In designing Minion font, Robert Slimbach was inspired by the timeless beauty of the fonts of the late Renaissance. The Griffith Initials font was inspired by a set of highly stylized capital letters from the remarkable hand of one of Americas foremost penmen, dating back to 1927. They combine a large degree of accuracy, grace, strength, and freedom. This font includes one set of graceful A-Z initials conveniently assigned to both the upper and lower case alphabet characters.

The name "Sticky Love" is taken from a song by Kate Bush. Perhaps not one of Kate Bush' most famous songs, but nevertheless, the song is about love (Which I think is what Kate Bush sings a lot about!) The Sticky Love font is also about love - that kind of love you just can't control. In this case, the love is about wacky letters! :) Sticky Love is handmade and just a tiny bit cleaned up. Not much though. The font has kept the handmade love!

Madisonian has been found in a catalogue of the New York Bruce type-foundry, dated 1859. The lower cases have the feeling of a Bodoni Italic and the initials have a "spencerian" touch. This font did exist originaly in a single weight. The family has been extended with a bold and an engraved version.

If you really feel that there’s nothing new happening in the sans-serif scene – meet Gloriola. Kate Greenaway was a very famous British (1846-1901) author and illustrator of childrens books. Her books were an outstanding success in English publishing during the Victorian period. Recently I found these sweet Mignonettes in an old foundry specimen book. Mignonettes is derived from the French word "mignon" which stands for lovely, charming, sweet, delightful, pleasant and that does exactly describe these little drawings. The Book of Kells is a handwritten Irish text which dates back to the 8th century. Kris Holmes and Janice Prescott digitalized some letters from this book and some from a Grotesk font in the style of Frutiger. A computer filled in the blanks and the designers then gave the font its finishing touches by hand.

AdieuTwo is a radical revision of Adieu which was a revision of my original font, Chivalry, that was traced from Chevalier back in the mid-1990s. Its roots are obvious, but this one has small caps, small cap figures, oldstyle figures, ligatures, and more. This is a thoroughly up-to-date font ready to be used for stylish heads.

Ms. Augustine is a light, lovely and modern calligraphy font with sophisticated flows. Similar to date and numbering stamps, there once was manufactured rotary band stamps with different letter and number configurations that were used for various identification purposes. From a set of vintage bands acquired from a now-closed rubber stamp shop, Marking Device JNL replicates the serif typeface used on these devices.

This beautiful roman style typeface is inspired from an E.C. Matthews book. Although the book we have is dated 1967, the style appears to have been created in the 1920s or 30s.
