Since their first appearance as Italians on the pages of the 1821 William Caslon type specimens, reverse contrast typefaces have been typography's best loved quirky outcasts. Subverting the traditional relationship between thick verticals and thin horizontals made them perfect for eye-catching advertisements. It is also the last typeface Jim Rimmer ever completed. Shareb font was initially designed with a different style compared to other Arabic typefaces. It was released as a free display typeface and went popular. Therefore, we decided to take it to the next level. Accordingly, we worked on the Arabic letters again, enhancing and fixing them. We also added new features like stylistic sets, ligatures, and a complete Latin set of letters so that the font can be used in the most needed languages. Now, we have a more professional, refined, and larger display typeface that can be used in more great projects.

Ossuary is a font in which each letter is formed using a uniquely arranged pile of skulls. The font was originally designed to be caps only, but small caps were added for convenience. There is now a character for each typeable letter of the American English keyboard. The font was inspired by images from the Kostnice ossuary in Sedlec, Kutna Hora near Prague. (Google it.) Whether you are fascinated or repulsed, such images have a mystery about them. They demand your attention. That is the feel this font was intended to capture.

KampIngriana was originally constructed in 1995-6. It was not constructed to meet any specific purpose but out of curiosity, to see what the result would be if two quite different faces were blended. KampIngriana is the offspring of Ingriana, a friendly, soft face, and KampFriendship, which mimics a serifed face drawn by hand. The original blending had many oddities that I did not clean up until 2020. It originally had five styles: regular, italic, bold, bolditalic, and extrabold. Medium, mediumitalic, semibold, semibolditalic, and extraboldItalic were added in 2022.

BrownFox was created because I saw a need for a condensed, loose handwriting - I used my trusty nylon marker to create this font - it is rough, yet thin and elegant. BrownFox has a few surprises like some serious ascenders and descenders with an exaggerated x-height. Caps are intentionally simple to maintain an even rhythm. BrownFox works very well in caps, upper-lowercase, lowercase only, small and large. This font will be useful in many applications from invitations through CD album covers. The name was inspired by the other ipsum lorem.:-)

Flimsy is 100% handmade, but digitally remastered. I removed some blobs here and there, but kept enough of the original handmade line in order to make the Flimsy stand out as an organic and powerful ALL CAPS font! Public Notice JNL is based on a wood type alphabet originally shown in George Nesbitt’s 1838 catalog as “Gothic.” The image sample used for a model had only the basic A-Z characters, an ampersand and an exclamation point, so numbers and additional characters were designed and added to the digital version.

Browsing through an online edition of the Feb 29, 1960 issue of Billboard magazine, an ad was spotted for the Jamie record label of Philadelphia. The text was hand lettered in a free-form show card style, and this inspired Popular Records JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.
