I was working on the universality of the typeface, so that it would be suitable for both long papers and books, but also for formatting narrow columns in magazines.

The simplification of similar formal elements creates a homogeneous and contemporary impression. Erato comes in six weights and in OpenType format. All weights contain standard and discretional ligatures, small caps, proportional lining figures, tabular lining figures, proportional old style figures, lining old style figures, matching currency symbols, fraction- and scientific numerals.
