The result is just what you need to express the concept of industrial decay in print.

Itemone is a pixel-based typeface consisting of 5 styles. It is suitable for posters, flyers, t-shirts, magazines and more, giving your designs a cool contemporary look. The main parts of each character in the monoline font, including counters, can be drawn using a single line. This has been the main principle in the design of this geometric typeface, giving each font a very distinct look. All of the five fonts have been designed on the same pixel grid with an x-height of five units. Each font in this typeface consists of 250 characters, including uppercase and lowercase characters and two sets of numerals.

The Glober font family includes 18 weights - nine uprights with nine italics. There's a little restaurant in an old house on a sidestreet in town (Rockland, Maine, USA) called Cafe Miranda. The staff is friendly, the setting intimate, and the appetizer a basket of hot bread fresh from a brick oven. Its ample menu features such entries as "Quasi-Cassoulet" and "Gentle Sole." It's among my favorite local places to dine out. But the menu got photocopied once too often, and Cindy's personable handlettering got faded and broken. So I took matters into my own hands. And here's what I delivered to the newly computerized folks at the little restaurant on Oak Street. You, too, can travel in rather heavy felt-tip style.

Handel Slab, designed by Ralph M. Unger, is a new offering which ideally enhances and extends the existing Handel Gothic family. Even so, Handel Slab can very well be used on its own. Obviously, Handel Slab is closely based on Handel Gothic, which was designed by Don Mandel in the mid 1960s and which has been popular and successful amongst users from day one. Even today, it is a futuristic sans serif, and it is used for a wide range of typographic tasks, for example in computer games. Handel Slab provides a perfect enhancement to Handel Gothic, and the combination of both families offers more flexibility to designers and typographers.

Bouwsma Script, based on Philip Bouwsma's own handwriting, was originally released in 1994 and settled for nothing less than being an instant classic. One of Bouwsma's widely used works in the 1990s, Bouwsma Script finds its home now at Canada Type, where it was updated with the Euro symbol and complete support for Turkish, Baltic, and Central and Eastern European languages. It now also comes in all popular font formats, including OpenType. Real, casual, friendly, and loaded with the designer's artistic touch, Bouwsma Script can be seen around the globe on plenty of store signs, book covers, product packaging, promotional posters and a variety of other paraphernalia.

After designing two script fonts (lp Pinselschrift, lp Bambus), Peter Langpeter has now drawn an elegant Antiqua font, namely lp Saturnia, derived and conceived from his work in developing headlines and logos. The aim was to create a modern interpretation of the classical Roman letters (Capitalis Monumentalis or Trajan by Carol Twombly), avoiding the archaic look of these letter forms. Also, the difficulty of spacing characters with excessive forms, such as the long tails of 'K' and 'R', are avoided. Additionally, lp Saturnia also comes with lower case characters. The result is a contemporary and elegant typeface that is more suitable for practical use, without renouncing the classical Roman character.

For decades, the National Show Card Writer Company of Minneapolis, MN produced sign making kits used by shopkeepers, schools, churches and many other types of organizations. The standard sets were comprised of two part stencils that when overlaid, produced finished lettering, or a buyer could choose the same type style designs with a standard stencil letter. From one of these templates comes Show Card Stencil JNL, in both regular and oblique versions. Take note that the U, V and W have the heavier vertical strokes reversed. As this was the way the original stencil design was manufactured, it has been retained for this digital type as well.

An Swish is a unique handwritten font. Crafted in ink to become digital. Initially it was created as a kind of textural filling of spaces - walls, posters, clothes. With the apparent density of the set and the negligence of the forms, it remains quite readable. It can work with different spacing options. Erghon is a handwritten font with quick dry strokes and a signature style. Modesto Open is now a Chromatic Font Family. The old font Modesto Open has been improved, renamed Modesto Open Primary and joined by four new fonts that ornament and augment the Primary font in many different ways. All Caps. Modesto is a loose-knit group of Font Families based on a signpainting lettering style popular in the late-19th and early-20th centuries. It evolved from the lettering I used for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Logo. The Modesto family was not planned. It just happened, a few fonts at a time over about fifteen years. In 2014 seven new Italic fonts and two Chromatic families were added.

The seventeenth century Dutch old faces have a distinct character of their own, and were the source for eighteenth century English type designs, such as Caslon. Christoffel van Dijck was one of the great Dutch typefounders, although this face, which bears his name, may not have been cut by him, it is nevertheless representative of the best designs from that period. The Van Dijck italic, for which original punches survive, is almost certainly the work of van Dijck. Drawn at Monotype under the supervision of Jan van Krimpen. The Van Dijck font is a graceful typeface, best used for setting books, quality magazines and articles.

Work on Scene began some time after designer Sebastian Lester joined Monotype Imaging in 2000. Clean, calm, and highly legible — thus the design brief Lester set for himself. With Scene, he wanted to provide graphic designers and creative directors with a suite of fonts that would serve as a strong foundation for identity projects, incorporating what he had learned about on-screen and print legibility. Scene was developed during two years of after-hours and weekend work. The family comes in six weights with matching italics, there is a set of “semi-sans” characters to introduce more expressive word rhythms into headlines and blocks of copy.

Nauman Neue is a modern humanist sans serif typeface made for the screen. Broad open letter forms are combined with precise geometry to create a functional and legible font that’s ideal for web and on-screen applications. In 2021 Nauman was expanded to sixty styles, including two helpful widths condensed and semi-condensed. Included in the font are 900 characters per style, ten weights and three widths with matching italics. Opentype features consist of seven numerals variations, including inferiors, superiors, fractions, tabular, lining, and old style. It also has alternate lowercase a, e, I, M, small caps, arrows and language support covering Western, South, Central Europe and Vietnamese.

Foundry Monoline is an elegant, modern typeface family eminently suited for use in identity, editorial, and advertising use. The deceptively simple design, and clean, linear appearance has been created using strong structural elements. Each character has its own subtleties and variations, with the monoline appearance achieved through careful optical adjustment. Since its first release, the family has been extended from 7 to 12 fonts. It now includes a comprehensive choice of 6 weights with accompanying italics - from ultra-light beautiful at large sizes, to extra bold great for headlines. It is also available in OpenType Levels 1, 2 and 3 providing a wide range of language access.

I started to work at the Bernhard Studio in 1952 to 1959 in New York. I helped with some type designs and many other projects, this two tiered signature was added on all of Bernhard’s art that was produced in the past and in his later years. In the 50’s I thought Bernhard’s Gothic face was quite a bit outdated but as you may know it has become one of todays most used faces. His signature is based on his Bernhard Gothic Font. With todays computer technology I have digitized the caps and added lower case glyphs with lower ascenders and other slight changes.

Monolina is a contemporary monolinear script that is based on the contrast between classical (beautiful) calligraphy and quickly jotted manuscript (sketches). As all styles are based on the single stroke of a round nib pen, the letter is rounded. The typeface features two sets of capital and curly uppercase letters, swash characters and alternative lowercase letters, which combine well in three styles. The font also features swash figures and decimal figures for writing years and summer sales. Accent marks for all languages using Latin letters, currency symbols and punctuation marks are included. The typeface comes across as fresh as is particularly effective at headline point sizes.

Altone was created in a pursue of regularity and conventional geometric sans serif typeface which tend to be easy to receive by it's reader, broad usage possibility, shown a simple, bold and strong personality. The letterforms are more likely associated with Grotesk rather than the original classical Bauhaus style, formed in moderate and proportional width, flat apex, closed aperture with straight cuts stroke ends.
