Monospasz means mono-fun in English. It's spelled with 'sz' instead of 'ß' for all you english speaking folks out there who always mistake it with a 'B'. Monospaced fonts keep on drawing attention to them because their proportions stand out from the canon of common fonts. "Yuck. Look at the condensed little m. Isn't that ludicrous?" But Monospasz isn't copycatting traditional typewriters, the most popular of monospaced fonts. It's completely manually ink-written and hand crafted. Monospasz has been designed and first used for the third incarnation of our annual Weimar based typography symposium dubbed "TypograVieh lebt" in the summer 2006.

Monograph conjures ancient typewriters, telephone switchboards, vintage office machines past visions of the future. As though it were drawn with the rounded nib a of a Speedball "B" style pen, the soft curves and rounded serifs speak of a gentler less complicated time. It is nuanced with traces of the Arts and Crafts movement at the turn of the 20th Century which stressed craftsmanship and preserving and emphasizing the qualities of construction and materials.

LTC Holly Leaves consists of three ornament fonts. Holly Leaves A is a solid color set of holly leaves borders. LTC Holly Leaves B is the same ornaments but with just the leaves and LTC Holly Leaves C is just the berries. B & C can be overlayed for a two color effect.

A unique kind of type by Michael Herold: The 14 cuts of Corner are equally distributed to the two style variants A and B. From Thin to Extra Bold, variant A comes with technical and pure forms while B appears with a soft, more personal character. In combination, the two variants add up to a highly versatile family which is very well suited for branding purposes, thanks to its diverse forms of expression. Quavo is a round sans font family, including regular and oblique font styles. Round corner of letters show the soft and friendly vibe and some letters for instance: letter a, b and d, they all have a tail at the end. It's sort of personal preference, for I want to add some ornamental elements in this font. Quavo can be applied in lots of areas. Including but not limited in titles, posters, book pages and big display canvas.

Linotype CMC-7 is a MICR barcode font. It contains machine-readable numbers, letters, and punctuation. These characters are used on checks and for other banking needs in several countries. Linotype CMC-7 can also be used like any other font in visual graphic work; like the Universal MICR Pi or OCR A and B typefaces, this is a real" computer fonts, carrying all of the connotations of the days of early technology."

Kigara was Elena’s first attempt at designing a text typeface. The result is not exactly a conventional book face. Strongly influenced by handwriting, Kigara is best suited for short texts set at medium to large sizes. However, its open letter shapes and subtle serifs make it a very readable face in smaller sizes as well. Kigara will also make headlines as a modest, light-hearted display typeface. Kigara is named after an African mushroom - hence the mushroom vignettes and African ornaments in the OpenType version and the ‘B’ set. Both the sets also include small caps, alternate figures, special ligatures and other expert glyphs.

Martoni font has two styles, namely clean and rough. It's a work that is purely a result of handwriting and has natural characteristics. It is perfect for invitations, signatures, blogs, social media, business cards, product brands. Rail Route Stencil JNL is based on a hand-cut paper stencil depicting a logo for the Baltimore and Ohio (B&O) Railroad. The lettering is from the motto encircling an image of the Capitol dome: "Linking 13 Great States with the Nation". This motto was not present on some other versions of the B&O logo.

Night Life JNL follows the classic lettering forms of the Art Deco era of the 1930s and 1940s. On the upper case letters, the A,B,E,F,H,K,P and R have extended horizontals, while the lower case a,b,e,f,h,k,p and r have those extensions removed and are more traditional in design.

X RUFFIAN Ruffian was a champion thoroughbred horse who won 10 consecutive races. A feat worth mentioning & repeating. Her tenacity & steadfast approach established the basis for this variable based font. The X represents both the Roman numeral 10, but also the X-factor for creating bespoke works of art. It is quite befitting that this font be named after a legendary champion. Which begs the question...Do you champion variety? X Ruffian's design motif uses a broad tipped chiseled marker that was set at an angle for that extra bit of vigor. Identical letter forms defeat that truly "hand rendered" look that we ultimately strive for. Each uppercase letter offers 10 (X) or more stylistic alternatives, the lowercase and number sets have 3+ options and an over under for those special characters that yield a long bottom or top (see images). Ligatures & bonus characters can add that unique offering to your already individual style & can easily be found via the glyphs panel in any open type program. With a gigantic glyph count of 688, you'll never run out of options. As a right of passage, we felt obliged to include a roman numeral set as the name beckons, which differs from the standard letter form in which you would use to create. This is a variable winner. Ligatures FS Rufus is an outgoing, likable sort of font with an eccentric streak. Wide letterforms and curious ink-traps make for an engaging personality, and a set of discretionary ligatures make FS Rufus irresistible to designers wanting to play. Not a small set, either: there are some 80 different options available. Wide The decision was made early on to make the letterforms of FS Rufus luxuriously wide. This generates a distinctive visual texture when the font is used for text. With other weights available for headlines, FS Rufus brings a curiously engaging look to editorial, magazine covers and advertising. Just look at my ink traps Ink traps are normally the preserve of fonts intended for printing at small sizes, in newspapers or directories – extra notches necessary to prevent ink from pooling. FS Rufus turns the ink trap into a beautiful eccentricity, flaunting it in both its lowercase and capitals. Take a look at the “h”, “a” and “k”, and the “B” and “N”. Attention-seeking? Moi?

A narrow, modern Slab Serif. JOSEFOV is directly derived from the sans serif text font ”Hedwig“. Therefore, of course, it pairs best with “Hedwig”. The basic thought was to create a font with heavy rounded serifs in the style of ”Clarendon“ but which hardly reminds one of that particular font. The form principle of rounded serifs is applied whenever possible — for example at the points where the individual strokes of the characters join one another. JOSEFOV seems very technical, very constructed (and truly is). In order to soften up the rigid impression, the serifs are applied at some points contrary to the tradition handed down, as with the upper case A C G K M V W and the lower case a b d h i j k l s t. Historically there is no example of the laterally oriented serifs of capital and small s (S) and C G. On the other hand, the double-sided serifs on the stems of b d h k l appear at the beginning of modern times in the very first serif types from five hundred years ago. The double-sided serifs of A M V W were also customary in the first decades of printing. JOSEVOV is particularly suitable for topics such as nature, folklore, culture, music, nutrition.

Seuchter Experimental is a product of the fertile Jugendstil period in Austria. Drawn by Bruno Seuchter, about whom little biographical information is available, the design first appeared in Seuchter’s publication, Die Fläche, in 1902. Die Fläche means “surface or expanse,” presumably a reference to a “tabula rasa” or clean slate. The implication is one of starting anew, rejecting the past and searching for fresh, different modes of visual expression — which is exactly what Art Nouveau attempted to do. Seuchter Experimental is a quirky and light-hearted font. Ligatures include AT, AV, CH, CK, FJ, LO and ST. Although basically an all-cap font, several of the accented letters in the lower case position represent the oft-seen desire to keep the accents below cap-height. The a-umlaut at 228 and u-umlaut at 252 reflect Seuchter’s original design. For a discussion of the difference between a diaresis and an umlaut, see Appendix B of Bringhurst’s The Elements of Typographical Style. In the meantime, give this font room to breathe.

Ampmosphere, a picture font, contains instruments and components from a 60's rock and roll band. After a friend's request to create a guitar graphic, I decided to start a set. Over time, more instruments were added along with amps, tubes, lights, etc. The glyphs are great to use individually or combined. 65 detailed glyphs in all... A - Z upper and lower case; 0 - 9; comma, period and forward slash. Upper case A, B, C and D are the separate strings for the stringed instruments a, b, c and d.

Everyone likes getting a handwritten letter. At least, they would if anyone still hand wrote letters. We heard a story about a type designer who gets a Christmas card from his niece. He’s been out of touch with her for years and is both delighted and surprised to receive a handwritten note. His first thought is “How sweet; how very nice to hear from her.” His second thought is,”Great font potential; I could use this.” And he did. Carissa has a fresh, spontaneous feel, with a wonderful use of uppercase letters (B and R, etc.) within the lower case. Useful as a personal font or for an off-beat menu...
