State Machine is a display typeface inspired by lettering applied to American and Russian Cold War-era military vehicles. It also features an alternate character set inspired by 1970s hand-made political banners. The name State Machine is a term found in both political theory and computer programming. The theoretical definition describes the political and bureaucratic organisation of a state as well as the repressive state apparatuses such as the military and police. Max Weber describes the state as "a human community that (successfully) claims the monopoly of the legitimate use of physical force within a given territory". In computer programming, a state machine is a mathematical model of computation used to design computer programs. It is conceived as an abstract machine that is in one of a finite number of states. It can change from one state to another when initiated by a triggering event or condition. Taken at a wider conceptual level, when these two definition are combined the meaning becomes analogous to a tool (such as a philosophical idea) with which to transform a society.

Pine Nuts-United is the little sister of the popular "Pine Nuts" and "Pony Tale" family fonts. It's a connected (United) version with some new ligatures, stylistic alternates and alternate glyphs, small-caps are also included. See the 'Pine Nuts', 'Pony Tale' and 'Pony Tale Pro' versions.

Riga is a space-saving and legible typeface designed to work equally well on paper and on the computer screen. Its personality is clear and practical, yet warm and polite. Riga is suitable for a wide range of typography such as editorial, websites, packaging and corporate design. Economical proportions, high x-height and open letter forms guarantee good performance in narrow columns and tight headlines. Riga is exceptionally readable at small point sizes and elegant at larger ones. Riga comes in 18 styles and weights and contains a large number of OpenType features. In the late 1990s Gerard Unger won the assignment to design the signage system for the Holy Year celebrations to be held in Rome in 2000. The system he developed in cooperation with the design agency n|p|k used a classically inspired serif typeface, but the earlier proposals included a sans-serif, which became Vesta (2001). Vesta is a versatile family that can be used as a display face alongside Unger's serif faces Gulliver, Capitolium or Coranto; it can also be used on its own, even in longer texts. Vesta is narrower and therefore more economical than some commonly used sans serifs such as Arial and Helvetica; there is also a noticeable contrast between thick and thin parts, which makes it more lively. Vesta is to be extended with narrow versions, small capitals and old style numerals, along with some special versions for headlines.

Vidocq is a single weight typeface designed for use in headlines and titles, inspired by the woodcut styles of the 19th century. Its rounded forms and dark stroke translate into a bold yet friendly appearance coupled with a narrow proportion that let’s it set well in condensed settings. Thanks to an extended character set and wide range of Opentype features that includes arrows and fleurons, Vidocq was created to allow designers to play with various styles while composing layouts.

Narrow elegant font.

Tall, skinny handwritten letters in both a wide and a narrow version. The uppercase slots hold all of the wide versions, while the lowercase slots hold all of the narrow versions.

Mrs Summer is a hand drawn narrow typeface with a Western touch. It has only uppercase characters with alternate glyphs in place of lowercase letters and additional alternate glyph in a Stylistic Set. It has build in OpenType Contextual Alternates feature that will automatically set alternate glyphs depending on frequency of appearance of the same character (even in web font but only in HTML5 browsers). The script doesn’t just throw random glyphs. Additionally Mrs Summer is filled with ornaments, arrows, stars, horses, trees and a lot of other symbols.

Korb is a rounded sans serif family of four styles. It features a narrow geometric construction inspired by DIN letter shapes along with more unusual details like open counters and smooth connections between shoulders and stems. This makes the family suitable for a variety of applications, from corporate design to signalization. The fonts, provided in OpenType format, include diacritics for most European languages, a set of arrows and a variety of OpenType features like stylistic alternates, case-sensitive forms, tabular figures, etc. Check the pdf specimen in the gallery tab for more info.

Cooks call thinly cut - like matchsticks - vegetables "Julienne". I found that was a fitting name for this very narrow typeface. Julienne Slim is the extreme cut of the two. Personally I do not use narrow typefaces very often, but from time to time they come in handy if there is much text to be crammed into little space. I could make a typeface that was even narrower, but I will not do it. This is as narrow as my typefaces get. Enjoy what I cut for you, Gert Wiescher.

The peculiarity of this alphabet is already its origin: the basic drawing was created by narrowing Roman capitals with corresponding lowercase letters. The goal was to create a monumental font for architecture and book covers. Surprisingly, however, Amor Sans has found its way into corporate identity, offices, magazines and packaging design. Its slightly narrowed, economical design predestines it for quick reading of shorter texts, which is why it is also excellent for theater posters and programs. Introduced by the American Type Founders Co. at the time of the Spanish American War and advertised as suitable for "War Scare Headlines"! Used by many papers for years after because the narrow type was suitable for narrow single column heads.
