It occurred to me years ago that the graphic arts community might find useful a digital typeface that mimicked the classic look of nineteenth-century handwriting. Conveniently, my mother then still volunteered at the Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin, my hometown. She made copies of the letters of a few famous Texans -- Houston, Austin, Travis, Burnet, Rusk. Thomas J. Rusk’s penmanship caught my eye as the most accessible of the bunch. I hadn't realized at the time what a challenge it'd be to render a realistic-looking script face, but the result has, in fact, filled a niche.

Enotria is a contemporary neo-grotesk typefaces inspired by the Swiss school but with a Calabrian’s soul (south Italy region). It is composed by 8 weights and 7 widths for 112 styles with also 4 stylistic set for the letters, 2 stylistic set for numbers, 1 more stylistic set for symbols and punctuations, for three languages scripts. After designing two script fonts (lp Pinselschrift, lp Bambus), Peter Langpeter has now drawn an elegant Antiqua font, namely lp Saturnia, derived and conceived from his work in developing headlines and logos. The aim was to create a modern interpretation of the classical Roman letters (Capitalis Monumentalis or Trajan by Carol Twombly), avoiding the archaic look of these letter forms. Also, the difficulty of spacing characters with excessive forms, such as the long tails of 'K' and 'R', are avoided. Additionally, lp Saturnia also comes with lower case characters. The result is a contemporary and elegant typeface that is more suitable for practical use, without renouncing the classical Roman character.

Magneton is a brush script typeface that contains three weights and two slant angles. Three weights simulates the pressure of the brush pen; light is written with a gentle pressure and the bold one with more pressure. Two slant angles gives Magneton two natures; the more casual one and the more dynamic one. So with this script you have lots of options to choose from. In the early 1980s, at the start of my career, I had the opportunity to work in a print shop with classic lead setting. In those days I would study issues of U&lc magazine from ITC. What really caught my attention were scripts in the Spencerian style. I’ve been fascinated by this American penmanship tradition ever since. A few years ago I developed a font. Boris Bencic used it when he was redesigning L’Officiel magazine in Paris. I took these initial forms and developed them into the font Mommie when I started my own foundry. Although I usually design text typefaces, working on Mommie taught me how complex it can be to create a script headline font. The biggest challenge in this process has been to keep it alive and fresh. The Regular weight is only made for very big headlines. The thin lines with the bold drops are very elegant. For smaller sizes use the Medium and Small weight. It won the TDC 2008 award and was Judges Choice of Christian Schwartz.

Sharp End fonts support Latin Based Languages only (see Tech Specs). Sharp End's creation is inspired by Gothic sharpness shape but only applied to the ends of normal letters. Make the font look beautiful and elegant, look as semi-serif, as calligraphic touch or others. The base of the Capital Characters is set a little bit lower than the small cases/lowercases. On small/normal size typing, the difference is less visible (obscure), but will be more visible/more clear as the typing set larger. Thus, Sharp End fonts will work well for both text and display. The fonts has also character variants. The character variations (in PUA) set in 5 stylistic sets ss01 ... ss05 (see Sharp End opentype features poster). So, these character variations will be easier accessible in more common application such as MS Words, Text Edit or the others. Genesis is a digitization and expansion of a Frank Riley metal typeface called Grayda, originally published to much applause by ATF in 1939. The concept for this disconnected script is quite novel and original among cursives and calligraphic fonts: The minuscules are mostly made with slightly clubbed strokes, which becomes clearly visible in the ascenders and descenders.
