I seem to be in my comic book font fase. It's not that I have tons of comics lying around (I actually have none), but when I was a kid, I used to read them all the time. My kids have a tin box filled with crayon and pencil leftovers: bits and pieces that have fallen or broken off, but are still good enough to use. For me it is a treasure trove, as I often find a nice bit of crayon to use for a new font. In this case, I created Leftover Crayon. Leftover Crayon is a fat, crumbling and seriously eroded crayon font. Completely hand made, completely legible and full of character. I used to be a tour guide and I traveled to China numerous times. Movie Night JNL was modeled from one of a number of ceramic home movie titling kits on the market that were popular during the 1950s and 1960s. The camera buff would set up the letters against a colored background and photograph clever titles to describe their 8mm home movies of vacations, sightseeing or their darling children (or grandchildren).

I’m not particularly fond of beans. I do eat them, but they’re not my idea of a delicacy… But this font has ‘fairy tale’ feeling to it, and I liked the name Beanstalker. Puffball is a fat face with cartoonish features. It also wouldn't look out of place in an ancient Celtic engraving. What makes Puffball so intriguing to look at is that it seems to walk a thin line of buffoonery and ornamentation.

Font family Opticum is not just a set of fonts, it’s a maze construction kit that hides letters inside. In January of 2006, Jeff Levine fonts debuted with ten releases.
