    Muscle came from the original sketches for Sneakers. At the time my concentration with Sneakers was to create a curvier, chunkier display. I left Muscle behind, thinking it was too masculine. Rather than discard those original sketches, I decided to make it even heavier, reduced the total number of weights, create a function small cap system that when integrated with the lowercase makes a great biform component for short display settings.

Panettone is a sweet bread loaf, originally from Milan, which is usually served during Christmas. Of course, you could use my Panettone script for your Christmas cards, but Panettone won’t look bad on invitations, book covers and products that need a classy look. Comes with ligatures for letters that just don’t connect well.

Flying Saucer is a family of 2 fonts: a rough(ish) sans serif and a script font. Both fonts come with Italics. Use Flying Saucer for anything space related (or whatever you feel like using it for).

    I wanted to do somewhat like Blackletter, but Blackletter is hard to read sometimes, so I tried to solve this problem and to do something unique. This font is able to be used with all European languages including ancient and reconstructed languages like Old Church Slavonic (it can be written by Cyrillic or Glagolitic script), Proto Slavic, Ancient Greek etc. It also includes IPA, so it can be used in education.

    Céline was inspired by a recent trip to a vineyard in the South of France. A vintage stencil numeral set was etched onto the wine fermentation tanks. Céline is a one weight stencil display typeface with plans to expand the family with multiple weights and non stencil versions.     A blackletter font I could not resist to revive: Ernst Schneidler’s Buchdeutsch, released by Schelter & Giesecke in 1926 which I renamed as Werbedeutsch. This font contains the letter ‚long s‘ which can be reached in two ways. Either you use the OpenType feature ‚historical forms‘, or you type the integral sign on your keyboard. To achieve all ligatures, it is recommended to activate both standard and discretionary ligatures.

    Majordomo font is a font that was based on a vintage unnamed alphabet I found in an old font book. I traced it and added serifs and weight. Majordomo is a person who speaks, makes arrangements, or takes charge for another. Typically, the term refers to the highest (major) person of a household (domo) staff, one who acts on behalf of the (often absent) owner of a typically large residence.

    Cerulean comes from the Latin word caeruleus, meaning dark blue. I have always liked this color, so I decided to name a font after it. Cerulean Blue is a handmade brush font family, consisting of a nice handwritten font and a caps font. Both fonts come with their Italics. Cerulean Blue can be used for just about any design, but product packaging and book covers come to mind.

One pigeon (called William of Orange) even saved more than 2000 soldiers during the Battle of Arnhem. Pigeon Post is a lovely cartoon and kids font. It comes in a sans and a serif style, so there’s really no excuse for not using it!

    I designed this font because it didn't exist - it’s based on hand rendered type created for black and white line marker scamps used in the advertising industry. I use it that way and it’s saved me a LOT of hand-rendering time over the years. Of course, Scamps works as an informal marker script in its own right too.     Element 120 (Unbinilium) is a hypothetical chemical element in the periodic table. You can forget about that, I just thought it was a cool name for a font. Element 120 is a hand drawn Ultra Bodoni. I drew all the glyphs by hand, then gave them a good grunge makeover and the result is what you see before you. Comes with a periodic table of diacritics as well!

    ITC Noovo is from British designer Phill Grimshaw and grew out of his work on ITC Rennie Mackintosh. He says, I still had 'Nouveau' coming out of my ears" and he drew it after a series of computer-intensive projects, "when I was missing the smell of permanent marker pens and the feel of paper." ITC Noovo is highly stylized yet works as both a text and display typeface."

  31. Mrs Keppel by The Ampersand Forest, $19.00
    Remember when you first saw the credits of a Woody Allen movie and thought, "I love that typeface!" Well, maybe that was just us. That typeface—Windsor (specifically Windsor Light Condensed)—is a classic. But it has problems. The letterforms are sometimes REALLY wonky. And the ampersand is a tragedy. Plus, there's no italic, and the weights and widths available in digital form are a hodgepodge. That's where Mrs. Keppel comes in. Alice Keppel, one of the most famous illegitimate members of the Windsor household ever, lends her name to this typeface family with numerous weights and a true italic. It's a slim serif with Edwardian leanings. She's approachable, she's refined. She's equally charming and at home in mercantile settings, in elegant settings, in populist settings, and in Polite Society. She's a design response to a genuine need. She's Mrs Keppel!

    Deva Ideal was inspired by women’s beauty. It didn’t come only from the desire to create a new typeface. It also seeks to materialize beauty in a visual form. Instead of imitating the shapes of the female body or other formal attributes, Deva Ideal is an abstract expression of the women’s beauty. The unique character of the typeface is achieved by the use of soft, almost invisibly bent strokes, since one of the priorities of the typeface is not to disturb the eye of the reader with odd design details. Deva Ideal excels in her cold beauty and shows her sex appeal. The soft curves present in Deva Ideal differ from the masculine and technical shapes used in most contemporary typefaces. Deva Ideal has ideal proportions (90 / 60 / 90) and its shapes are essential and simple. Because of this, it is ideal for setting text in all kinds of printed matter: catalogues, books and magazines. The letter forms are wide and open, so text can be set in small sizes and thus space can be saved, while keeping the same degree of readability.     Hanna has its roots in the Plato and Cilantro fonts published earlier by Wilton Foundry. It is an informal roman and very legible at any size - a rare combination for many applications. Hanna was specifically designed to generate additional income for an orphanage in Ethiopia. Hanna Teshome runs an orphanage of roughly 140 children in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She is an amazing lady with a deep passion for orphan kids as well as innocent kids that find themselves in jail because their mothers have been imprisoned - they are treated as prisoners and are typically sexually abused - it is not uncommon for them to commit suicide when they are released from jail at age 18. Most of the orphans end up with Hanna because one or both of their parents have died from AIDS. Hanna relies entirely on donations to keep her orphanage running and this font is a small but tangible way for you to help make a difference in the lives of the orphan kids. I am committed to helping Hanna after visiting the orphanage several times and seeing the jails from where the kids have been rescued. Hanna is my hero because she stepped out of her comfort zone, with no financial support, to take care of the kids. My hope is that you will use this font as a messenger of good. All of Wilton Foundry royalties for this font will go to the support of Hanna’s orphanage in Ethiopia. Thank you in advance for your support on behalf of Hanna and the kids!

    Antwerp On a visit to Belgium and the Netherlands while still an MA student at Reading University, Eleni Beveratou made some important discoveries. First, there was the letter ‘g’ from the Didot family seen at Plantin Moretus Museum in Antwerp, which seemed “almost like a mistake”. Then there were strange details such as the serifs on the “l”, “h”, “k”, “b” 
and “d” in Egmont Cursive and other typefaces by Sjoerk Hendrik de Roos, found in volumes of poetry she picked up from a chaotic bookshop in Amsterdam. These were characters that stood out from the text but seemed to blend harmoniously with the rest 
of the letters. “And there it was, the spark. 
I decided to design a typeface that would capture the details of the process of writing.” A guiding hand Eleni shared her initial thoughts with Phil Garnham and Jason Smith. They liked what they saw in her tentative first sketches, and gave her the chance to develop her ideas further. Phil, in particular, provided valuable input as FS Olivia took shape. Eleni’s main influence – the handwritten – would give the font its character. “When creating a typeface,” says Eleni, “it’s fair to say that it reflects some of the designer’s personality. And that’s certainly the case with 
FS Olivia. “Although technology is part of my everyday life. I am a great admirer of traditional graphic design where you can touch and feel paper and ink.” Irregular “What I particularly like,” says Eleni, “is that a printed item can develop its own personality sometimes as a result of imperfections in the print. “FS Olivia has some of 
these characteristics as it’s inspired by handwriting, 
and yet it also includes some 
very modern features.” Feminine and fascinating, FS Olivia captures the expressive twists and turns of (the poet’s?) pen on paper, with low junctions, 
deep top serifs and semi-rounded edges. Round outstrokes contrast with 
the rough corners of the instroke, while strong diagonals and inclined serifs create a richly textured pattern. Polytonic It’s only fitting that there should be a version of this poetic font for one of the birthplaces of poetry and song. Eleni, who hails from Athens, developed an extensive range of glyphs that could be used for the Greek language, in both modern and ancient texts. For the latter, there is a version of Olivia for displaying polytonic Greek (a system that utilises a range of accents and “breathings”), which brings the 21st century technology of OpenType to the presentation of poetic texts from Ancient Greece. Just think what Homer could have done with that.
