In response to many requests for Morpheus, an idea came to us. Why not make a font that looked a bit like Morpheus, but which had more attractive, more consistent character forms, was rendered cleanly and properly spaced and kerned? We took a look at Morpheus and decided to redo the concept from the ground up, replacing some of the amateurish characters, adding a bit of a Celtic look and feel, developing a set of alternate characters and making sure that the design elements were consistent from letter to letter. The result is Orpheus, a font which has the general look and feel of Morpheus, but is a much more complete and fully realized design. In addition, Orpheus is a fully developed font set, with not only regular and bold versions, but with a special customized italic style and a really neat looking heavy weight rough-outlined variant.

Every time I bring my youngest son to his swimming lessons, I need to show my Covid Vaccination Pass; a QR code on my phone. I thought that I would be off the hook after I showed it the first time, but no, not at the swimming pool! It feels a bit like a bad comic book, so I decided to name this comic book style font Identity Check. Of course, I should have called it Covid Vaccination Check, but that is just too much and it probably won’t sell. Who wants a font called Covid?? ;-) Identity Check is a comic book style font. The glyphs are wider than I am used to (it seems I AM capable of learning new tricks), but the effect is rather nice. Identity Check comes with extensive language support, including Cyrillic and Vietnamese. Plus two sets of alternate glyphs, that cycle as you type.

Groovy started out as a prospective variant in the ‘Flashback’ series but very quickly established its own distinct appearance, especially with the lower case letters blending into the format so well. There wasn't any preconceived idea to design a retro looking font in principle, it simply evolved that way, but I do think it has several characteristics reminiscent of style genres from the '70s. It’s probably quite subliminal and like me, you may find yourself thinking, what does that remind me of? The double-entendre'd title is quite apt too, not merely for reasons of its outwardly retro appearance but also because of the considered, rounded elements forming the negative spaces throughout. The font also has something of a chameleon-like personality, being both adaptable and capable of having a trendy / fun appearance, or alternatively something solid and stylish, depending on the use, as demonstrated in the banner examples here.

First off, Slivowitz is written with a v (SlivoVitz), rather than a w, but I liked it better with a w. Slivowitz is a plum brandy from Eastern Europe. My father used to be an international truck driver and he often had to go to Eastern Europe. He took all kinds of ‘western’ goods with him to give away (plastic bags, beer, cigarettes - remember, Eastern Europe at the time was still communist!). He always came back with bottles of Slivowitz. I never tasted it, as I was too young, but I liked the name and I decided to name this font after a fond memory! Slivowitz is an easy-going handwritten script font - it looks good on fashion items, book covers and fancy magazines, but greeting cards will look just as great. Comes with a bunch of ligatures, alternates and a whole lotta diacritics!

Short Films is an all-new-styled family, which kind of looks like Art Deco Style. Wide opened counters and softly rounded bowls create a new feeling – Retro but futuristic, geometric but humanistic. Exquisite contrast between thin and bold parts of glyphs make mixed feeling – Pop and feminine, formal and casual, strong and soft. The most distinctive feature is a coexistence of decorativeness and Readability. This coexistence expands the range of font usage. You can use this font for not only titling but also body-text. Short Films consists of 6 weights and their matching Italics for a wide range of usages. Further, Short Films supports international Latin languages and basic Cyrillic languages including Basic Latin, Western Europe, Central and South-Eastern Europe. The Planetype Font Family is Modern. It has 6 Font Styles: X-Light, Light, Medium, Inline, Bold, & X-Bold. Each style has a consistent weight with a square serif of equal weight to its vertical and horizontal strokes. Planetype™ for short or Planet-Type font styles all have extremely clean edges and are sharply defined. There is a standard kerning applied, however evenly letter-spacing these family members give a distinct personality and continues to command the negative space just as in tight kerned examples. The compatible relationship of these font family members, weight to weight, and X-Light to X-Bold is seamless and the overall design coloring of words and sentences is well balanced and extremely legible. The Planetype Family fonts are matching members glyph to glyph. This family works in modern, contemporary and vintage settings. The Planetype Medium matches the outer weight of Planetype Inline. Their are several unique Glyphs that set the character of this family, such as: Caps B, M, Q, R, X and Lower Case a, e, k, r, z to begin with. The numerals and dingbats also have several unique glyphs that flow with the family Style in every matching weight. These characteristics lend well in designing logos, brands, and even monograms. Starting with Planetype X-Light the designer has a command of the clean lines yet expressing Modernism and a touch of Architectural structure. Planetype Medium & Planetype Inline are a dynamic duo giving a positive/negative readability.

A interesting grotesque from light to bold.

Pocketknife is a simple grid-based titling font on it’s surface, but it has a surprisingly prolific set of features under the surface. The most notable of these features is an abundant set of ligatures that give Pocketknife it’s unique look. There are very few kerning pairs contained within Pocketwatch, and these ligatures fill in most gaps that could be created by letters with more empty space, such as L and T, and also give a more playful look to an otherwise sharp-edged typeface. Pocketknife also contains with 2 full sets of alternate characters, one pairing with the uppercase set and one pairing with the lowercase—available as OpenType stylistic alternates or individually in the Glyphs panel. Pocketknife Regular is designed to be used on it’s own, while the Inline and Base fonts are designed to be used as a simple layered combination. The Base font is nearly identical to Regular, but contains a few specially adjusted characters that better accommodate the Inline style. Pocketknife Outline is a combination of the Inline/Base styles, to be used individually. Pocketknife is sharp, but playful. Simple, but sophisticated. Sporty, technical, and aggressive, yet elegant and fun. Pocketknife, while simple at first glance, is a deceivingly versatile typeface.

Berryfield started as an experiment: making a font entirely out of geometric shapes. It started with a couple of circles and a couple of rectangles, and was constructed entirely from those parts, and parts made from those parts! For the uppercase, I took style inspiration from the heavy serif classics. But when it came time to create the lowercase set, I took a sharp turn and looked to fun unicase fonts, creating uppercase-height lowercase letters, in addition to uppercase alternates. When I finished Berryfield Regular, I liked it so much I made a lighter version (almost like a typewriter font), and a heavier version, to give you even more variety! Each font in the family contains over 520 characters, including over 300 extended Latin characters for language support. There are also a number of alternate letters to choose from, as well as superscript ordinals (ST, ND, RD, and TH), all of which are PUA-encoded for easy access no matter what design program you're using. Berryfield was a ton of fun to make, and I hope you have a ton of fun using it! It's smooth and easy for both print and crafting; the uppercase alone is straightforward enough for a magazine headline, but combining in the lowercase makes it quirky and fun.

»XPress-Rounded« is my new addition to »XPress«, my Sans-Serif that impresses – especially in small sizes – with its outstanding readability. »XPress-Rounded« looks very different, almost like a completely new font. But the rounded version has the same seven precisely calibrated weights from »Thin« to »Heavy« and its corresponding italics make this font-family universally usable. The »XPress« fonts got their bearings from the fabulous American »Gothic« fonts of the twenties of last century. Modern, present day elements, high lowercase letters and infinitesimal elegant slight curves in start- and end strokes make the font family not only great for body copy, but also very useful in advertising. Here's something you don't see every day—Italian Art Deco woodtype. It's suave but unsophisicated, an unpretentious charmer. Both versions support the Latin 1252, Central European 1250, Turkish 1254 and Baltic 1257 codepages.

Originally inspired by the natural beauty of seahorses and their environment. It has the appearance of a turn of the century display face, but is in fact completely new and original to Drewfonts.

Designed by Les Usherwood. Digitally engineered by Steve Jackaman. A few weights were originally released by another foundry; but this complete version of the family is a better match to Les’ original drawings!

I don't know why exactly, but I felt the need to create a Western font. Band Wagon is a handcrafted cowboy font. It comes with curly slabs, spurs and ye olde outlaw spirit.

The days of hot metal may be behind us, but Anvil looks as if it has been forged in a smithy’s fire: a handsome, heavyweight display face that is both impressive and impactful.

Clochard is a handmade, Bodoni-like font. It is a little loose, a little rough in places and a little uneven, but it all adds to Clochard's charm. Comes with plenty of diacritics!

Cerulean echoes the elegant lines of an Old English typeface, but is pared down for versatility. The alternative characters, available in the swash version are intended to compliment the more legible regular style.

Dungarees is a font on caffeine... It's a normal sans-serif typeface gone wild: jagged in some places, smooth in others. It makes documents not only fun to read but really interesting too!

Bodoni Classic Condensed is another personal addition to my Bodoni Classic family. Giambattista never designed a condensed typeface, but I think it is really fitting into the family. Yours, family minded, Gert Wiescher

Designed by Francesco Simoncini and W. Bilz, this design follows Times New Roman in structure, but differs in some details. Unlike Times New Roman, the boldface is a weighted version of the roman.

Handlettering discovered on a 1937 brochure for the Dutch Mails Shipping Company provided guidance in developing this rather unusual but commanding typeface, marked by strong geometric shapes and a very large x-height.

TOMO Minkwalk is a casual but legible hand-made font. A tall, single weight, all-caps typeface with lots of language support. Ideal for book covers, or large pieces of text. Have fun!

This unique font has been designed and is based on lip rouge on windscreen. But it inspires a different feeling for different people; e.g. Organic, mathematical or ancient. Rising Star on April 2008.

Fishhook is a letterbat font that makes letters from fishhooks and barbs. In the plain version the fishhooks look more realistic, but the bold version may be more satisfying from a typographical perspective.

These modern, handwritten letters can be used for fancy headings or images. The characters aren't oriented straight or orderly, but a bit random. So they look like they were written by a human.

RosarGrad is a simple but elegant calligraphic face with six style: plain, italic, medium, medium italic, bold, and bolditalic. It was inspired by hand lettering on a graduation picture from the late 1960s.

Chen Xing, literally “morning star”, a font both futuristic yet mystifyingly ancient is cast in contemporary forms on the cutting edge of the present moment, but harkens back centuries to endless cultural heritage.

PL Britannia is a display face with a clear contrast between thick and thin strokes. PL Britannia is a good font for posters and titling, but it is not suited for text purposes.

Desmond Text is a highly readable and quirky serif face with a tall x-height and glyphic serifs. It is easy to read small, but with pleasing details that shine at display sizes.

Here's a Morris line; a traditional and legible font in small sizes, but almost abstract in big sizes. Named after my son Morris and it's got nothing to do with a certain musical...

Hadrianus is a full-featured text font with calligraphic qualities. It's derived from Roman period lettering, but with the weight and style of pen-drawing and the features of a sophisticated text font.

Nana is a classic joining script with long ascenders and descenders, that is based on a set of unique but forgotten initials that were designed in the roaring 20s and 30s in Paris.

Assembler is a font designed by Ethan Dunham that has a slightly bouncy, organic feel, but at the same time is mildly cold and angular. Suitable for headlines and single lines of text.

Mad Cash is punked, grunged and shattered - all at the same time! When viewed at a small scale, the font seems grungy - but the larger you view it, the more shattered details appears!

The Sideshadow family has 4 weights, Regular, Bold, Light and Half Light (which is intermediate between Regular and Light). The distinguishing feature of the font (you don't actually need me to explain this, do you?) is the partial shadow to the side of the main character, giving it a distinct and eye-grabbing look. The zip files contain both OTF and TTF versions of the font - install one version only.

ZT Grafton is a neo-grotesque typeface based on geometric shapes with contemporary, friendly, and strong emotion. ZT Grafton was built from scratch to be calm, smooth, and clean, while subtle humanist influences add warmth to this typeface.
