German designer Rosemarie Kloos-Rau created Wiesbaden Swing in 1992 for Linotype. This light, informal typeface is based on her own handwriting, and the strokes have a feeling of spontaneity and energetic flair. Kloos-Rau says about her typeface: “From the experience with my design company I recognized the need for fonts with personality. Chico was by designed by Javier Mariscal and Josema Urós specifically for the final roll of credits in the animated film Chico y Rita. The goal was to design a typeface with a good readability but that conveyed a strong script character and, in some way, tuned to the style of line used throughout the film. Using a modular sans-serif as a template, Javier Mariscal reinterpreted the forms freely, while maintaining gridlike proportions. Chico can be useful for comic-book lettering, editorial work and display applications.

Tabac Big Glam probably stretches the Tabac super-family’s boundaries the furthest. While it’s based on the serif version, it achieves an especially surgical cleanliness and extremely sharp typesetting by completely letting the serifs go. Despite this, the text isn’t boring for a moment — the angled cut of the stems on b, d, h, k, l, the open loop on g or the rounded variant of the italic y, which can be called by turning on the stylistic set, reliably banishes any suspicions of the letters’ monotony.

P22 Tuscan Expanded is a digitization of the mid-19th Century Woodtype font "Antique Tuscan Expanded - Wells & Webb 1854". Specimens of this font are rarely, if ever, seen with a lower case. It is noted in the book American Wood Type 1828-1900 by Rob Roy Kelly that the lower case is "missing". This version was digitized from a recently discovered full set including all lower case plus ff ligatures. One unique feature of this design is the heart shape formed in the V, X & Y.

Like traditional athletic block typefaces, Crafton is built with chiseled corners and a rigid skeleton. However, an underlying formula of fervor and functionality emerges in execution. The typeface features traditional block tendencies that are challenged by expressive angles and deviations in line weight that harken to penmanship. Normal and upright italic script fonts line a well-trodden path; left-leaning fonts (or "rightalics" as they're confusingly called), on the other hand, are a rarity. Here at Eclectotype Fonts we don't like to do things too conventionally, so here's Backstroke, a laid back script with a unique voice. With contextual alternates for start and end forms of certain characters, swash versions of L, Q and Z (surely the most used initial caps!), and a handful of stylistic sets, Backstroke is a restrained script. Street Tag vol1 is inspired from graffiti tag in urban areas in Jakarta, i also draw graffiti, tag and throw up since high school. This is originally my style, inspired from some my favourite graffiti artist, my tag style is not so tidy and i think you guys should adjust the kerning manually again, because it’s impossible to adjust them to be tidy. I also create special letter "G",“Y” and “T” in vector base, so you can edit the path as you like, combine with the original font, you can see the sample.

Yngreena is a serifed typeface with calligraphic origins. In updating it in 2011, I began to add alternative letters and reached the point where it made sense to create an alternative family of faces rather than include all the alternatives as part of an OpenType font. The letters K, R, V, W, Y, f, g, k, t, v, and w are tamer in Yngreena Alt. As a result, though it is still a decorative text face, Yngreena Alt is better suited for lengthier blocks of text than is the original Yngreena face.

I‘d like to introduce “Charlonka“ to you. When my daughter finished high school, she wanted to get rid of her entire school stuff. So I saved a few sheets of her beautiful handwriting and promised her to create a typeface out of it. That‘s how the idea of Charlonka was born, a typeface family out of Charlotte‘s handwriting (by the way: that‘s her name). Some characters of Charlonka have extended crossbars, like in upper case A or H, and reduced descenders, like in lower case g or y.

Keep up that great western tradition with Buckle Bold! Buckle was created to be a contemporary twist to old "cowboy" fonts. It is bold while retaining a narrow width. When reduced down, it has a slightly worn look caused by the reduced double diamonds inside the capitals - which does not look out of place at all.
