While for decades typography has strived hard for perfection, one of the routes taken by the typography world as a whole has been to eliminate any form of ‘human imperfection’ in the typesets, but what about the times when you DO want to send across emotions of a personal human touch through your fonts? We did a step back...these fonts will give your shop-signs a personal touch, telling your buyers that they will get personalized attention, be it through an online or an offline business…We hope you love them as much as we do. Whether with pen on paper, or in digital, realistically connecting vertical handwriting is never an easy task to accomplish. After working with many handwriting fonts, and after intently dissecting so many different handwritings, one tends to expect such things to be quirky, disconnected, and almost never upright. In fact, in spite of vertical handwriting’s academically-sung virtues of rationality, efficiency, clarity and logic, very few people manage to deviate from the natural slant when writing. Even fewer manage to make the vertical handwriting connect and keep its natural flow. Calligraphy and upright cursive aside, it is almost impossible to make a vertical letters connect and maintain a real handwriting appearance. This is where the genius of this design comes in to bridge the gap between upright handwriting and calligraphy. Sincerely is based on one of the most fascinating handwriting designs to ever come out of Germany: Karlgeorg Hoefer’s 1968 Elegance for the Ludwig & Mayer foundry. It is a handwriting with the full meaning of the word, yet it possesses the rare, very commanding and appealing trait of being both vertical and connected while managing to remain realistic. It is the ultimate branding iron of handwriting fonts. When set and printed, Sincerely simply cannot be ignored. Ideal for humanity-asserting poster designs, lettering of short wording with plenty of space, poetry, notes, greeting cards, craft literature, book covers, history-related designs, and a whole range of other applications.

This set of decorated initial letters was inspired by those used in 1510 in Nancy (France, Lorraine) for printing of "Recueil ou croniques des hystoires des royaulmes d'Austrasie ou France orientale[...]" Author Symphorien Champion, unknown printer. There were three sorts of initials family, but only one complete and clear, except a very few characters. The printer used some letters to represent others, as V, turned over to make a A, D to make a Q, M for E, So, the reconstruction was a little less difficult. Thorn, Eth, L slash and O slash were also added. The original font's letters was only drawn in white on a black background only, but it was tempting to propose a negative version in black on white. A few letters have multiple appearance, but only the A was clear enough to be reproduced. It can be used as variously as web-site titles, posters and flyer design, publishing texts looking like ancient ones, or greeting cards, all various sorts of presentations, as a very decorative, elegant and luxurious additional font... This font supports strong enlargements revealing its fine details and remaining very smart. Its original medieval height is about one inch equivalent to about three to four lines of characters. This font may be used with all our blackletter fonts, but as well with "1543 Humane Jenson", "1557 Italic" and "1742 Civilite", without any fear about anachronism.

Aries Streaks is the perfect typeface for any project in need of spunk, edge, or youth. It's extremely eccentric while remaining legible, and has both an air of nostalgia and modern style. Great for use on titles, labels, handwritten projects, and large text projects. Glyph count: 440 and supports most western languages.

ITC Jellybaby is the work of British designer Timothy Donaldson, bouncing all over the place but somehow remaining compact and legible. It began as an extremely fattened version of Donaldson't typeface Pink but then became transformed into a play on the futuristic" typefaces of the 1960s. Jellybaby expresses both retro and modern design."

Choc font is the work of French designer Roger Excoffon, based on the traditions of Japanese brush calligraphy, thick yet graceful. Choc light font was designed by Phil Grimshaw, who had to redraw many times in different weights before finding one that worked as a text face and remained true to the original.

Capsa is a typeface designed for use in books. Although inspired by Gros Romain Ordinaire and Saint Augustin Gros Oeil from the Type Specimens of Claude Lamesle, this typeface does not intend to be a revival or an interpretation. The Vignettes and Patterns provide a very classic yet contemporary look to the design.

An alphabet based on classic Roman letterforms. As a model for our typography since ancient times, Roman stone inscription remains the starting point for all Latin letterforms. Working with these classical letters is an eternal dance for the graphic artist. The constant drawing and refinement of detail. A typographical relationship for ever.

Fifties-style beauty parlor signage is the main influence of this series of hairstyle silhouettes.

This script font was inspired by the type called “Bastarde Flamande”, a much appreciated one in the Duke of Burgundy’s court at the end of 1400s for handwritten books. A book titled Histoire Romaine (Roman history), from Roman author Tite Live, translated in French by Pierre Bersuire, circa 1475, was our main source for drawing the lower case characters and many of the upper case. Each character was written by hand with a quill pen on rough paper so as to look like the originals as much as possible. This font includes “long s”, naturally, as typically medieval , also a few ligatures, final and initial characters but there aren't any abbreviations because the text was written in French rather than Latin. Instructions for use are enclosed in the file and identify how to keyboard these special characters. This font can be used for web-site titles, posters, fliers, ancient looking texts, greeting cards, indeed for many types of presentations as it is a very decorative, elegant and luxurious font. Large type size shows this font at its best.

Amorinda is a connected script that manages to be wild and disciplined at the same time. It can scream wildly within a design or smoothly blend in to make it more human. With its versatile character and a complete set of alternates, Amorinda is the perfect display face for everything from product branding to signage. This 2007 version of Amorinda is now available in OpenType format to expand possibilities of use with lots of alternates when used with OpenType-aware applications such as Adobe Creative Suite.

HANNAH & CLAY | handwritten serif font After the love that MILK & CLAY received, I thought I would make a serif version for all you serif typeface lovers out there. It is the handwritten version of one of my favourite fonts 'hannah hannah'. I absolutely love how this turned out and the unpolished warm feeling this font has. It feels very high-end, but still approachable, inviting and grounded because of its soft edges and human feel. I hope you love it as much as I do xx

Ivà by Joan Barjau / OpenType, 2 styles.   Ivà, a very personal script based on the handwriting of the cartoonist called Ramón Tosas "Ivà, digitised by Joan Barjau in two plain weights. These fonts were set for the credit titles of a film in 1994 and remain in our collection as an icon of those times.

Qwatick is a decorative serifed family with three weights, each with an italic style. It is squarish and has small serifs. The bold style has high contrast and the regular style remains readable even at small point sizes. The family originated as a reworking of the odd display font Quidic, moving it toward normality and greater legibility.

From the March 2008 issue of In Your Face: "(Morning Sans) is an especially legible stressed sans (that) manages to combine both a calligraphic fluidity with the hard edges of incised lettering without focusing too much attention on individual characters: it remains very readable and keeps an even color on the page, even in long settings."

Here's another gem from Samuel Welo's perennial classic, The Studio Handbook, originally called Goddard Classic. Welo's inimitable penwork manages to be both worldly and whimsical, and remains as fresh today as when it was first introduced in the 1920s. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode Latin 1252, Central European 1250 and Turkish 1254 character sets.

Broken Vows was one of two typefaces I created to go along with some fragmented poetry written as I went through a divorce, the second being WHORE. The letterforms contain fragments of familiar script faces that are attempting to hold themselves together. Some of the connecting elements of the letterforms remain and hold the face together.

This revival of the Bruce Foundry’s No. 11 is typical of the nineteenth century types derived from the work of Didot and Bodoni; the face remains popular with lawyers and government printers. In fact, Theodore Low De Vinne opposed this kind of design as hard to print and read; he had Century designed to replace it.

Devama SRF was designed by Typodermic's Ray Larabie and provided for Stella Roberts Fonts. Available in Regular, Backlash and Forward, this typeface evokes a retro-80s look while still remaining clean and fresh. The net profits from my font sales help defer medical expenses for my siblings, who both suffer with Cystic Fibrosis and diabetes. Thank you.

Reminiscent of the hand-lettering found in mid-century children’s books, Akemi Aoki’s MVB Grenadine is a quirky sans, broken free of its geometric roots. DuBois JNL is based on hand lettering designed by Albert DuBois of New York City, and originally titled "Round Block". His design was found in an old sign painters' design book from the early 1900s and has been translated to digital form by Jeff Levine. All of the quirks and charm of hand lettering have remained.

Destructive Decisions is a font based upon the inherent flaws of human nature—presented under the guise of complete legibility. At first impression this font is very readable, but upon closer examination you'll notice the edges are fuzzy and some of the lines are off-kilter. You can read it, but it is also a bit foggy. No matter how hard it strives for perfection. This font was originally designed for a cable tv show about substance abuse, but is now available for use in your web and print designs, too.

Yummo is a geometric and somewhat condensed sans serif type family that can be used in a wide range of applications. Richard Lipton originally released Sloop Script in 1994 through Font Bureau. Sloop Script Pro is the new, improved, rethought version, offering expanded language support and smart OpenType features. Xanthine… is a purine base found in most human body tissues. Yes, you can forget that. I don’t even know what it means, but I suddenly realised that I was running low on fonts with an ‘x’ in the name. Xanthine font is a messy brush: it is all caps, but upper and lower case mingle freely. It comes with a whole bunch of diacritics and some interesting ligatures as well. I have included a very handy shapez pack and a truckload of arrows - anything to make you happy…

Breuer Headline exhibits a modern geometric structure tempered with subtle strokes of friendly humanism. Its neutral forms and sturdy rhythm are convincing without being forceful. The lowercase has a slightly casual feel. Set in all caps for a sterner message. Breuer Headline is the display complement to the Breuer Text family. Differences are found in the inside curvature of the lowercase arms and the simplified Oblique as opposed to the Text Italics.
