This typeface was designed as the house style by and for design studio Mysterian. It was drafted and completed during most of 2020. The intention of the design of the forms was to develop a unique signification in the mind, but one that could have potential relevant associations such as with sci-fi. The solution, brought along with a fascination with this rarely seen pattern in type, was to taper round forms. The name 'Multipolar' was inspired by the term used by game theorist Daniel Schmachtenberger, which is a kind of event that seemed relevant to the Covid-period in which the font was made. Alternate characters include: Two Ampersands Upper and Lowercase PI Upper and Lowercase Eszett Latin Characters

Grandis ("chainlink") was initially intended for a first person shooter’s UI, so this guided the design. The font had to be readable while maintaining sci-fi feel and also to not rely on kerning (most video games don’t support it). This meant a large x-height, steep diagonals and squared bowls to reduce the amount of white space between letters. Tabular numbers as default facilitate UI design where timers or tables are involved. What makes the font stand out from similar grotesks is the letters’ classical proportions with wide bowls and narrow rectangles. The result is a readable, versatile workhorse with an interesting dynamic rhythm and where extreme weights/widths can also be used for display purposes. Supports multilingual Latin and Cyrillic, including Bulgarian and Serbian alternates.

Hemicube is a geometric logotype font, created by Mans Greback in 2020. Its futuristic lettering follows a mathematical pattern while being minimalistic and clean, which makes in work perfectly in sci-fi or technology context graphics. It is a three-style typeface family; in addition to the regular Hemicube style, it also comes as a basic Type style as well as a monogram Logo style. In the Hemicube Logo font, write any three capital letters to make a cube monogram. Example: ABC Use underscore to create a logo with fewer letters. The Data Error Horiz AOE Pro family is a spinoff of my Data Error AOE Pro family. Quite simply, it takes on a slightly different feel than the original pin matrix grid by stroking across all horizontal glyph lines. The horizontal lines add more readability to the original grid and lend a more sci-fi vibe to the family. Offense is an unyielding rectangular slab-serif face designed with consistently balanced letterforms and a refined finish. Useful links: Using the variable font in Illustrator Working with a variable font in Photoshop TT Frantz is an experimental variable font, distinguished by its slimness and lightness. The variation in the font affects the change in the height of the mean line - by moving the axis adjustment slider you can easily raise or lower the mean line of the font. In TT Frantz, you can find small references to the art deco aesthetics, which are expressed in significantly lowered or, conversely, heightened waist of the letters. In addition, depending on the position of the axis adjustment slider, the closedness of the aperture changes for some letters. In order to preserve the main feature of the font—the change in the height of the main line—we made lowercase characters as tall as uppercase ones, but at the same time we kept small kerns. An interesting fact is that in Cyrillic letters з с а е, the variability of the aperture follows a different scenario in comparison with their Latin sisters. When working on TT Frantz, we tried to make it so that when changing the variability, the width of the characters would not change, and the font would remain monospaced. And in order to avoid holes in the set, we made contextual alternates and several ligatures. Frantz consists of 470 glyphs, and in addition to broad language support (Latin and Cyrillic) it can offer standard and old-style figures, including their tubular versions, as well as ligatures. I was inspired to create the Rainier type family during my summer back home in the Pacific Northwest. The concept behind it may be simple - a hand crafted font family - but what it delivers is quite complex! Vox Round is the softer version of the Vox family. The original brief for Vox was a extensive monoline typeface that can be both precise and friendly, yet contain enough choice of seamlessly interchangeable variants for the user to be able to completely transform the personality of the typeface depending on the application. We named this font Scholz Secession. Fin-de-siecle Vienna, Austria is the source of this Jugendstil design from Schriftgiesserei Eduard Scholz. The original release was under the name Reklameschrift Secession. Most of the curve strokes look like commas to me. The letters are as soft and plump as the comforter on the bed I slept on in a Salzburg B&B many years ago. I was traveling with a college buddy and our next stop was Vienna. There a kind, young student named Hanna and her boyfriend took us under their wing. One of the places Hanna proudly showed us was Otto Wagner’s Majolika Haus, built in 1898, and only about 8 blocks from Secession Hall. Hanna explained to us that the style was called Jugendstil and represented Art Nouveau as interpreted within the framework of their culture. I even took a picture. After all, memories are part of who we are. Figures are old-style for text use. This font would not be my first choice for a spread sheet. Included are German ligatures ch (alt-0123) & ck (125), two period ornaments (135, 175) and lower case o and u with Hungarian long umlaut (215, 247)). A very likeable and easy-to-use font.

Athelas Arabic, created by talented Iranian designer Sahar Afshar, is an elegant typeface for fine digital and printed books — perfect for Arabic literature’s captivating forms. Wood Type Catalogs of the 19th century often offered tools and accessories alongside alphabets of wood type. Probably the most closely related was wood type borders and ornaments. Decorative Borders were often sold by the foot and accompanied by corner pieces that matched the designs. These borders could be assembled in almost any size dimensions as needed. The digital version uses the same principals of modular assembly to create the exact size border that is needed. Along with the borders, included in this font are a selection of "streamers". These banners would have been made to order with the font designs reversed out along a horizontal banner with decorative end caps. The digital version allows for a modular assembly by selecting choice of end caps and then typing the = as many times as needed to achieve the desired length. 10 styles of 9 piece borders can be created in any size variations as well as 8 styles of streamers in any desired length. Some of the designs can be mixed and matched for unusual contemporary design interpretations of these historic styles. It is recommended that the line height (leading) is set to the same size as the point size setting, this will visually lock all elements together.

This font is an adaptation of the cyprus syllabic script to a Latin-based font. I tried to assign as many correct letters as possible, but there were too many characters so I had to fit them. Please review the alphabet table of Cypriot syllabic to use the Font. To see all the characters, you can see all the characters and add them to the text by selecting this font from the add character section on the word page. Cypriot syllabary The Cypriot syllabary was used in Cyprus from about 1500 and 300 BC and is thought to have developed from the Linear A. The earliest known inscriptions from between 1500 and 1200 BC are in an unknown language called 'Eteo-Cypriot', or 'True Cypriot', and the script in which they are written is called Cypro-Minoan. From around 1200 BC Cyprus began to be colonised by Mycenaean, Minoan and possibly Cretan Greek settlers, and they probably adapted the existing script to write their own language - the oldest known inscription in Greek dates from the 11th century BC. Cypriot Greek had much in common with Greek dialects of Arcadia and Pamphylia, which corresponds to the province of Antalya in Turkey.

TELEPATH Telepath by Coniglio Type, first appeared in 1998. It is now in opentype .otf as of 2021. Telepath is a master sampling of a Royal office typewriter of industrial strength provided by the Miller Furniture store, of Dunkirk, New York. It had a baseline set of numbers to make accounting practices easy and line up nicely on the statements. (No gentile old fashioned numerical ascenders and descenders.) Kometa Sans is a contemporary grotesk with a certain personality. She has a steady geometric skeleton, but its appearance is rather humanistic. Just like the M.C. Escher impossible figures and optical illusions, "Denedo" is a font that is impossible to construct in three dimensions because it only exists as a drawing. This font is based on the "0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9" characters of one of the alphabets published by Nedo Mion Ferrario in the "Letromaquia" exhibition that was shown in Caracas, Venezuela in the 70's. The reason why I chose to restore and complete this font is that unique and exceptional personality that each word acquires when it is written with this alphabet. Denedo is a typographic family in three styles: Denedo 1A, 1B and 1C. When mixing them in big sizes you will emphasize the balance and incongruity of its shapes, providing originality and a unique identity to every word. All of the 3 variations include a complete character set with the lower and upper case letters, numbers, accents, diacritic signs, punctuation and monetary signs. All the fonts included in this family are available in Open Type format and are perfectly compatible with Mac and PC. Pata Slab: the ultra-heavy optimism we all need in 2020 Pata Slab is the type equivalent of a catwalk stomp down a city sidewalk, a font that’s assertive, funky and more than a little sexy. Named after a colloquialism for ‘feet’, Pata features ultra-heavy slabs and contrasting hairline centers that rise from its chunky footprint. The resulting, retro-inspired vertiginous curves add instant attitude to any design. Developed in 2020, Pata is a type of its time.Pata is all upside, as it is a typeface with no descenders — one that elevates all characters to grow upward from the baseline (because, c’mon, we could all use something uplifting right now!) All uppercase characters were built to fit precisely inside a square, so they’re all the same width and height. The lowercase alphabet, eñes, cedillas, punctuation, numbers and symbols all follow the same height restrictions. Despite all that confinement, Pata sports standard-height terminals that connect seamlessly so there’s nearly endless options for modular ligatures. The upshot of all this meticulous awesomeness is that laying out, customizing and stacking text super simple. New York to London via Europe The hardworking FS Koopman is a crossbred workhorse which draws inspiration from Swiss and Germanic grotesks, American gothics and early British grotesques, but refuses to fit neatly into any of these categories. Its neither one nor the other, but all of the above. Fontsmith designers Andy Lethbridge and Stuart de Rozario decided to take the characteristics they admired from each category and distill them down into one functional family. Neo meets Neue FS Koopman aims to swim against the tide of Helvetica-ish derivatives by bringing some personality and soul to a genre that all too often ends up feeling bland and sterile. FS Koopman subtly embraces the quirkiness and charm often seen in early twentieth century designs but pairs this with the functionality of later pioneers of the genre. It’s a grotesque isn’t it? The term grotesque surfaced around the early 1800s and refers to the early sans serif designs that many initially believed were strange or ‘grotesque’ due to their lack of elegant serifs. Later variations became known as neo-grotesques and this moniker stuck around even after they gained mass popularity. Some American variants became known as gothics. FS Koopman takes cues from all three categories and blends them into one cohesive design.
