Jeff Levine first designed Sennetarium JNL back in 2004; based on the large drop caps found on intertitle cards from an old Charlie Chaplin film. The font’s name is a nod to Mack Sennett, king of the screwball comedies of the silent film era.

The hand lettered title on the 1945 sheet music for the song "Louisiana Hayride" is an Art Deco design with a nod to the preceding Art Nouveau era. It is now available as Barn Dance JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The beautiful calligraphic typeface Ambiance comes from master designer Rob Leuschke. The complete array of characters includes a swash alternate for each upper and lowercase letter. Called contextual alternates in OpenType, the swash characters are automatically substituted in the appropriate context when you select them.

Sign and Design JNL is a casual brush alphabet modeled after an Alf R. Becker design that appeared in Signs of the Times Magazine. Thanks to Tod Swormstedt of ST Media and the American Sign Museum for providing the reference material to make this font.

Coleface was created by the British typographer Roy Cole, completed shortly before his death in 2012. It comprises six fonts: Coleface 30, 60, 90 and the italics 33, 66, 99. As with his earlier typeface families - Lina, Zeta and Colophon - Coleface is a highly-readable sans serif typeface that offers significant flexibility in terms of its potential uses. Roy Cole studied typographic design under the tutelage of Emil Ruder at the Gewerbeschule in Basel, at a time when typographic history was being made through the creation of a style that epitomized modernity. Consequently the principles of order, simplicity and legibility, fused with experimentation, became a hallmark of his practice, as exemplified in his last font Coleface.

A bold retro-future font ~ cosmic, weighty & groovy. Each letterform began with a rounded edge box as the base and ovals as a way to create negative space. In instances where the oval was not enough, a series of simple additional arced or straight cuts were made. What resulted is a unique and original font with a lot of personality. Stylistically, the font has a space-age vibe while possessing sleek, futuristic characteristics that ultimately make it feel fresh. It is not meant to be a go-to font for articles with a lot of text, but meant to expand ones library and in the right moment it will bring a lot of energy and major impact. We all love a good burger here at Vette Letters. We also love to prepare them ourselves. Grilling the patties, cutting the tomatoes and cucumber, nothing beats a home made hamburger. And the best and tastiest way to grill a burger is on a wood charcoal grill. So all in all we can safely say that burgers and wood are a pretty darn good combination. This made Donald Roos decide to design VLNL Woodburger, obviously based on 19th century American wood type alphabets. Donald decided to add cyrillic characters, as he strongly believed that Russians would be equally partial to home made burgers. VLNL Woodburger is not really polished font, it will give any design a rough sturdy edge.

A blackletter font of decorative style and of obscure origin which was rescued for all devotees of these old hot-metal letters. This font contains a bunch of useful ligatures, and by typing 'N', 'o' and period and activating the OT feature Ordinals you get an old-style number sign.

Baby Fat, designed by Milton Glaser in 1964, saw a lot of action during the psychedelic poster phase. This little dumpling is based on that workhorse, and takes its name from a phrase that also got around a lot in the 60s. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

Stars & Type is a display font inspired by a road trip around the USA. It is bold, abstract and experimental and is meant for attention grabbing large headlines. Utilising stars to give a sense of Americana, it would be suited to editorial, advertising and display typography.

Gens De Baton is based on a charming lower case alphabet that appeared in the Almanach des Enfants pour 1886 (Paris 1886) under the heading “Amusing Grammar Lessons.” Gens De Baton means simply “Stick People.” The unknown designer turned the bare letter forms into drawings of people for the enjoyment of the children for whom the almanac was intended. The letter forms themselves were based on the French Romain du Roi (King’s Roman), except for the ‘g’ and the ‘j’ -- which were based on Baskerville. The letters ‘w’ and ‘y’ were not included, as they are seldom seen in French. We have left the letters somewhat rough, as they appeared in the Almanach des Enfants , resisting the temptation to clean up all the lines and render them with digital perfection. We have used our HiH Firmin Didot to supply an upper case and auxiliary characters, as Didot was originally a modified version of Romain du Roi. It is interesting to observe the contrast between the polished look of the Didot upper case and the rough, hand-drawn look of the lower case. Purchasers of this font have our permission to use it for the amusement of adults as well as children. We recommend setting Gens De Baton at 24 points or larger.

The courageous Russian author of the best seller Anastasia, Vladimir Megre, once said that this remarkable woman would inspire creative people around the world to produce their best work. Since I consider myself a creative person who has been deeply touched by her story, I sincerely hope that this will be true for me also. Anastasia talks a lot about God, the wonders of the natural world and how all things have been created so perfectly. This belief in universal perfection, however, is not confined to mystics alone. Many great mathematicians and scientists, including Albert Einstein, were of the same opinion. Having read Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code, I became quite fascinated with the so-called Fibonacci series; "a sequence of integers in which each integer (Fibonacci number) after the second is the sum of the two preceding integers; specif., the series 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, . . ." (Webster’s Dictionary). These mysterious numbers, which are said to give divine proportions, are found throughout nature in everything from a rose to a spiral galaxy. Many believe that this reinforces the argument that there is a divine intelligence back of creation. With that in mind, I thought it would be interesting to see if I could somehow create a font using these numbers in the design process. If I have succeeded - even partially - in attaining these mystical proportions, it will definitely have been worth all the hard work. And, I sincerely hope that many will enjoy using this font in producing their own best work.

Joachim Müller-Lancé's Uppercut is a rather sporting fellow, originally developed for the Krav Maga training center of San Francisco (Krav Maga is a simple and efficient self-defense system that has become equally popular in Hollywood and with law enforcement). Joachim has spent several years training, hitting things and people whenever he needs a break from kerning. Uppercut can be seen on the school's t-shirts and other articles. Despite bearing the same moniker as an upwards punch to the chin, the name actually fell together quite naturally as Uppercut is an all uppercase typeface, and the word "cut" is also historically used to describe a type style in hot metal type. For this slanted look, "Angle" felt just right (with thanks to Mia McHatton). The design idea sprang from pencil sketches for the center's new identity. Uppercut's shapes are not calligraphic or handwritten, more like lettering seen in comics or sports logos. Its brush movements are imaginary, not too literally brushy. During development, details were simplified and reduced until a bit of a cut-paper feel emerged, but more fluid like writing. The shapes are economical and efficient; simplicity makes the font versatile, holding up in small as well as big sizes. Uppercut is decidedly analog, muscular but not bulky, with the fluid but determined movements of a boxer or martial artist - not theatrical but powerful, fast, confident and dynamic. Well... it has punch. In the proportions, there is emphasis on a strong upper edge "keeping its guard up", while several stems protrude downward, giving the impression of leaping or being "light on the feet". Use Uppercut to pick up the pace, add snap, verve and drive - on movie posters for action and adventure, to advertise your dojo, rumble or prizefight, racing team or tuning shop, or invite friends to your barbecue with old time rock'n'roll and homemade hot pepper sauce.

Shelton is a Typeface with an eroded, printed look. The letters seem to be from different alphabets to support the wood type feeling. Every letter has an alternate character. Shelton has wide language support and also contains arrows and other special glyphs available through the OpenType contextual alternates feature.

Rabid is an inky, messy, super distressed display font. It's part charcoal, part chalk strokes, add a splash a of red and it starts to look like blood. Why SO Serious? It has about 200 glyphs including all those extra pesky foreign features. O Hope you like it.

The movable letters used on temporary road signs in the U.K. inspired this utilitarian typeface. Also included in the font are numerous other carriageway symbols and emblems. RMU Edelgotisch is a carefully redrawn revival of the then trend-setting Schelter & Giesecke hot-metal original from the fin-de-siècle period. This fine vintage font elevates all your projects in an Art Nouveau style. To reach the historical long s, either type the integral sign [ ∫ ] or turn the round s into the long s by using the OT feature historical forms. It is also recommended to activate the OT feature discretionary ligatures.

A tessellation is a shape that can be used to completely fill the plane—simple examples are isosceles triangles, squares, and hexagons. Tessellation patterns are eye-catching and visually appealing, which is the reason that they have long been popular in a variety of decorative situations. These Tessie fonts have two family members, a solid style that must have different colors when used and an outline style. They can be used separately or they can be used in layers with the outline style on top of the solid style. For rows to align properly, leading must be the same as point size. Sometimes you need a lot of text, and that text needs a little bit extra something. Something sweet for the eye, but still legible and not too funky. Maybe that's where Kids Rule comes in. It's a bouncy, but super-legible handmade comic font. It has a lot of attitude, and I have added 5 different versions of each letter!

A dotted script typeface Puntino is (maybe the first) dotted script typeface and not made up of grid-based dots. They are optical corrected and there is always the same distance between the dots, with the aim to create more harmonic letterforms. The dots also vary gradually in size to reflect the thickening and thinning of strokes, giving the letterforms a sophisticated overall look. Puntino comes up with 4 styles and is perfectly suited for logos, brands, congratulation cards … The language support includes Western, Central and Eastern European character sets, as well as Baltic and Turkish languages. OPEN TYPE FEATURES: Standard ligatures and contextual alternates should be activated.

Rasteroids Old is a typographic flashback to computing of the early 1980s, when 7-pin dot-matrix printers were the state of the art, and most home computer displays were TVs hooked up to RF modulators. Rasteroids Old not only captures the dot-matrix printer look, but recreates the rasterized appearance of text on those lower-resolution monitors. Rasteroids Old is a fixed width font lacking any descenders. Furthermore, the character set is limited to the subset of US-ASCII that would be available on a typical machine of 1980. As such, it is not intended for large areas of copy.

I've had a lot of lovely cakes through the years (My wife is a great cook!) But I've also tried some really...ehem...not so good cakes. Actually, the worst cake I ever had, was at work - if you didn't know, I work as a kindergarten teacher - and the cake was made by one of the kids! Anyway, this font was made as a sort of tribute to that cake - the font may not represent something that is smooth and lovely, but it was made with lots of personality and love - just like that cake from that kindergarten kid!

Every single character in Nipey is unique! Meaning that no characters is a copy of another. All accented characters therefore are hand-drawn and unique. For example, the letter "ñ" is not a copy of 'n' with a diacritical tilde - and this goes for all accented characters, as well as the ordinary ones! Besides that, Nipey has got autoligatures for doublelettered lower- and uppercase, as well as numbers. But that's not all! Nipey also has got a full set of alternate lower- and uppercase letters! Talk about a unique font, huh! You will need to use OpenType supporting applications to use the autoligatures.

After a lot of time sitting at my desk, creating fonts and trying to figure out how my new software works, I really like to work out a bit. The only thing that I do not like is the music they play at the gym; it is usually a selection of poppy tunes that appeals to a large audience. But not to me. I prefer my death metal - and eighties music, as it brings back a lot of good memories. So, I bought myself some ear buds and installed a music streaming app on my phone. Yes, I know, I am probably the last person on earth who discovered streaming... One day, during a workout session, I listened to a list of eighties music and one song that I had forgotten about started playing: Rappers Delight by The Sugarhill Gang. When I started working on the font, I had to think about the song and named it Square Beat. Square Beat font, other than the name implies, is a rounded, handmade font, ideally suited for books and magazines aimed at a young audience, toy packaging or posters. It comes with great language support, including Vietnamese.
