Ivy Tiles was designed as a set of 62 seamless, endless patterns accompanied by font map(s). They well might be a base for designing your own wallpapers, textiles, glass wall opaque foil privacy screens or even wooden fancy trellises - the choice is yours :) The font features simple, fancy, intricate patterns in three variants (Fill, Outlines and Stencil). - Outlines were designed with an idea of serving as an unobtrusive pattern on its own, or as a playful addition to the Fill pattern. - Fill pattern was designed to give more statement to Outlines, which in some cases may be too subtle for the job you have to be done. - Stencil has the most robust shapes. I have thrown this one in just in case you might want to do some DIY stencils. You may also use this file as a starting point for some CNC cut fancy trellis, however please do match pattern to the cutting method (ie. CNC, bolt cutter etc.) to the pattern and the material you intend to cut. -By overlaying Outlines & Fill (or Stencil & Fill) and manipulating those two layers you may get “more flat” or “more 3D” look. Have fun! Note: Please be aware that you may need to prepare those patterns in order to work with them in CAD-CAM or if you intend them for bolt cutter etc.

Noemí is a broad typeface based on a formally classic skeleton, but with a strong Meccano character, where its quadrangular serifs are the protagonists of the slab style. It is a typeface designed to solve the basic problems of newspaper printing, adapted to a novel and strong communication, in the case of a wide typeface and with generous ink traps making the impression. Noemí was born from the need to create a broad, functional typeface family with a strong compact character intended for use in the press. Intended for editing and layout in a newspaper / magazine with a wide range of subfamilies thought and designed to achieve a diverse graphic functionality; designed from the same common skeleton, with a style based on the mix between the Mecan characters of traditional typewriter fonts and Roman fonts.

Pilgrim is a re-cut of a Linotype face that Eric Gill originally designed for a book published by the Limited Edition Club of New York. Admired for its tranquil dignity, the Pilgrim type is both firm and elegant. Its general appearance resembles that of Gill’s Joanna font family. The contrast of the font is not very strong. The serifs are bracketed. Eric Gill, who designed the type on which Pilgrim is closely based, observed one sort of model for his lettering - the incised monumental letter of Roman origin. This is clearly seen in his capitals, but is also true of his lowercase letters, which have little of the calligraphic or engraved qualities of most other type designs. Gill’s types are Roman in the classic sense, yet also particular to Gill himself.

In the 1990s Adobe’s MultipleMaster technology introduced interpolation into font editing programs. Though the obvious use of interpolation was to create an unlimited number of weights for a font, interpolation could also be used to crossbreed two completely different typefaces. IngrianEuroikaH is a hybrid resulting from such crossbreeding of two very different parents. Euroika is a decorative font with high contrast and thin, square serifs while Ingriana is a relaxed, informal typeface. IngrianEuroikaH was constructed in 1995-6; updates in 2012 and 2020 cleaned up many of the remaining oddities that resulted when parts of the parent fonts clashed. The family retains some peculiarities from the method of its construction but is highly readable as text. The IngrianEuroikaH family has six styles: regular, semibold, bold, italic, semibold italic and bold italic.

Rock Painting is based on ancient Northern rock paintings and I edited the glyphs to resemble latin letters, runelike. So it's quite writable and the characters can also be used separately in bigger shape. Some of the glyphs are idols of old Finnish gods and spirits: A - Ahti, god of (usually) water element or a spirit that lives in a pond, a lake or a river etc. I - Ilmarinen, god of the air K - Kaleva, ancient giant blacksmith, the great ancestor of Finns L - Luonnotar, the spirit of all nature, gives birth to creatures T - Tapio, god of the forest or the forest itself N - Nyyrikki/Nyrki, son of Tapio, a great hunter and so on. The font also includes glyphs resembling animals and things like moose, beaver, swan, fish, sickle, boat and more.

A modern sans serif typeface inspired by the historic geometric’s of the 1920’s, specifically Futura. The design is not a simple pastiche of what went before this is much more than that. It is a close investigation to how Futura inspired other type designs like Avenir and helped push the boundary of what is a modern typeface of its generation. Overlaying perfect geometric shapes careful adjustment is made for each character and each corner to a point of balance between pure mathematics and optical correctness. The result is a distinctively modern geometric font family that is strikingly simple in design yet perfectly pleasing to the readers eye. Details include 550 characters with an alternative lowercase a, g and y, five variations of numerals, manually edited kerning and Opentype features.

Neubau is a condensed geometric display typeface, designed in 2009. The inspiration for this face came from Joost Schmidt lowercase letters developed during 1925-28 in Bauhaus Dessau. Schmidt was one of the proponents of New Typography – a movement advocating the use of only lowercase letters which were constructed strictly geometrically using only ruler and compass. Neubau Pro is the new edition of Neubau fonts. The new typeface is an upgraded version of an old fonts (2009), with careful refinements to glyph shapes, and the extension of glyph amounts which enabled support of more Latin languages as well as Greek and Cyrillic languages. Neubau Pro is released in six styles with small caps, and true italics, and contains OpenType features. This typeface can be used for editorials and print designs.

Italian poet and author, Francesco Pastonchi was commissioned to produce a new edition of the Italian Classics but was unable to find types which satisfied his needs. He decided to embark on designing a new typeface, assisted by Professor Eduardo Cotti at the Royal School of Typography in Torino. Early printed works, manuscripts and inscriptions were carefully studied before drawings were presented to Monotype for matrix production. A process of careful refinement of the design was carried out in the Monotype Type Drawing Office before the typeface was ready for manufacture. Pastonchi is a Venetian style face with a fresh, almost exotic appearance, ideally suited to classical works such as poetry and short stories. The Pastonchi font family has beautiful character shapes that also make excellent display and advertising copy.

Peckham, designed by Daniel Hernández, is a contemporary and versatile slab serif of 8 weights (and matching italics)—ranging from an elegant Thin to a heavy Black—with strong serifs that give it a playful look while preserving the overall geometric structure of the font. Peckham comes with the standard Latinotype set of 395 glyphs resulting in a language support for 94% of the languages using the Latin alphabet. The font also includes stylistic alternates (A, R, Y, a) which provides extra versatility. The name of the font reminds us of the city that witnessed the birth of Vincent Figgins (1766). Figgins became known as the type designer who first included slab serif fonts in a commercial catalog. Peckham pays homage to classic typefaces yet looks very contemporary. @andinistas presents Bleak , an experimental font designed by #carlosfabiancg. Bleak is based on the imaginative use of contrast applied in the empty space and on the dramatic distributions of the wide and compressed horizontal of more than 400 textured symmetric capitals inspired by compositions of the Lissitzky, Theo van Doesburg, among others. In the Europe of the 20s, scarce resources prevailed, which gave these great artists the firm determination and dedication to create a visual vocabulary, characteristic of the composition with movable types of wood and metal. As they did not readily dispose of the forms of the letters they required, they did not hesitate to construct them with metal rulers, ornaments and other improvised pieces and remains and obtained in the forgotten corners of the typographic composition workshop.

Arnold Therhoernen. (Arnoldus ther Hornen, Drucker des Dictys , Arnold ter Hoernen, Arnold ther Hoernen, Arnoldus TherHornen.) Who was this guy? He was a printer active in the city of Cologne, having graduating from the university there. He learned his craft under Ulrich Zell. He printed books from 1470 to 1482 when the plague carried him off. Was he just another printer of the era? No, he brought out the first edition of the "Fasciculus temporum'' (The most popular work by a living author at that time.) And he was the first to use both a title page and page numbers. His page numbers, an idea probably suggested to him by Werner Rolevinck, were interesting in that they were centered half way down the page on the outer margin and were set in Roman Numerals.

In the history of 20th century graphic arts, the evolution of the informal sans serif has been a uniquely American phenomenon. The casual sans is the natural high pill of typesetting. The Treasury script waited over 130 years to be digitized, and the Canada Type crew is very proud to have done the honors. And then some. Without them it would was near-impossible to track down the lost history of Hermann Ihlenburg, the most prolific German/American type designer and punch cutter of the 19th century. We hope Mr. Ihlenburg is proudly smiling down on us from type designer heaven.

Freehand is a type system designed by Debora Manetti and Francesco Canovaro to emulate the natural appearance of handmade brush writing. Open type ligature substitutions are used to randomly alternate between different versions of each character to give the final output a realistic, uneven look. The main typeface of the system is a wide freestyle brush cursive, featuring over four hundreds of alternate version for characters and double letter ligatures. A "brush easy" version is included without the substitutions if you need more consistent look in your design and better control over letter variation through the glyph panel. The two freehand brush weights are complemented by two sets of icons of matching style, one for ui design with navigation icons and one with food icons. The system also includes a blockletter family in two weights, to be used together with the other fonts to create variation and contrast in your design.
