Sweet Upright Script is the first release for Sweet Fonts Collection, published by MVB Fonts. It is an interpreted revival of a vintage, social engraving lettering style that was popular during the 20th Century. It is probably the first digital version of the design. With the advent of the engraving machine (a pantograph device) around 1900, commercial engraving moved from the use of hand-cut plates to the use of masterplates (lettering patterns). Lettering was traced from the masterplate using the engraving machine, letter by letter, onto a coated steel plate, that would then be etched in a chemical bath. The resulting plate was used to print engraved stationery with the raised print distinctive to the process. Many of these lettering styles were used for decades for commercial and social applications (letterheads, wedding invitations, etc.), but as they were merely traced alphabets, were not "fonts". Many remain unavailable in digital form. Over time, a number of the most popular styles were adapted to phototype, which sped up the process of plating for engraving, avoiding the need to trace each letter by hand with the engraving machine. Later, when type went digital, these phototype fonts were revived as digital fonts. As a result, the styles offered by engravers narrowed over time, as has the range of engraving styles revived in digital form.

The typeface was baptized as "Caldense" in order to honor the city of Caldas da Rainha, a small city in Portugal, the typography's birth place. It has three weights, Regular, Demi Bold and Bold and it is a sans serif and grotesque. Each character was based on a grid and was built in modules, having round edges and straight finishes. The font can be used in titles and normal text while being easy to read.

The regular and italic text weights breathe a warm atmosphere, their design inspiration is a relaxed interpretation of the work of 16th-century French type designer Robert Granjon, evoking a comforting rhythm and a sense of familiarity that makes reading enjoyable. On the other end of Thermal's design spectrum lie the extreme weights – thin and heavy –, specifically designed for larger sizes. These weights borrow stylistic cues from several distinct influences: the characteristic woodtype from the 19th century, the sharp lettering styles from the 70s, and the bold work of Oscar Ogg. One of Thermal's disctint features is its italic's 20° inclination, an significant inclination by all standards, this design choice finds its roots in the "Ascendonica Cursive" of 1571, but is a contemporary interpretation that generates a captivating contrast with the regular version. Thermal studies the past and analyzes the present to create a unique blend, bringing a dictint dichotomic identity.

My pet peeve for many years has been with the 'rn' in small texts, especially with my smart phone. I felt that perhaps others may have the same peeve. I decided to try and fix that with Atlantica. As you can see in poster No. 4. "With the combination of 'rn' in small text it tends to appear as 'm'. Therefore it may be read as 's t e m' instead of 's t e r n'. Altalntica has an alternate 'rn'. By invoking the < Contextual-Alternate > feature. Atlantica will replace each 'rn' - or you may individually change them if you desire". Also note the deep cuts to help legibility for smaller texts. This combination apparently does not appear in many words, but when it does it can suggest a different word as in; eastern, stern, tarnish, Tornado, Turn and in some names as well.

Tramuntana 1 Pro was inspired by the late Renaissance and Mannerist spirit and it was designed by Ricardo Santos during 2009 for his Master in Advanced Typography (Eina-Barcelona). This project was also inspired by Robert Granjon, Garamond and Sabon typefaces. The name tramuntana (Tramontane) is the Catalonian word for the cold wind that comes from the Pyrenees mountains and goes as far as the Balearic Islands. It was designed for editorial purposes (books and magazines). This typeface family contains different font versions for different optical sizes, caption, text, subhead and display, all of them with different x-height proportions and contrast. The serifs are asymmetrical and the letterforms have geometric modulated strokes which simulates the calligraphic variations. Its design approach gives a dynamic feeling, contributing to text flow and continuous reading. The kerning has been optimized for Baltic languages and Western, Southern, and Central European languages.

Chipperly is a brand new face inspired by the art of the Edwardian poster, especially travel posters. It’s good for clear ad legible headings which need a gentle and unobtrusive period touch, and is the latest is Greater Albion’s line of faces to explore the ‘small capitals’ idea. This script font was inspired by the type most commonly used during the period 1300s to 1500s. It is a compromise between historic truth and contemporary use. We particularly thank very much the Paris Sorbonne University professor who gave us freely and patiently numerous and valuable advice and criticism for this work. This font includes “long s”, naturally, as typically medieval, a lot of ligatures as “ff, ffi, fi, ft, sd, pp...”, some special glyphs frequently used as abbreviation in Latin texts during the medieval era for replacing letter groups such as “qui, qua, que, quia, quam, per, pri, pre...”, but also a few final and initial characters and final addable loops. Instructions for use, added, helps to identify them on keyboard. It can be used for web-site titles, posters and fliers design, editing ancient texts or greeting cards, all various sorts of presentations, as a very decorative, elegant and luxurious font... Archemy is a restricted and obscure branch of Alchemy that deals specifically with the life, generation and transmutation of Metals. The Archemy font is primarily a magical and alchemical alphabet. It was created on initiative of Senior Zadith, in order to properly quote older alchemical manuscripts, without the need to insert handwritten symbols. The font combines a unique and elegant Roman alphabet with a set of the most frequently used planetary and alchemical symbols that are common in the Western Mystery Tradition, and as used by those involved in the Royal Art. The Archemy font contains a selection of symbols that are still used by practitioners of the Art today, and for the sake of completeness, a selection of less used and more arcane symbols that can be found in older alchemical texts. In addition a Hebrew Alphabet is included, which will supply practitioners of the Art with the glyphs related to Cabalistic studies. Paperside: Neither Papyrus nor SSI Countryside. Inspired in some ways by the Papyrus form, but untextured and smoother, with the dimensions and proportions more open, like that of Countryside SSi, with its larger easily readable lowercase body, and more consistent, shorter stems. Paperside has an open scripted feel which is pleasing on the eye and easy to read. Paperside can enhance the first letter of most sentences automatically, and changes other letters to suit their position within words, and the letters they appear beside.
