Originally commissioned by magazine publisher IPC, Rogue has proved to be one of the most popular Device releases. Now extended and updated as Rogue Nova, it sports additional weights, East European language support and reengineered spacing and kerning. It is now a versatile 30-font family, with five weights and three widths, all with italics. Powerful and authoritative, sharp-edged and contemporary.

Since the release of these fonts most typefaces in the Scangraphic Type Collection appear in two versions. One is designed specifically for headline typesetting (SH: Scangraphic Headline Types) and one specifically for text typesetting (SB Scangraphic Bodytypes). The most obvious differentiation can be found in the spacing. That of the Bodytypes is adjusted for readability. That of the Headline Types is decidedly more narrow in order to do justice to the requirements of headline typesetting. The kerning tables, as well, have been individualized for each of these type varieties. In addition to the adjustment of spacing, there are also adjustments in the design. For the Bodytypes, fine spaces were created which prevented the smear effect on acute angles in small typesizes. For a number of Bodytypes, hairlines and serifs were thickened or the whole typeface was adjusted to meet the optical requirements for setting type in small sizes. For the German lower-case diacritical marks, all Headline Types complements contain alternative integrated accents which allow the compact setting of lower-case headlines.

MVB Bossa Nova is based on unattributed hand-lettering found in an old book, circa 1946. Yet unlike many scripts based on a vintage source, it feels fresh and dynamic. This is due to the skilled hands of Holly Goldsmith, who gave the forms a contemporary vigor despite their age. Alternate glyphs with extended ascenders offer extra flair.

Garamond Nova Pro is one of the fonts of the SoftMaker font library. It is a modern interpretation of the classic Garamond style. SoftMaker’s Garamond Nova Pro typeface family contains OpenType layout tables for sophisticated typography. It also comes with a huge character set that covers not only Western European languages, but also includes Central European, Baltic, Croatian, Slovene, Romanian, and Turkish characters. Case-sensitive punctuation signs for all-caps titles are included as well as many fractions, an extensive set of ligatures, and separate sets of tabular and proportional digits.

Lindisfarne Nova is an uncial-like design based on the script found in the Lindisfarne Gospels. Created by Harry Pears and Margaret Layson, it is available in two weights, regular and bold. Lindisfarne Nova is Harry’s first completed font. There are also two companion styles, Lindisfarne Nova Incised and Lindisfarne Runes.

Tupã is a Brazilian indigienous god of thunder. This typeface is a geometric Sans Serif based on vertical and diagonal strokes. The heavy weights are great for impact layouts and the light weights are perfect to make sutil and strong messages. Tupã has a wide character set, including Cyrillic, with Small Caps, Ligatures, regular and tabular numbers and a lot of alternates. This Font is great for tight leading, including when diacritics are involved, there are alternates and case sensitives symbols to make all blocked. And yes!, there's a Variable Font too.

The Joanna® Sans Nova family is the only typeface in the Eric Gill Series that was not initially designed by Gill. Created by Monotype Studio designer Terrance Weinzierl over a three-year period with digital applications at the forefront of the design criteria, Joanna Sans Nova is a humanist sans serif based primarily on Gill’s original Joanna. The design comprises 16 fonts, from thin to black, each with a complementary italic. Joanna Sans Nova has a larger x-height to ensure high levels of legibility – even on small digital screens. The series also brings to life new elements inspired by some of Gill’s unreleased work, discovered in Monotype’s archive of original typeface drawings and materials of the last century.

Norfolk is a vintage-inspired font based on the styles found on packaging from the early 1900's. It evokes a genuine and timelessly crafted look from this period. Three styles are included in this family: Fill, Inline and Outline. The styles can be used together or layered to create a variety of vintage looks for any project. Named after Italy’s northernmost region, Alto Adige is a high-contrast display serif typeface. With its condensed width and bold contrast it is excellent for headlines, packaging, magazines, posters and advertising, among any other display use. Alto Adige has large x-height making it a steady choice for sturdy text blocks with tight leading. In large sizes, you can also try tighter tracking for maximum impact. Hand drawn serif typeface designed for one of our books. It has upper and lowercase characters with up to three alternate glyphs. Build in OpenType Contextual Alternates feature will automatically set alternate glyphs depending on frequency of appearance of the same character (even in web font but only in HTML5 browsers). The script doesn’t throw random glyphs. For example in the word “HIPPOPOTAMUS” you will automatically get three different “P” glyphs and two “O” glyphs. It really works great but of course you can always fine tune it by hand. Mrs Ant has an older brother. Mr Anteater was designed for headers for the same book.

BLT Balfour : Art Deco Revival Font Balfour is a modern Art Deco typeface revival. Built from historic references in architecture during this time period, Balfour exudes class and elegance, yet still honors the style with unapologetic bold geometric forms. Pay close attention to the letterforms B and R, and how their extreme x-heights play off of the elongated strokes of C, D and G. Unique features throughout the character set make it less predictable and more unique than any Art Deco typeface before it. The geometry of this typeface plays from one letter to the next. Fill and Outline styles work well in headlines, logos and large type. The Line style is effective at all sizes and can be used in combination with other styles to achieve visual hierarchy.

There are two versions of Killer Ants, regular and bold. Regular is a very cool cracked up looking font that will be great for all kinds of stuff. Bold is on of the most distressed fonts I've ever seen - there's crap everywhere - adjust your leading (line spacing) so the grunge overlaps and you have one awesome effect. Yes, those dots are actually smashed ants. Killer!

Albe Sans is a font family that began life when I was struck by a full-color back page ad in a 1935 copy of Better Homes & Gardens. I loved the readability and general cleanliness of the design. This font is drawn from memory after that experience. It is loosely based on Palton for proportion, but heaviily modified (not to mention, Palton is serif): Lower case numbers, Euro, ballot box in the section slot.

Garlic Salt is a flavorful, hand drawn, serif font family. Drawn with a single marker pen, it has a monoline appearance giving it a distinct mix of whimsical and modern qualities. The semi-condensed propositions are sturdy and space-saving for your layouts. Choose from either the regular weight or a slightly thicker line in the bold weight to suit your needs. It works great set large as a display font to show off the hand drawn texture, but it also is pleasantly readable set in smaller point sizes because of the carefully drawn letterforms. Alta California became designer steve mehallo's "vector-based artist's response" to the early Apple Macintosh bitmapped font San Francisco. Alta California was developed using "sampled" wood type and letters from numerous historical sources. The name comes from the Alta California newspaper, the first daily published in California, one of a dubious Barbary Coast nature, a sheet that shaped the bias of San Franciscans and attracted its own grade of reporters, including a printing specialist who went under the nom de plume Mark Twain. Alta California's edges were meticulously redrafted by hand, with letterpress-inspired fallout and 19th century pointing hands. The final collection of rough hewn letters jump, dive, fall, zag and zig. Alta California looks great on greeting cards, food packaging, as retail signage for boutiques, vintage stores or at D.I.Y. sales, on band posters or club cards, in and around historical quarters, or for use on any ransom note that needs to evoke a wild west look and feel.

Gerhard is an early 1900’s Victorian style typeface that has been carefully refined for today. It was inspired from delicately hand painted lettering on a century-old vintage piano.
