The 14 symbol and arrow fonts in Vialog Signs were designed to accompany Vialog, a specially developed font family for the transportation industry and information systems typography. These functional and clever signs harmonize with the Vialog alphabets perfectly and they can also be used on their own or with other fonts. The extensive sets have not only the symbols for common transportation industry requirements, but also symbols for the numerous electronic and sporting devices of modern life. Included are four weights of arrows (to match the weights of the Vialog fonts), Sport Signs, Conduct Signs, Communication Signs, Community Signs, Direction Signs, and Transport Signs.

Rosabella is a script typeface with plenty of decorative details — flourishes, swashes, twists and other elements, which impart to the face a gorgeous festive look. An unusually large number of alternates and ligatures make it possible to imitate live calligraphic writing. Lower case letters are divided into several stylistic sets from relatively modest variants to the most decorative contextually-dependent swash shapes. Besides that there are two sets of upper case letters — the second one contains larger and more complex shapes. Letters from the different stylistic sets can be used in a wide variety of combinations with the different levels of embellishments. Rosabella was designated for display material, greetings and advertising.

Herold is a bold Art Nouveau advertising face released by H. Berthold, Berlin, Germany in 1901. It is also seen under the name “Herold Reklame.” The design is attributed to Hermann Hoffmann by the Klingspor Museum. A herold (‘herald’ in English, ‘heraldus’ in Latin) is one who delivers proclamations and announcements. Medieval heralds are often pictured with a horn with which to get everyone’s attention prior to performing his function. His only PA system was his own voice. Left and right glyphs of a herald with horn may be found at positions 137 and 172. Herold is quite compact with a high x-height, just right for making -- what else? -- announcements.

Francker is a sans-serif, based on clean and simple design principles that betray its Danish origin. Its curves are based on the “super ellipse”, a mathematical shape about half-way between an ellipse and a rectangle. Francker’s lowercase lettershapes a, b, n, and u, have no spurs, emphasizing the simplicity of their construction. The Francker family is available in two widths, normal and condensed, each in nine weights, from extra light to extra black. Use Francker for signage, posters, magazines, advertisements, or corporate identity projects—wherever an industrial, contemporary look is needed. A happy, and delicate family, available in 5 weights. Being very legible in small sizes, it pays tribute to French designer Roger Excoffon, particularly to his Antique Olive type. Antique Olive combines two features which inspired the design of Quimera: a large x-height with open counters which ensures legibility at tiny body sizes; and letterforms with a horizontal stress which contradicts the logics of calligraphic tradition (thick verticals, thin horizontals). Quimera has a typical sanserif stroke modulation, but letters have a very thin, capricious serif, which helps to keep the texline's continuity. This 'genetic' contradiction is the reason for its name: Khimera, as it would be a 'sanserif avec'!

Castellar is a capital letter typeface from John Peters, named after a location in the Alps. It first appeared in 1957 with Monotype. Peters modelled the design on the Roman script Scriptura Quadrata as it was used in the first two centuries of the Roman Empire. One distinguishing characteristic is the quadratic proportions of many letters, which are however mixed with circular and narrow forms. The original script was called Scriptura Quadrata because the ancient engravers used rectangular stone plates for their work. Castellar is a typical title typeface and is best used in large and very large point sizes to highlight its classic elegance.

Isard is a very agile typeface, honoring its name, which is the name of a type of mountain goat from the Catalan Pyrenees. It is a multipurpose sans serif typeface with a down-to-earht elegance, thought for information design as well as branding. Isard is warm and friendly which also makes it suitable for advertising, packaging, and magazine. It has a contemporary feel to it with its squarish curves, it has being built with legibility in mind, bearing a considerably large x-height. The family covers two scripts, Hebrew and Latin. It has seven weights, from the very sturdy Black to the delicacy of the Thin, with its italics.

“Kamenica” - named after a beautiful small mountain river in Serbia - is a font family containing 3 weights: Light, Regular and Bold. The Kamenica river is only a few meters wide. Mostly shallow and cold, clear and green, it was the direct inspiration source for the creation of this condensed typeface. As our other typefaces, “Kamenica” also combines traditional shapes with modern forms, tall x-height and a collection of more than 300 glyphs. Comparing the river with the font, we could say that letters are the fishes that lives in the Kamenica river and that the font weights are the seasons in which this river shows most of its own character.

Camelot was the first of over 100 typefaces designed by Frederic Goudy. The upper case characters were drawn in 1896 for the Dickinson Type Foundry. Goudy was so encouraged by his check for $10 (double what he asked for the drawings), that he spent the next 50 years designing type. The lower case was added by the Dickinson foundry. This Lanston digital release includes a Text version based on the smaller point sizes of the metal type and a Display version based on the larger sizes. The two appear different in size but share the exact same line weight when at the same point size.

Created in 2009 by V.H. Fleisher, Monod is a geometric sans-serif typeface. The font has OpenType features that can be accessed in programs like the Adobe Creative Suite. These features include titling caps which are heavier & more tightly spaced than the regular caps, alternative punctuation marks, and arbitrary nut fractions (for single digit numerators & denominators). CA Cape Rock, first released in 2007 and now reissued and expanded, is an impressive display typeface. Designed with a fat Clarendon and wood type in mind, the typeface’s bold and distinctive forms add spice and personality to any design that requires a strong display aesthetic. CA Cape Rock is particularly enjoyable for use in headlines and ideal for highlighted text. With already two dozen existing ligatures and many OpenType swashes, the new edition also received letters for use in the Central European and South Eastern European area. Cleaned and harmonized paths, a completely new kerning as well as a newly added Italic (Slanted) style are also among the new features.

Gentleman font is a sans-serif font family of 10 weights – from hairline to black – designed by Juraj Chrastina. We think Gentleman name suits perfectly to this family because of its beautiful outlines and elegant letterforms yet looking tight, compact and with own presence. Dusty Circus™ is a five layer stacking display face designed to be infinitely morphed. The metrics are set identically in the individual and family set, to provide for typographic ease (although we seem to prefer an offset appearance). Great for a vintage western feel or a modern aesthetic. In addition, note that it is very easy to omit a layer and add multiple copies of other layers to produce a 3D bevel on the fly, or inline styles with flair and substance. LTD is a short set for non-commercial use only and combines two of the layers with many features/glyphs removed.

Sequel 100 Wide is a static sans-serif or neogrotesque with generous horizontal proportions. A variant of the original Sequel Sans, it considerably expands the stylistic scope of the Sequel superfamily. In addition to its wider letterforms, it has got a larger x-height, slightly shifting the historical flavor from the 1950s to the 1960s. Yet, at its core, it’s as clean and functional as the main font family, with perfectly horizontal stroke endings and vertical terminals. Six weights from 45 (Regular) to 95 (Black), matching italics, and limitless possible interpolations by means of two Variable Fonts offer a rich typographic palette for any situation.

Railhead is a revival of an 1870s type style that was originally available from both the Bruce foundry in New York and James Conner's Sons type foundry. The Redux version is the original design but only the uppercase and punctuation were ever created the rest of this font design including numbers, accented characters and lowercase are of my own design. Looking at the original font the inside rails reminded me of a railroad so I created a new version by adding horizontal lines in the lower portion of each letter which resemble railroad ties and Railhead seemed to be the most logical name for this old revival.

I don’t live in the mountains, so when we go on holiday and visit the mountains, we always like to hear the echo! A bit childish, I know, but that’s how it is. Background Echo is a very nice, handmade, all caps font. It’s not exactly a laser-cut design; glyphs are a bit uneven, wobbly in places and have their own idea of what they should look like. That, my dear potential customers, is the charm of a hand made font! Background Echo comes with a vast array of diacritics, regular and bold styles and a selection of interesting swashes for the upper case glyphs

Varese is a geometric and modular typeface inspired by early 1900s Art Deco posters. Its heavy weight is excellent for headlines, display, or large body text. The lowercase is similar to the uppercase, yet many of the lowercase letters have interior spaces and several have some variations on the form (see H/h, E/e, F/f, I/i, J/j, L/l, N/n, T/t). The lowercase also has two alternate glyph sets that are half size and align with cap height. One of the alternate glyph sets has an underline and the other set does not. Varese has a sibling, Varese Soft.

Perfect in its imperfection, Psychedelic Xylophones is a retro trippy hippie font that brings a hand-lettered groove to your text graphics. I traveled a lot: in the beginning on my own, later as a tour guide. I always used the English word ‘abroad’ to describe a trip to a foreign country, but I noticed that the English, Australians and New Zealanders preferred the word ‘overseas’. I then realised that they all lived on an island, so most of the foreign countries for them were across the sea. I had to think of that when I made this font! Overseas is a brush font with a certain rough elegance to it. I made it using poster paint and a brush. Use if for posters, product packaging and book covers.

Once I set on the concept for this ‘Origami’ inspired font, I used an imaginary strip of folded paper as the basis for each character, the folded effect being realized fully by incorporating an incised line. Of course the folded paper aspect is just a two dimensional illusion but subconsciously, will automatically be interpreted three dimensionally. There are numerous options for creating alternative characters following this logic, as the centuries-old Origami tradition itself illustrates quite clearly, but I wanted to maintain an ordered sense of style and balance throughout the full character set, so avoided any unnecessary flourishes, staying true to the Japanese ethos and spirit.

Ok, so many of you are now probably wondering if I am a teenager. Nope. But I was once, and I had alot of pent up angst like alot of other teens, and maybe this typeface is my outlet for what is left of those teenage days of mine. Take it as you will, but Young Itch is a bold, scratchy, handdrawn typestyle, with that feel of grunge and pent up anger. Roswell was designed by Jim Parkinson, who acknowledges the 'spacey' ancestry of its name. Yes, Roswell, New Mexico. There was a big anniversary of 'the incident' in the news while I was designing in Roswell. "The incident" is of course the alleged UFO crash in Roswell. "I thought the name was acceptable as a serious font name, while, on another level, having a strangely humorous edge," says Parkinson. Roswell looks great in large sizes on a poster or in a magazine layout. It started out as "a variation on American gothic forms like Railroad Gothic", says the designer, but Roswell is an original design with eccentricities of its own."

This is my new, completely worked over and fine-tuned Bodoni Classic for Europe (no Greek and Cyrillic). I have added a set of elegant Swashes (B) and 2 alternating uppercase swirly Initials (C) as well as two lowercase end-letters (D). The fonts A and B have extensive kerning, which the initials (C) don't need, they are aligned to replace the standard capital letter. The lowercase end-letters (D) are aligned to replace the standard lowercase letters, so you might need to add a blank after the swirl.
