Ano Angular was originally designed for a fashion company. It was to be used as a headline type, half way between the logo we had designed — made up of straight lines only — and our circle-based Ano typeface, which was to be used for text. Sharp End fonts support Latin Based Languages only (see Tech Specs). Sharp End's creation is inspired by Gothic sharpness shape but only applied to the ends of normal letters. Based on one of the earliest Tuscans, from Thorowgood's foundry. The original was very poorly rendered in 1822, but keep in mind that decorative types were still quite new in the early 1800s. We redrew it, but kept it recognizable.

Arroyo is based on water flow. Little creeks on the surface of the earth formed by the action of fast-flowing water, this phenomenon inspired me to create this font. The little gaps/creeks form the letters of the font.

The new Cinio Text type family is a version of Cinio that can be used on screen and for text composition. The rounded corners of the glyph design increase its legibility in small size and on supports with a low resolution.

This dotty delight, with its exceptional x-height, is based on handlettering presented in one of Hal Martin’s many Idea Books for Signmen, Artists and Displaymen, published in the 1930s. The ball terminals on several letters in the original alphabet have been enlarged to punctuate the page with dancing dots, suggesting the game which gives this typeface its name. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

First published in 1938, Letters and Lettering by Paul Carlyle and Guy Loring was a textbook on lettering examples and how to do them. On one of the pages was found a solid black (counterless) Art Deco sans serif design that in its many variations so typified the era. The example shown in that book served as the model for Postmodern Moderne JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The name Old Style No. 7 comes from a time when foundries released a variety of typefaces under one name. Linotype produced Old Style No. 7, which was based on an early 1870s typeface from the Bruce Typefoundry, which had based its design on a type from the Scottish foundry Miller and Richards. Old Style No. 7 is a reliable text type that is serviceable for both books and shorter copy demands, such as magazines.

The hand-lettered title on a piece of sheet music for 1938's "Don't Be That Way" (as recorded by Benny Goodman) featured squared letters with rounded corners, slight variants in line thickness and interesting "overhangs". Additionally, some letters closed off on one end while others were opened, giving the impression of a slight "maze" effect. This unique song title was enough of an inspiration to be turned into Musical Arrangement JNL.
