Andulka was drawn in 2004 for the purposes of publication and visual identity. Her peaceful expression also excels in poetry and fiction. It reads so smoothly that you won’t even know that its width proportion is actually narrowed, so it’s very suitable for magazines, newspapers and thickest volumes of scientific literature. Her serif counterpart is Andulka. The entire Andulka system can easily build a typography of the entire publishing house.

This new font was inspired by the game with different signature styles. I also added 102 ligatures to it. The result is a light and nice font that looks completely hand-drawn. Benton Modern was first prepared as a text face by Font Bureau for the Boston Globe and the Detroit Free Press. Design and proportions were taken from Morris Fuller Benton’s turn-of-the-century Century Expanded, drawn for ATF, faithfully reviving this epoch-making magazine and news text roman. Cowhand is a display typeface designed by Toshi Omagari to keep words at one specific width. Words of one letter will have one very wide character, words of two letters will have characters of half that width and so forth. At the maximum of 20-letter words, characters become very tightly compressed. The design of the Cowhand typeface is inspired by western style block printing with reverse stress that is characterised by chunky slab serifs. Laughter JNL is a deconstruction of the vintage sign painter's design Brushmark JNL. By flattening most of the curved lines and making other minor adjustments to the original font, the end result was a fun and playful sanserif that is great for lighthearted ads, party invitations, special events, point-of-sale signage and many other applications where a less-than-formal type style is required.

The design of P22 Foxtrot is inspired by the lively ballroom dance of the same name. Foxtrot is a transitional antiqua with rounded serifs that features ligatures, small caps, oldstyle numerals and full Central European support for those with applications that support OpenType features. The companion, Foxtrot Sans, is a sans serif version with a little more jazzy expression. Both fonts are great for text and display.

My second font for 2009, Bling is a hoot. This vaguely Deco, sparkly sans is for those heads that need bling. This is the first font released in a long time without my complete feature set. It has lining and oldstyle figures, many wild ligatures, the x-height is too high to make a small caps set worth the effort. It's just for fun. Enjoy!
