Sometimes type designs are set aside as one project takes priority over another and occasionally it becomes overlooked. One such example is a set of extra bold, sans serif stencil characters drawn out in 2017. Regrettably, as much time has passed, no backstory can be applied to this typeface. It was checked against existing releases in the Jeff Levine Fonts library and didn’t seem to have been re-worked for any subsequent release. With this in mind, Baggage Claim JNL makes its belated appearance and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Kanvas is a flowing calligraphy script. The typeface was drawn and created by Måns Grebäck between 2017 and 2020. Its flowing shapes are inherited from mid-century advertising, being soft and friendly while retaining a sturdy forward movement. Kanvas is a typeface family consisting of five weights: Thin, Light, Regular, Bold and Black. Use it for an invitation card, in a celebratory context or as a logotype. The font contains all characters you'll ever need, including all punctuation and numbers. It has an extensive lingual support, covering all European Latin-based scripts.

Alghera Pro is a casual script font family.  It was digitally engineered in 1996 by Pat Hickson of P+P Hickson and Steve Jackaman of International TypeFounders, Inc. (ITF).  Jackaman revamped the family in 2017 and added wider language support to include Western, Central, and Eastern European languages. Alghera Pro has a hand-written, antique feel, and was inspired by an old label on a bottle of Portuguese wine.  As with all the Red Rooster “Pro” versions, the family contains a 40% larger glyph set and improved designs.

HERENGRACHT (Patricians' Canal or Lord’s Canal) is the first of the three major canals in the city centre of Amsterdam. The canal is named after the heren regeerders who governed the city in the 16th and 17th century. The most fashionable part is called the Golden Bend, with many double wide mansions, inner gardens and coach houses on Keizersgracht. This font is a clean, modern sans serif bold. Named after “De Rotterdam”* this huge and super cool building (read the story below). Great for headlines, Posters, Flyers but also well legible at small size in large texts. Contains All European language accents and characters. --- The Story --- *This complex is located in the Kop Van Zuid district of Rotterdam, on Wilhelminapier. I was lucky to see this building from the beginning (2009) growing up (2013) That time when I was working and living here. I was always amazed by the design and how huge it is every time I took a look at it while driving or walking on the Erasmus Bridge. When I was going to work or just hiking around the city. It has a special meaning and message for me: I started creating fonts in my free time in 2010 when I came to this city to work. I was factory worker, dishwasher etc. I grew together with this amazing construction from brick to brick, step by step. By the time its construction finished, I was able to quit my day job and become a full time freelance designer.

Quartal is a family of stylish sans serif typefaces of condensed proportions. The family consists of 5 regular weights, 4 condensed ones and 13 extended styles (7 upright and 6 italic). At first there was intention to release just 4 condensed weights for headlines and advertising texts, but later 5 styles of wider proportions were added. As the result the area of applications becomes much wider due to possibility to use the font for smaller point sizes. The name "Quartal", which in this case means city quarter, according to author's associations emphasizes the advertising nature of the design most suitable to the urban environment. Character set of the fonts covers alphabets of Western Europe and basic Cyrillic languages. In addition, it includes a range of alternatives, especially in Cyrillic part. Design was done by Oleg Karpinsky. Released by ParaType in 2010. In 2011 13 new styles of extended proportions were added to Quartal family by the same author. 7 new weights and 6 corresponding italics make Quartal useful for setting not very long texts in advertising and display matter, and for magazines as well.

Fox was originally designed by W. Rebhuhn for the former German Genzsch & Heyse foundry. In reminiscence of the good old times, Ralph M. Unger redrew and digitally remastered this font in 2007. His work is based on artwork taken from old font catalogues. Fox is a very lively script, quite typical for the 50s

Paper Cube font family is the first font I've created. I unconciously started to draw letterforms with straight horizontal and vertical lines contained in a square. Soon this experiment became a 3d outlined display family of 3 weights, each one of them gaining depth and articulating into planes. Designed in Cuenca (Spain) in 2011.

Bellino is a well-crafted script typeface. Drawn by Måns Grebäck during 2018, this high-quality font has beautiful letter shapes and swashy capitals. Bodoni Campanile Pro is a font that bridges the gap between a “fat” and a compressed traditional serif typeface. It was originally designed in 1936 by Robert H. Middleton for Ludlow. International TypeFounders exclusively licensed the family from the Ludlow Collection, and Steve Jackaman (ITF) produced a digital version in 1998. Jackaman completely redrew the font for its 2017 release. Bodoni Campanile Pro, much like its transitional status as a font, is successful in both formal and casual roles. Minnak, as a whole geometric display type is our take on Square Kufic (Makili) style Latin script fonts, comes in eleven weights with linear progression. It is an Uniwidth typeface at the core. From Hairline to Black, all multiplexed weights take up the same space in width and can be used interchangeably. Supports wide range of Open Type features, with many stylistic alternates in 12 context. Minnak is also have a close relation with pixel fonts, because in spite of its based on Makili forms, it all started as a pixel font in the drawing stage before further steps came into play. The key difference between Minnak and Makili style is that the latter must have the exact square counters with no diagonal strokes, and any other components of a letterform must conform to be proportional. Such style-specific requirements determine the overall dimensions of the glyphs and therefore, there can be only minor differences between the typefaces. In Minnak, counters are rectangular because of its narrow and condensed proportions, but the Makili form influence is still manifest. This impression is best confirmed with Medium weight where negative spaces and stem thickness are equal. Contrast and virtually no optical correction were presented, as characteristic of its genre had to have equal horizontal and vertical line thicknesses. As per the minimal and authentic look of the type, all glyphs are drawn as straight or only as 45-degree diagonal strokes. The representation of the ‘diagonalless’ approach is preserved by stylistic alternatives, making its similarity in visual aesthetics clearly visible. Marks and punctuation is another feature that doesn’t follow the strict rules of the origin style. Although not a pixel font, all building parts of the glyphs in Minnak share the same unit precision as they are designed with pixel equivalents in mind. Hancock Bold Condensed is slab serif typeface. The original Hancock design was produced by the Keystone Type Foundry, circa 1903; a condensed version was added circa 1917 by Lanston Monotype. Steve Jackaman (ITF) designed and produced a digital version of Hancock in 1994, and completely redrew the typeface for its 2017 release. The new version has a 40% larger glyph set, and supports Latin 1 plus Central/Eastern European languages.

Sharplion is a typeface family designed by Zeki Michael and Leyla Melis Aslan. It’s a simple, but sharp display typeface with a clear yet powerful personality, created to not only optimize space, but also build contrast on the printed page and on the screen. Sharplion, coming in two weights and a matching slanted version, is designed to give that neo-vintage industrial feel in 'titles and hierarchic subheadings, logotypes and cases of short and simple copywriting for the artisan, hand-made and small batch look.’ The first 4 letters for what is now Sharplion, were designed in 2018 by Zeki Michael to be used as a logotype for Depo Coffee Roasting’s branding project. The Bitstream version of Trump Mediaeval of Linotype, 1954-60, by Georg Trump, a prolific German type designer. It seems to be his best typeface. It has a vigorous and assumed oldstyle roman and italic that is the sloped roman, except for the letters a, e, f. With its crisp angularity and wedge-shapes serifs, Trump Mediaeval appears carved in stone. It is a strong text typeface that is highly legible and especially useful for low-resolution output. It is useful in display work too. Cyrillic version developed for ParaType by Vladimir Yefimov and Isabella Chaeva and released in 2010. Cyrillic italics maintain the main feature of Trump Mediaeval to be the sloped roman, except for the letters г, д, и, й, n, т. There are old style figures, additional ligatures and fractions available at all styles and small caps at the Roman 55. Black style was added in 2011 by Vladimir Yefimov.

Homage to 70s phototype typography in 3 styles The AW Conqueror typeface family is a nod to the spirit of phototype typefaces and transfer lettering from the early 70’s. Founded by Ed Rondthaler, Photo-lettering catalogs swarmed with more daring typefaces than the others. Both transfer letter and phototitling have liberated the principle of letter-to-letter spacing, previously impossible with metal type. Phototype allowed operators to position millimeters, on the fly, letter after letter: words, sentences according to the specifications of the art director.
