Futura is a classic geometric sans serif, one of the crucial typefaces of the 20th century. It remains relevant today and is widely used in logos, headings, web and print. Futura was designed by Paul Renner for Bauersche Gießerei (Bauer) in 1927. The typeface is based on simple geometric forms and is close in the aesthetics to 1920s-30s constructivism and the Bauhaus. Futura PT is the most complete Cyrillic version of Futura. It’s a type system of 25 styles: 16 regular and 9 narrow, from Thin to Extrabold. Futura PT has linear and old style figures, subscripts and fractions. The typeface supports more than 100 languages: Western and Central European Latin and the Cyrillic-extended. The Cyrillic version of Futura was designed by Vladimir Yefimov in 1991–1995. He partially redesigned the typeface in 2007, making it a wholesome consistent system, and Isabella Chaeva added new styles. The typeface was released under the name Futura PT. Isabella Chaeva returned to work on Futura in 2022. The typeface has three new styles, old style figures and extended Cyrillic support.

Lotter blackletter with Drop caps One fine day I found a vintage book, it called “A treatise by the Dominican friar-writer Marcus von Weida on the Brotherhood of the Holy Rosary”. It was printed in 1515 by Melchior Lotter in Leipzig. The text was illustrated by hand-colored engravings on religious and liturgical themes and beautiful initials I like. Lotter was the last name of a family of German printers, intimately connected with the Reformation. An innovation by the elder Lotter was his use of Roman types for Latin, reserving the Gothic types for German. I'm happy to present to you my new font family. Lotter font family has Drop cap and Regular styles. It's all you need to precisely imitate medieval style text. Glyphic Neue was inspired by the Op Art style of lettering in the United States that ran rampant in many photo type houses in the 1960's and 1970's. The Glyphic Series from the Franklin Photolettering group was an influence and spring board for this family of fonts, hence it's name. But Glyphic Neue departs from its unicase Franklin influence in several ways. Firstly the designer created both upper and lower case forms. The lowercase has been designed with barley protruding ascenders and descenders and with an x-height equivalent to the cap height, so that upper and lower can be exchanged indiscriminately for a quirky effect. Some of the letters take a cue from the original Glyphic series but many have been redesigned entirely to fit the designers vision. The italic forms differ enough from the upright version making it almost an entirely different display alphabet. Glyphic Neue is a versatile family of 6 fonts -- 3 widths, each with an accompanying italic that look equally at home when used on a party flier or a sports team visual identity.

Steel Grrrder is a robust, industrial-style stencil typeface family consisting of six weights, from light to black, with corresponding italics. Tweed is a journey into the 1930s world of hand-lettering. The design looks very much like the personal scribblings of an old-fashioned cartoon animator. It’s the sort of sketch-style you might find describing a goofy caterpillar or laughing willyworm. Tweed is fun and light-hearted with open and rounded letters of a somewhat musical quality. Derived from old letterforms popularized by Carl Holmes in his wonderful book on the subject, Tweed is basically friendly in nature. This typeface is great for personal greeting cards and stationery - any kind of casual correspondence. It works well in display situations, too. And yes, there is an alternate to the funny-looking “w” character. Just press option l (el) on Mac. Or Alt 0172 on Windows. Tweed is now available in the OpenType Std format. Some new stylistic alternates have been added to this OpenType version. Advanced features work in current versions of Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress. This is the digital makeover and major expansion of a one-of-a-kind melting pot experiment done by VGC and released under the name Mardi Gras in the early 1960s. It is an unexpected jambalaya of Art Nouveau, Tuscan, wedge serifs, curlycues, ball endings, wood type spurs and swashes, geometry and ornamental elements that on the surface seem to be completely unrelated. But the totality works in a surprisingly loud and playful way that really defies categorization. Jingo is really five fonts in one: Over 1000 glyphs, four character sets, ornaments, swashes and ligatures. The forms are interchangeable in uppercase, lowercase and unicase settings. There is nothing low-key about this typeface. It is well suited for use on posters and book covers that require happy weirdness. But most of all it's great for those who like to fiddle with their type setting until amazingly conicidental pleasantnesses ensue. -OC Format Sans is the third incarnation of this geometric grotesk sans serif which fuses the style of Futura with the rhythm and proportions of Akzidenz. Love story is a display hairline typeface for use in big sizes and short texts. It’s inspired by different kinds of love and specially designed for Valentine’s day. Designed by Luciano Vergara and his wife Guisela Mendoza who has been studying ornaments since 2007 and has done her best for each project. Delphi grew from a logotype Lily Feinberg produced using Greek-column-inspired letterforms. As that concept expanded to include more and more letters, the typeface had its beginnings. Intertwined, kinetic, and deliberate, Delphi carves itself onto the page and screen, encouraging variation and experimentation. The letterforms’ unique construction and predispostion for experimentation inspired two varying sets: Delphi Dio, comprised of two-line strokes, and Delphi Tria, built of both 2- and 3-line strokes. With a design as elaborate, yet tightly tuned as this, the desire to add more and more was irresistible—you'll see a number of stylistic, swash, and titling alternates (and even more hidden away in further stylistic sets). Because Dio and Tria could only hold so much, alternate cuts were produced to better organize your options: the Delphi Alt fonts feature certain letter styles and stylistic alternate sets distinct from those in Delphi. Delphi’s sophisticated, striking letterforms make it an ideal display face for use at large sizes, and with so many unique details and alternate letterforms, it’s simply fun to use.

Langston is an original design by Alex Kaczun. It’s part of a series of lettering experiments, manipulating body proportions, characteristic elements and spacing to achieve some dramatic visual effects. It is hard to characterize if Langston is an outline or inline font. The outline has the same thickness and proportions as the stems. And the inter-letter spacing is also visually similar. This creates a dynamic and interesting visual harmony throughout. DT PaperType has evolved and morphed over time from quite distant origins. I previously created DT Paperside. It was neither Papyrus nor SSI Countryside, but was inspired in some ways by the Papyrus form, although untextured and smoother, and had the more open dimensions and proportions, similar to that of Countryside SSi, with its larger easily readable lowercase body, and more consistent, shorter stems. DT Paperside had an open scripted feel which was pleasing to the eye and easy to read. DT PaperType has since been crafted from of the original Paperside font. The Organic flow and comfortable form of Paperside has been retained, but it has been shifted very much from the feel of a script font, into a quality, extremely readable, organic and friendly, serif font, retaining its clarity, while adding a great deal of pose and class. This font is primarily suited to body text, and as such is extremely readable. It does however also make an excellent Display font, and comes with a full set of over sized Caps that drop below the line to stand out on a headline when required. Paperside can also automatically enhance the first letter of most sentences, and changes other letters to suit their position within words, and the letters they appear beside. Now comes with an italic that curves and softens various letters. For best results, use this ‘smart font’ with Contextual Ligatures turned on. Mulitiple Stylistic Alternatives are included. Inspiration for this fonts predecessor (Paperside) came from two other fonts. Papyrus: designed by Chris Costello and created in 1982, it is a hand-drawn textured typeface, emulating texts written in biblical times. One of the most used (and misused) fonts of all times. Owned by Letraset, and currently published by the Internation Typeface Corporating (ITC). Countryside SSi: The serif font of an unknown designer, currently licensed by Southern Software Inc. 'Meeeeoooow'! Seventies is another of my 'funkadelic' attempts (1) to fill the existing gap of seventyish looking fonts. In my opinion, that decade has a hidden treasure regarding type that remains unexplored: Only very few fonts rescue its 'groovy' essence, its ‘colourful’ qualities. But, don't have a cow man , and keep on truckin! With Seventies, my new foxy mama , your projects will stand out among the rest. Since there’s not much information available about this kind of lettering I had to get ideas from other styles: Nowadays it’s easy to find all kind of books or guides to understand and practice how different styles of calligraphy and lettering should be done. However, for some reason, 60s and 70s letters seemed to ignore/be free of rules... Was this suggesting the birth of postmodernism? I incorporated some ideas of the copperplate style of calligraphy: The ductus of its forms may be compared to the way letters are made in snell/engrosser’s script. Obviously, this is just the idea behind; the delicacy of thins is replaced here with the graceful imprint of really thick thicks with a brushy look and tons of good vibe . Seventies will work awesome in posters, brands, magazines, book-covers of any kind, due to its modern look adapted to our century. Well, catch you on the flip~side !
