Maison Luxe is a revival of a very old font designed in France in or around the year 1820. You may have seen this font in the past under the names of Circus, Roma, Madame and Gillé Classic. As of November 2016 we have changed the name of this font from Gillé Classic to Maison Luxe which means Luxury House in French. For many years Joseph Gillé was credited as the original designer of this font however we've recently been contacted by a type historian in France reporting that he could not find any evidence supporting Joseph Gillé as the designer and to the best of his knowledge an artist by the name of Sylvestre may be the true designer. If you love this classic font then you're sure to enjoy the alternate version also with a matching lowercase available from FontMesa under the name of Home Style. This version of the classic with its squared off shadow is true to the original design where Home Style has diagonal lines creating a cast shadow. New in 2016 for Maison Luxe is a new matching lowercase, an uppercase German Double S (versal eszett), Greek character set, opentype features including case sensitive forms and old style numerals. Hoxie JNL is based on an example found in an old sign painter's design book from the early 1900s and has been translated to digital form by Jeff Levine. All of the quirks and charm of hand lettering have remained.

Comix Gorilla GABRIEL BAUTISTA is the artist of John JG Roshell's CHARLEY LOVES ROBOTS series. His incredible watercolors graced the pages of ELEPHANTMEN #50. In some circles he is known as "Galvo" or "Gabo" and he has brought his brofu color skills to the pages THE SPIRIT, ALL STAR WESTERN and also illustrated JESUS CHRIST, IN THE NAME OF THE GUN. This 2013 updated version adds alternate letters, additional language support for eastern, central and western European countries. The glyph set includes Latin extended A, B and Latin extended additional for Vietnamese plus Pinyin support for Chinese transliteration, finally we've finished the set with some discretionary ligatures.

A charming font inspired by the Brazilian beloved album for children by Vinicius de Moraes, author of the bossa nova classic 'Garota de Ipanema' (Girl from Ipanema) with his partner Tom Jobim. The font has a cheerful cutout look, as does the original album cover designed by Elifas Andreato in 1980. Arca font is loaded with alternates for a nice natural look and has yet quite cool interlocks. Its complementary font brings handsome graphic elements to add some bossa here and there. Picture if you will, a balmy autumn evening in Manhattan during the 1930s and a well-dressed couple out on the town. They hail one of the hansom cabs located near Central Park and climb in for an old-fashioned romantic ride around the green. Such are the type of images the stylized Art Deco hand-lettering comprising Horse Drawn Carriage JNL evokes. The inspiration for this font was the title card for a 1935 Bette Davis feature entitled "The Girl from 10th Avenue".

This extremely heavy informal script was created in the early 1920s by Lucian Bernhard. Like so many of his designs, this typeface has its roots in his earlier poster work. Bernhard Brushscript invokes a rather warm, pleasant feeling despite a number of quirky characters. Originally created for the Bauer Foundry of Frankfurt, Germany, the face looks as though it’s been drawn with a brush and contains looping ascenders and descenders. Perfect for situations where a quaint and casual lettering effect is desired. The Bernhard Brushscript is also available in the OpenType Std format. Some new characters have been added to this OpenType version. Advanced features currently work in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress 7. Gilgamesh is the work of British designer Michael Gills, based largely on his calligraphic experiments and named after a poem from Middle Eastern mythology, The Epic of Gilgamesh". Gilgamesh offers functionality with style and will give emphasis to any typographic design."
